Revology Car Review | 1967 Shelby GT500 in Antimatter Blue Metallic

- This is car #129, a 1967 Shelby GT500 in Antimatter Blue Metallic with Wimbledon White LeMans stripes. A modern Ford color, we think Antimatter Blue suits very well the 1967 Mustang body style, with just the right amount of metallic. Optional red calipers create a nice contrast against the gray VN427 wheels. We think we will see this well executed color combination again in the future!

Spot on commentary regarding EV vehicles. EV is the complete antithesis of what I think Revology represents. Keep on rocking it Tom… like I’ve mentioned before, I would love to see a Revology classic mustang that was more affordable for us mere mortals. Imo, you would see more sales from a more affordable Revology than an EV model.
Yeo right ! We want V8 and nothing else.
Boy we can dream....Something between 50,000 - 90,000 would put most of us there. But I know revology is extremely niche and that won't happen :(
More affordable would be wonderful. I get it, super niche, not large production, but still...$200k +? Ouch. We can dream though right???
I think the EV talk is worth a whole separate video. It is a great insight to the industry and Revology heading towards the future.
couple of great crate motors out there now that can crank out more torque than the Coyote motors. Issue would be batteries
I love Revology cars. I would love to own one. I think that your views on Revology adopting EV technology are 100% correct.
Love this build. Goes together so nicely. The wheels are just the right size they fill the wheel wells so beautifully. And can we talk more about Revology cars and less about EVs? I love the Revology cars and would love to see more inside videos or build videos. Keep building these beautifull cars for the owners to enjoy and for the onlookers to enjoy as well. World is a better place with these cars around!
I was born in 1993, I am 30 years old, I saw this legendary beauty from the world of Muscle Cars when I was 3-4 years old, this is the greatest love of my life.
Outstanding!
Awesome work of art! Tom, can you believe that you and your team are almost done with 130 production Mustangs?! Did you ever think you would see this day? Here’s to the next 130 and many more 🎉
Your comments are bang on and I hope you continue to make these gorgeous cars just as they are! I believe electric is the future to curb pollution BUT, having a V8 mustang rumble for a cruise will always be a welcomed distraction from everyday life.
Well said Tom
I appreciate Toms honesty about how his company relates to the topic of EV’s. No sugar coating a steaming hot pile of Shinola. Just the legitimate facts of an honest American automobile manufacturer. Hate mail gives the EV cheerleaders a sad reason to occupy space among the genuine performance car enthusiasts on our planet.
Great video Tom
I saw the speedometer only goes to 120 in this car. That seems inadequate for a gt500??
I agree EV is not a for you guys. I enjoy seeing the improvements you’ve made over the years. You guys are the leader in what you do I think that’s enough.
Beautiful car, as always. I'd be a sin to make one of your cars electric. Speaker exhaust sound doesn't do it for me. You're an artist.
Beautiful cars Tom. Love the way Revology is operated. To the naysayers. Feel free to risk your own money and time building a company that will directly compete against Revology by building classic EV cars.
Amen. Your vehicles are exceptionally special. An heirloom. A work of art. Keep it up.
I’m so glad he talked about the noise level. As he was talking, I was thinking how remarkably quiet the car must be to hear him as clearly as we can hear him. That’s amazing. And as far as electric cars go, I think we have to be honest with ourselves, they just really aren’t as green as the cheerleaders would like you to believe they are. The only advantage I see to electric cars is that they’re fast.
Great commentary, great cars, great company!
Beautiful car Tom. And beautifully stated on the other topic.
100% correct... my dream 2 car garage would be a Revology '66 GT-350 and a Tesla Model 3 Performance. You will not find a bigger proponent of electrification than me, and I do not see buying a new non-EV for daily use ever again. Nostalgia is a HUGE part of why you sell cars and part of that nostalgia is going to be a V8 powertrain. EV technology is simply not what these cars are about and they don't need to be about this either. The future may be electrified, but we can have our cake and eat it too.
Thanks for you EV comments Tom, I’m with you 100%😁👍
Spot on Tom.
I admire you Tom.
Awesome Tom! The car and the comments. I live in the area where you build, and isn't it amazing how while on your drives, more and more construction is apparent. Less and less windy roads to stretch the legs of a Shelby! Have you noticed many of the Tesla drivers becoming a "class" of light -to-light racers because of the new found acceleration?
I'd like to see you add the '69 & '70 sportroof to the stable. The numbers they bring at Mecum and Barrett Jackson shows a strong market demand.
Your words sound like they are my words from my very own mouth. I hope to meet you one day soon as a brother of intellectual spirit.
Will Revology start to offer more exotic engine choices? I know the 5.0 platform is great but for a car like the 67 GT350 I would love a high rev 8000 rpm 289. I expect that makes production and design much harder to commercialize but I would go that route for customers rather than EV.
Wonderful car, and great commentary. EV's are great and generally are the future, but for this segment, it makes zero sense. You offer some fantastic positions on the matter, thank you!
Black is the best color for those unfortunate trans tunnels...makes their visual footprint the smallest it can be, although, why not take the metal on top all the way back? Give it a more vintage console look. Everything else is simply stunning.
Why don't you put roll bars in your 67 gt500 when the originals did ? And can you add it as an option when ordering?
Please keep the v8!!! These cars are my goal! I will own one within the next 10 years! Keep the eternal combustion for as long as possible!
Thank you Tom for saying out loud what every other sensible person is thinking. EV technology is just not there yet. I shudder to think where the current EVs sold today will be in 10 years, since there will be zero value in the used market for them. HEVs and PHEVs I understand. But what will people do with their 9000lb paperweight of a Hummer when it requires another 60k worth of replacement batteries just to move it out of their garage? A battery, at least in it's current form, is nothing more than a vessel to STORE energy created elsewhere by fossil fuels. Viable solar, wind, etc energy are still years and maybe decades out of our reach.
I share the sentiment, there won’t be an EV salvage yard that you can go get parts from.
Beautiful car. I'll offer 98k
Spot on about EV's. Real car people want that sound, interaction with the engine, stick(for even more true car people. Plus ever smaller more rare one's like me that heal, toe every down shift).
I say, EV cars are like blow up dolls. They get the job done but where is that passion, interaction?
If you want that type trade in your wife or husband and just go electric.
Not me! I prefer Gas and real passion!
personally if i was to buy a car or a car like the ones you sell i would definitely not want an ev i would go with an internal combustion engine (matter of fact i bought a car a month or two ago & got a normal mk7.5 confortline)
We want V8 and nothing else. Your comments about EV are interresting but we love American Muscle Cars.
You're right on Tom!! I think the EV mustang that Ford is building is ugly!! It really shouldn't carry the "Mustang" branding, but if the movie "Ford vs Ferrari" has any truth to it, one can see the political bull shit a massive company like Ford is forced to deal with. It wasn't right to force that same weight on "Cobra" then, and it certainly has no place within "Revology" today. I fear for a future that will force the EV agenda on us. Although, I'll never be able to buy a Revology car on disability, unless i hit the lottery, I surely don't want to see your distinctive art fettered with political pressure. Keep on rockin' in the free world!!
Tom, you're a smart man. EV's are absolutely about the woke culture.
Why not make your GT350 performance based not just the GT500
Something in today's Doug DeMuro video for Tom here, at around18:18 on the clock....something from Tom's past! ua-cam.com/video/XVOu4-KAG2M/v-deo.html
I rather attend my mothers funeral ten times over than drive an electric classic car
NO EV Mustangs please ......
The Mustang is a piece of American automotive culture and should never be relegated to an EV platform.
"EVs are the automotive equivalent of wokeness" ...now there's a quote!
No ev
Well, it is named Rev-ology, and you can't rev an EV.
EV is worse for the environment
EV don't do it!
I want that same paint scheme with the new eruption green from the bronco think mustangs might have now too
I would LOVE to have an E Shelby, but I cant afford to buy any new car.
EV GT 500? Please no, leave it to the people who like to pretend.
