Quickly becoming my favourite watch content. Really refreshing attitude and makes me chuckle.
A channel that doesn't take itself too seriously, and in fact, openly acknowledges the absurdity of the hobby and its fans. I appreciate that

Fun fact, a few of these watches are offered with a display caseback but if you contact Nomos they will sell you any of them with the display caseback. Adds a couple hundred dollars but interesting as the movement is pleasant looking. I have the silver/taupe dial 36mm and I just adore it. It’s a really subtle but unusual colour, the numerals are outlined in just the faintest pink and the second hand pops. It was that or the pink for me and the silver won. I also really enjoy the seemingly very long minute hand. And the manual winding is so satisfyingly clicky.
@Mark Abraham Oliva I keep replying and it keeps deleting my replies - possibly because I'm giving an e mail address? Anyway, I contacted Nomos via their site. I'm in Europe and I don't know if there are different sites for different regions, but the address I used (and had a back and forth with) was service at nomos dash store dot you know what. (Maybe that will work).They told me they would sell me a new watch with the glass back, or if I already had one, I could have a watchmaker contact them on the same address and order to part to install for me. They didn't seem willing to just sell me the caseback directly. I didn't opt for the caseback in the end, the price had gone up shortly before I bought it and I just couldn't quite justify the extra 200-300 euro. Although it is a pretty movement!
I have the 36mm silver dial club campus. I think it’s silver, it’s a colour I don’t quite have the vocabulary to describe!
Display backs used to be so much cheaper! It used to be about €100 more to get a display back, now its around €250. In fact, Nomos as a brand across the board used to be significantly cheaper.
The exact same Nomos I own costs a third more today. Even the solid back version costs considerably more than the display back when I bought it. I get there has been inflation but the price hikes go well above anything inflation would justify...
Love it how the joke 'plays with the light ' actually shows up in the visuals, especially the four watches side-by-side shot!
Love my Club Campus! I have the boring silver dial version, but I don't find it boring. I love it.

I bought my first mechanical watch last November and it was a Club Campus 38 in Blue Purple and I absolutely love it. That cream coral dial tho… that’s a close second favorite for me

I love the club campus line. The future orange is my favorite of the current models. I would get one if I didn’t already have the Timeless Club II red accents version.
As far as wrist size goes, all we need is your wrist width in mm for lug to lug 😀
An image search for California Dial shows that pretty much all others are Roman on top and Arabic on bottom. Nomos's use of Roman on bottom is unique AND it gave them a chance to use IV for four o'clock instead of the watch-traditional IIII. Nice touch.

Orange and coral look amazing
Great video. I can’t get enough of the club campus. Nomos keep coming out with great new colors. There’s something for everyone… unless you hate long lugs on principle (luckily, I don’t). IMO, those sexy lugs are one of many things that make a Nomos a Nomos.

I recently bought a 37mm Club Neomatik on a bracelet. It's gorgeous and fits my small 16cm wrist extremely well. The long lugs are not an issue at all for me, and the thinness (less than 9mm) is a lovely change of pace when compared with the Tudors and Omegas I've worn.

you make me want expensive ah watches tho lol, i get it completely, nobody does it quite like Nomos. grail Bauhaus watches for me, especially the smaller ones, its fun to see actual color in a watch!!! edit: even when you pick a black sports watch to talk about they are actually interesting ones, keep going with your gut on these vids, it's what makes em special!

I purchased that 36 mm green dial couple weeks ago , That’s really really an insane piece you can’t find like this watch at this price point with a beautiful in house movement and incredible design, Just go for Nomos if you really don’t care about heritage.

How did you go about ordering the case back, I ordered a 36mm blue purple and in the comments section of the order requested an exhibition caseback but I’m not sure it’s been seen?
I love nomos, but have never been a fan of small second complications. Would love to see a classic 3 hand design from them.
I have the 38 Deep Pink and it's awesome. Once you try on a few Nomos you realize- Damb these are great watches!

Great video! I have the 36mm absolute gray Club Campus, and the color scheme is really great. Unlike the larger sibling, the 36mm has numerals that often appear pink, since it's a very light shade of red. The warm tone of the numerals somehow doesn't clash with the cool tone of the gray dial. Fantastic watch and dial design. I also have the bracelet sport, which is... an alright bracelet, but quite overpriced. I should have bought the cheaper version (the "bracelet"), in hindsight. I think the design on the "bracelet" is better, and the bracelet sport's unique link design makes it tough to get a good fit, even with the 3 micro adjusts.

I really can't decide between orange and coral. I like the bright, bold, energetic vibes of orange but I also like the subtle, soft, understatedly elagant vibes of coral. Damn it's a tough choice.

Evan, you know you love colour (spelt correctly) and design, thus you had to like Nomos. I being from the old world, love style and sophistication thus I like Nomos also. When I became aware you are from Portland, Oregon the home city of my favourite band, Pink Martini; well my gast was never so flabbered. What’s in the water over there that so much talent has evolved so quickly? I hear they are bringing out a 44mm model, yes it’s enomos!!!

Get one! You can also get display case back by messaging customer service and get them to adjust the order (and pay the different)

Do you guys prefer a pitchfork with three or four prongs? Mine has four, as it is garden variety, but I recently realized that the Navy Seals, Neptune and the Devil all wield pitchforks with three. Should I consider switching?
I just wish they brought back the option to do a display caseback on the Club Campus. I want to see my movement! Only the neomatik's have the option now. :(

Excellent vid. I love Nomos. I have the club 738 38.5 w/ exhibition back and the 42” club neomatic sport in blue. They are my favorite watches by far. I dig the pink and orange out of these, though I don’t think I could pull them off. Oh, I own the “bracelet” and man oh man is that thing shockingly comfy. Also plays with the light. 🌞🥹
Love the colours, don’t like California dials though. I have a 38mm Tangente, to me it wears just fine on my 6.75 inch wrist.
I want one of these but whats keeping me from pulling the trigger is that i want the absolute grey and only available in 36, I definitely want the 38.5 version. I have a blue watch so nit considering that and no other color is jumping out to me. Oh and lugs don’t bother me or look too long at all, not sure why so many are whining over them?

Fun fact! Nomos' workshop, is literally in front of A. Lange & Söhne and Glashütte Original, factory/ workshop.
I don't like how the 6 o clock marker is missing entirely, the blank space just looks "off". Its the same issue I have with the Tangente and why I ultimately got a Ludwig.

Been rocking a Club 701 for several years, and the lugs are long, but it's really not as big a deal as the comments online would make you think
I love my Tetra Neomatic but otherwise no other Nomos that speaks to me fits my wrists right. Too big or too small for my 6.25 wrists. The lugs are too long on the 36, and 36 mm is usually my sweet spot.
After a month's wait, I just got mine delivered from Europe. 38mm, white dial, sapphire back. I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed. 1) The dial appears as white in all the photos, but it's actually a light gray. Very little contrast between the dial and the hands, except for the little orange seconds hand. 2) The numbers in the minute track and the seconds track are microscopic. I think the dial would have been better without them. 3) The minute hand seems just a tiny bit too long, as if it's almost about to scratch the bezel. 4) It wears bigger than its measurements. I'm almost sorry I didn't get the 36mm, which also has the orange numbers, which I realize now I prefer to the gray numbers on the 38mm. 5) Most importantly, after not even a full day of wearing, it's already running more than 30 seconds slow. Nomos claims accuracy within 10 seconds a day.
I will however say that the case build is top-notch and the movement really is gorgeous. If you get one, spring for the sapphire back.

Your video is cool and interesting as always, and yet I can't copy with any Nomos Clubs because of their lugs' length (yes, I've said that - me too), because they're way too polished, and because I like boring colours (and you don't) and I can't really even take a look at those corals, salmons, other weird fishes colours. I can't stand that. In fact, the only one I love now is the Limited Edition NOMOS-Glashütte Club 48 Made Exclusively for Brinker’s Jewelers because it's MATTE and grey - which I've just found and which is already sold out. It's like finding the future mother of your children and after 10 minutes meeting her beautiful boyfriend (Alanis Morrissette I guess already said this).

I have to say that the colourful models do look a bit cheap, but we know that they are typical good German engineering . So you could say "a wolf in sheep's clothing" And yes, it would not have taken much to make a nice deep engraved case back as the shinny back reminds me of the cheap watches you get, even though they are not !

Nomos lugs are long. I call them Glashutte fangs.
I love the simple Nomas design generally, the colours and the prominent crown. I don't like the lugs (proportionally) and really dislike the mixture of numerals.

Those look *lovely.* Sadly, after owning a Vostok (small seconds) and a Explorer copy, I just have to have that central seconds hand on everything but dress watches and chronographs. Still, happy colours are sorely needed, even on dress watches. Fight me.
