Im thinking of wrapping the black grill on my Trailboss. How well does this stuff stand up to being on the front of a vehicle with rock chips from daily driving?
Yk it would be cooler if you just bought a hood. I’m not opposed to wrap but over time when you gotta re do it over the course of years it adds up. To me it’s better to just buy one thing and that’s it 💀
Good point. But that hood would get beat up the same exact way. $3k for that hood, same rock chips, and bs from the road, other drivers and debris. Or $60 film.
it will last a good 3 years , then the owner will remove it and possibly want to change the color or even get a different car. things like this are meant to be temporary and for people who just want to change it up a bit
Wrapped my hood and I can say that Vvivid vinyl sucks. I managed it but the material is very thin. It is damn near tack free. Also hold bubble very easy. The release pockets are poorly designed on this film. It looks good but kinda like confetti. It is definitely priced to high for the quality of the film.
Agree 100%. I wouldn’t wrap anything in Vvivid. The customer bought it, pretty much begged us to wrap it. Told him I wouldn’t leave it on there long than 6 months. Being a garage queen.
thats because vvivid vinyl is applied with pressure for air release you dont really glass it much, only lift and heat when you get a finger crease or to many bubbles. old post but figured id give you some info since ive used it alot
