This amp is brutal! I love it. It blows my SounDigital 5k out of the water! Do yourself a favor and get one! I am certain the bigger models are just as impressive!
Oh man the v1.5 in purple too? That will go perfect with the 34ab! It's also important for people to realize you don't need to run these at 1 ohm as they are very powerful at 4 and 2 ohms as well. I measured 1400W at 4 ohms for the JP23v2 and that's killer power for a basic setup with a couple of 10's or 12's and won't kill the electrical. Just make sure if you're running one of these at 2 ohms or lower you will most likely need an extra battery and always OFC 1/0. Don't let the small size fool you, this amp is a BEAST!
I have a jp23 and the 34 in purple. The work great together. I wanted to do a Ravens theme build. It looks great in my Silverado. Thanks to both Williston and JP!
Running this beast at 2ohm @Williston Audio Labs and is definitely doing more than rated because it's sounding way stronger on the dynamics than my previous Kicker CXA1800.1 which was also 1800w 2ohm rated (1945w birthsheet). Love your videos and I now love these amps! I wish the manual had a little more info though, no information on how to adjust the trim pot for the voltage indication on the bass remote, which looks like an Allen key but my small instrument flathead worked too. Don't forget your electrical upgrade for this monster! I'm Running with dual 2awg power(8'long) and ground (2'long).
@@eriqhayter8171 I was all stock w gm factory 220A alt and didn't see but a couple tenths drop wired at 2 ohms. But when I dropped to 0.5 ohm I started seeing battery voltage in the 12s on the really hard hits. No dimming but still upgrading to add a lto6.0 to avoid those bigger drops and early clip. The d4s lto6 can run with factory charging systems which is nice and should support the amp great at lower impedance. Wired at 2ohm with impedance rise, i would think most factory charging could support it decently especially most trucks and suvs. Just my opinion I obviously don't know your stock situation
Hooked my JP23 V2 up yesterday to my Rockford Fosgate P3 15s and wooow!!! I'm blown away at how well this amp performs! I have amps that I've retired such as the Rockford Fosgate Punch Power 1000a2 and the Kicker ZR1000 that were great in their own time but these amps in this era are truly amazing 👏🏿. Car audio has come so far with new technology and innovative features. I'm a fan and will buy more D4S amps for my other vehicles. 🔥🔥🔥
I bought it for my car , excellent amp !! The bass that this amp sends to my subs is very deep, I removed my cx1800 and installed this one ,, I’m running 2 12 inch l7 @ 2 ohms , very satisfied with my purchase 🎉🎉

running this on a single 15 XV3 box is 4 cubes at 32hz and its absolutely amazing. Plays demo tracks great, plays regular music great, awesome product.
I am glad you are doing different colors with you amp line. I have the JP 23 v 1.5 and it is black and the JP 8 and JP 8.4 and that blue is awesome. Do you plan on offering the other JP amp line in different colors as well? I love the blue.
Thanks for addressing That you will continue to offer the V1.5 I had made a comment because. I know several people that have built their systems around those amplifiers Using multiple amplifiers, an in order to add more power or to replace an amplifier they would need the original circuit 👍🏼. Keep leading from the front
I went with the Down4Sound JP8 in my 20’ Honda Civic on (1) Skar 10” SVR DVC2 in factory enclosure and couldn’t be happier with amp.I have since purchased another JP8 since they are stackable/slave type amps. Running (1) JP8 at 1ohm has proven itself time and time again over the Skar RP800 it replaced! Not knocking Skar RP800 cause it still works and just took it out because of the JP8’s capabilities!#JP8🔥#🔊👑
I've got an idea for an alternate version of the JP23. Instead of smaller, it would be longer, due to having all through-hole electronic components, rather than surface-mount parts, so I can do repairs if ever necessary.
Killing the game jp! These line of jp amps are everything the people could dream of. Great job can’t wait to upgrade when my finances allow me and get me one and get rid of my Brazilian full bridge. Can’t wait
This amp is Absolutely Amazing! I finally got my new power wire and was able to install this beast yesterday(I've been staring at it for 10 days waiting on this wire that had shipping problems!UGH.) I love this amp, and the sound is so clean wired at 2ohm on 2-DC Audio M3 8s and 2-DD Audio 608s. Way more dynamic power at 2ohm than my old Kicker CXA1800.1 which is rated at 1800w (the same as the JP23v2 rating) at 2ohm.
What’s the max voltage of the amp ? I heard from some that you have to put your SW level up bc the gain on the amp is turned all the way up and no output
Like I said on the Amp Dyno video, I was planning on ordering a V1.5 in the next couple weeks. Now it looks like my build will consist on a V2 and a JP34ab to run the system in this build.

I love this amplifier paired with an D4S Ultra Capacitor bank and 6ah LTO my Nissan Frontier will hold the JP23V2 and a Salt 200.4 @ 12.8-13.0 volts. This amp deserves a upgraded electrical system. I had it paired with the JP84 the Salt likes the lower voltage though and the JP23V2 seems to really have no issues with 12.5-13.5 volts and makes 2 SAV2 10"S put in work.
I have a jp33 and was thinking of getting a second one but with about 5k watts rms it’s perfect for a daily driver. Well technically not a daily driver for me as I drive a company vehicle. The down for sound amps are beasts, the rms ratings are very conservative.
Your amps are awesome no doubt about it but two things I would like to see being such a pain in the ass, would be... 1. The ability to adjust the brightness within the knob 2. Multiple colors within the knob to match people's interior
I picked up JP 95 back in 2021 and I haven't had any problems with it at all. I have put together 100s of daily driver to full-on ground pounder SPL, and SQ systems for many customers and myself since the early 90s. I have to say that for the money that I have invested in large PPI, RF, and Orion systems nothing compares the JP95 for the $$. I am looking forward to picking up some of JPs class AB amps for my next SQ. build. More bang for your buck, you can't go wrong with the JP line of amps.
Mine is en route as I type! I am currently running a SounDigital 5K (2 ohm model) on a JL Audio 13W7 AE with the coils in series. The amp does pretty well, but I have to zonk it a little. The SounDigitals measure the actual resistance and will go into protect right away if the load is below what the amp is rated. This sucks because I have around 40% impedance rise. Also, the Brazilian exhibits very wild and erratic behavior at the edge of clipping and when it clips. I have actually watched my sub's excursion envelope SHIFT FORWARDS. That's right, FORWARDS! It's as if the positive rail is stealing power from the negative rail. It is very weird to say the least. When the SounDigital clips, it makes a very terrible sound. Things I like about the JP23v2 is its small footprint. This is a big deal for my setup, because I am limited on space. I also like the huge headroom it provides, not to mention its low impedance capability. The bass knob is awesome due to all the available monitoring. It's one thing to set your amps with a DD-1, but to see a clip indication is important for higher powered setups! Big D's video sold me on this one after seeing the AMP DYNO results! I will be doing a review of this amp on my channel for sure, for the real world performance!
