The jp3 which I own,out performs this jp8 v1.5 under most real world loads.Beautiful colors and the bass remote make these great amps. Hope they start to control that little fan better tho.
Thanks for combining all three tests, really great 👍. Can you recommend an amp that can push two 12 vxfs at either .5 or 2ohms and would have good support if it does blow. Thanks again for your informative videos.
JP makes great amps, from what i see on youtube. I think im going to replace my old hcca 1500 with one of these. This may be a dumb question, but when you dyno these amps, do you have the gain turned all the way up?
How do you think the version 1 and 1.5 would pair together I have a version 1 and was thinking of getting a 2nd one for a budget build I am putting together..I have 2 sundown e v3 15s and plan to put a jp8 on each 15..
@bass321head- If you run 1 amp per sub, it would not matter if you used the 1- V1 Jp8 on 1 sub, and a Crescendo 4k on the other sub! All you do is set the higher powered amp gain, down to match the lowered powered amplifiers output. And if you were to use a clip light/bass knob, just hook it to the lower power ampifier, as that one will be the 1 to clip 1st. Setting gains are easy, just unhook any speaker wires= 0 connected to the amplifiers, then to set the gains put the leads of a volt/ohm meter into the subwoofer amplifiers, speaker outputs, set to volts. Then use a 40Hz test tone, set to repeat (recorded @ -6db to -9db your choice, -6db is less gain, and -9db takes more gain= -6db is less likely to clip). Then set your decks subwoofer output to the max setting(mine was +6).Then make sure your crossovers are set like 80Hz Lpf for your subwoofer, and start with your amplifiers gain ALL the way down (start with the lower power amp 1st), watch your clip light to flash as you turn up your decks volume knob, like if you have a pioneer deck that can go to 62, but clips @ volume 49, go to volume 48= no clipping @ least on my deck(every deck can be different, so ✔️ it out), if 48 is your max clean= unclipped volume, then go to the amp gain (use a jewlers/prescision small screwdriver), and slowly turn the gain up till you barely see the amps clip light flash, then just barely back off the gain, till its clean. Then write down the exact, highest, unclipped voltage, of this 1st= (the lower power amplifier), and then just match the other higher power amp to the same output voltage, and your done! Hope this helps?
@ryzen397- The Jp8 tested in this video, is a 1Ohm stable amplifier. You must not have watched this full video? As this amp did 1,303 watts R.M.S. @ 1Ohm! It did do 890 watts R.M.S. @ 2Ohms.
Thank you for your support man, glad you like it!
Thanks JP!
I love my JP8. Awesome test... first time I've seen the v1.5 tested. Good stuff.
I would love to see more test with the jp13. I have one of those on the way for a single 12 evl. Im hoping that gets the job done.
Oh man I see why you like em they’re awesome. Thanks for the help brother I appreciate it *im buying mine as I type this*😂

I disagree. the JP8 outperforms the JP3 and the JP* has a better fan for cooling.
@@sj7624 I agree about the fan,the jp3 power output under low voltage is better, due to the new smart tech impedance, box rise is real.

Those can take some good power. It would be hard to beat the JP23 with the .5 ohm warranty.
@Stereo MoJo thanks for your swift response 👍 and recommendation great amp indeed.
Nice job combining the videos
That amp is nice.
Can this be used for midrange door speakers?
No, it only plays the lows

Could you get away with running this with a JP84 powering door speakers on a stock electrical system?
Yes. A big 3 and a battery would be nice to add, but yes.
Will this amp be too much for a single sdr 12 rated at 600rms or should I go with an evl?
How’s the heating and playing duration on it?
I never saw an issue with either. This is one of my favorite amps on the market right now!
Can this amp push 2 sundown sa audio 12s or should i get a bigger amp for that
Bigger. Get the JP23 for those SA’s
Whats the difference between jp8 vs jp81.5?
Same amp but the 1.5 comes with the aluminum bass knob
will this run 1 12" sunsdown E12? rated at 1 ohm?
Yes, for sure
I recieved it yesterday absolutely beautiful, I am wondering if I should have gone jp13 for my single 12" E12 sundown.@@stereomojo
woah 890 nice

They make it chrome I'll buy another
Can that amp handle 1200w rms sub? 👀👀
Yes
Uff, I will buy it , I have a alphasonik vs812 rated at 1200w rms trying to get a good amo for the money to push it mid-high !
All day long. Without a doubt.
@@CrystalClearSQL Uff yea I still waiting to get shipped
