Well that's a good idea that's some Wise information the minute that he starts to rise very very high is when your plants stress the most when plants are stressed they get sick and that makes them very susceptible to bugs and fungus
Any idea why the female flowers on my cucumbers are drying up before they even open. I see a small cucumber but the flower doesn’t open, it dies & falls off.
Let’s see if we can figure it out. Couple of questions. 1. What zone are you in? 2. How old is the plant. 3. Do you know the variety. 4. Is it in the ground or raised bed? 5. Do they turn yellow and fall off or just drop from the plant?
@@bellesbackyard3264 I'm in 9A, not sure how old they are they are transplants from a nursery. They've been planted about 6 weeks in a raised bed and are vining up a trellis about 3'. They start to form the flower but then dry up and never open. I can see the beginning of the cucumber with the flower on the end but the flower dies. Not every single one does it but a good bit of them are doing it on the female flowers. They are "Marketmore" . Oh, I am a brand NEW gardener. 1st year so I am trying to learn as much as possible. Thank you for your help!!!! ❤
1.What are your daytime highs and lows right. Now. 2. Are you getting any fruit at all? 3. Do your leaves look supper healthy and dark or about average?
@@bellesbackyard3264 Daytime highs are starting to be in the 90s. I have 2 cucumbers that are about 3-4” right now. The leaves just look average. I did have a few that had some brown dead ends with spots. I cut them off. It’s like the female flowers start to make the cucumber & either it turns brown & dries up or when the flower does start forming it dries up immediately. I wish I could show you a pic.
2 oz of Dawn dish soap 1 gal of water does exactly the same thing as him making bucket loads of money selling you a product from a different company whatever folks
