Remember the days where every record shop had its own smell and atmosphere unlike the sterile stores of today?
The Alan Parsons Project "Pyramid Demo's album is the number 1 on my hope to find list, along with the Steven Wilson's album as well. Thanks for posting this information on a couple of Record Store Day albums being released.
Hi im looking forward to getting the alan parson’s project pyramid work in progress rsd . I also need to find a copy of pyramid its self on vinyl . Nice orange vinyl. Great video thanks joe
Always enjoy watching your reviews and your T-shirts are very impressive well done and keep them coming
Looking forward to RSD very much. I'm actually looking for some Van Der Graaf Generator albums, I heard Pawn Hearts for the first time this week and it blew me away so that will be the treasure I hunt sir.
Wow, a vinyl of what would've otherwise been bonus material on a CD, that's a new one on me. Or, to make a reference to the material off of *Pyramid,* that's "one more river" to traverse.
This guy cracks me up. I don’t know how he keeps current.
As a hobby musician I’m still finding inspiration from the 60’s.
That KISS shirt though!
Love the Kiss shirt.
I don't think i'll make it to RSD this year but they are both records I'd be trying to grab if I was there. I really wish Alex Paterson would somehow do a proper release of the album he did with Jimmy Cauty called "space". I bought a bootleg of it some years ago and it's one of my favourite ambient albums but my bootleg has some edited tracks on it and sounds slightly muffled on one side. I've heard the full version online and it's epic. Easily as good as Cauty's own KLF "Chill out" in my opinion. If I remember it was released but quickly pulled partly because of Paterson and Cauty feuding with each other and partly to do with uncleared Nasa samples. I've seen original copies for sale but they are rare and very expensive, even on CD they are a few hundred quid and usually suffering from CD oxidation. Thanks for the video I watch all them they are always great.
It's great you are throwing some support to record stores, just like you did for acts that most of us may not be familiar with last time.
I remember back in Vallejo, California growing up, I had a small record store right over my backyard fence. I can picture my two oldest sisters protesting for the environment with their signs in their jean bell bottoms and those 1970s shirts teen girls use to wear (kind of like t-shirts but the shirts were more decorative with more seams).
Anyway, they introduced to me The Beatles ("Magical Mystery Tour"); Elton John ("Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only A Piano Player"); YES; David Bowie; and a lot of R&B (Earth, Wind & Fire, The Commodores, etc). Unfortunately, they didn't care for metal. My other sister later on introduced me to The Cars & The Pretenders.
Speaking of The Pretenders, there are some really cool demos on UA-cam of the early band playing what looks like in a pub. Demos are pretty cool!
Nice T Shirt Man.
Hoping to grab Be Bop Deluxe’s Futurama Stephen Taylor remix on blue vinyl. A thing of aural and visual beauty.
I will go and see if my local independent record store has the Pyramid outtakes and how much they charge for it. If reasonable I probably will buy it.
I'll be popping along to my local independent store (Derrick's Records in Swansea) on Saturday 🙂
Most of all i want the psych collection Pale Shades of Gray. Also want Nancy Sinatra, Gandalf, and Siouxie and the Banshees; amd maybe Foghat and Howlin Wolf.
Focused on the John Lennon Mind Games EP
How do they sound?
I would love to have a copy of the Orb album
Oh yes! RSD is always circled on the calendar! Will be doing my traditional lining up Saturday morning shortly after 5 am to get my paws on those limited exclusive releases! Really enjoyed Elton John's DON'T SHOOT ME I'M ONLY THE PIANO PLAYER exclusive last year. Thanks for sharing.
I intend to get Elton's exclusive double CARIBOU album plus Fleetwood Mac's picture-disk for RUMOURS...at least!
I will be looking to pick up the live albums from Foghat and Thin Lizzy.
I believe there's a Steven wilson vinyl release for RSD 24 too, on my list
I'll be looking for the limited edition queen single. Could you do a review if possible? Thanks 👍
Orange Vinyl…Bloody Gorgeous.
Nice kiss shirt .
Always enjoy new vinyl.
anit buyin nothin its a bloody rip off
If you want to see clowns, you go to the circus or a KISS show. Take off that shirt.
No it's the Sensational Alex Harvey Band actually.
Stop treating him as a sex object.
..or you can see them right here ⬆in the comments!
