Not exactly a birth announcement: I bought three plants, and as a baby name enthusiast, had to name them! I went with Kit, Remy, and Ellis, and I love the gender-neutral name theme!
I have a list idea, but I am not sure how it will be received. I, as well as many of us, have suffered a miscarriage. What helped me to cope was to think of a name to call the baby.. I thought maybe a name list for the mamas out here who either didn't get to meet their precious baby, or even some who never got to know the gender, so maybe some gender neutral names, too. Not sure if it would be too traumatic or too difficult to talk about and watch, but I have found myself more than once searching for a name that would give justice to my lost angels, and peace of mind to me and my children by honoring the baby in a very special way. And you always have the most beautiful lists put together and also great ideas for word associations that I may not have considered. Best of luck out there to all of you, and a huge hug to those who have suffered loss. Take care, all!
I did this as well. I have a master name list and after each loss I would remove the name that spoke to me the most at that time…. Issac, Melody and Vera will forever be in my heart. I’m not sure how this will transition into a video, but it’s a different and cool idea. ❤️
I love this idea. I feel it would help many in this situation. We had 3 miscarriages. I named all three. It helped me tremendously. Jessica Beth. Rory Daniel. Sunny Lee. Then came our last two children, Jennifer Beth now 31 and Danzer Lee now 28! 💝💝💝❤❤

But that would only be true within the Polish speaking community and thus not account for why the name is not generally popular. Most English speakers would not be aware of that context for example and lots of popular names mean something rude, funny etc in other languages. My mum is Polish and a lot of Polish Jews actually use the name Suki as it's a nickname for Shoshana (Susan). More likely not popular because lots of people mispronounce the name "Suck-ee".
Davis also means beloved I love Mabel and Milena. Literally everyone in my life, though, said Mabel is an old lady name (including my husband) 🙄 - good thing I'm having a boy I guess 🤷♀️
I love the name Suki ( in Hebrew it's a nickname for Shoshana) and nearly named my second daughter this. I think it's not popular as most people mispronounce it "Suck-ee" and that's why we shyed away from it too.
I have suggested a graveyard vlog, looking at names! I totally understand you'd be worried about whether that was respectful. Perhaps it could work as a regular sit down video? Some of the firsts and middle combos from the 1800s and early 1900s are just what people are loving right now :)
My husband and I are having SO MUCH TROUBLE finding a boy's name we both love - so hubby went on a walk around a graveyard in my home town for inspiration. Great idea, except... he happened across a family tombstone bearing HIS surname, and... MY maiden surname O___O cue some frantic family tree research to ensure we weren't somehow distantly related 😱 we're not, thank goodness, but it certainly raised my heart rate for a second!!! baby name searching can be dangerous work! 😅

Manon is gorgeous but is actually pronounced a bit more nasally! Sounds quite ugly when an Englishman pronounces it and, unfortunately, Manon has a Karen-esque vibe in France and French Canada. That being said it's a variant of Marion, which is my grandmother's name, so I've held it in my back pocket just in case I find a lovely French man! Haha!
im irish a lot of names i love just don’t sound good with an irish accent. Charlotte for instance sounds lovely with an english accent but not with an irish one 😅

I would love lists based on the decades. It would be really special if they were inspired by the pop culture of that decade not the most popular names.
I have a Valentine’s baby too named Amanda. Not unique, but it means “worthy of love,” which seems fitting. Sanka is a brand of instant coffee in the US so I can’t get past that. 😜
Haha I love the name Milo, but here in New Zealand where I live and in Australia it’s a hot chocolate powder so can’t use it and my husband says hell no 😂🙈
My best friend’s name is Justice:) I like to tease her every so often and ask her if she plans to name her future children: liberty (lily), independence (penny), Riot, revolution (Lulu), reign etc… I love her! If any one has any more ideas pls let me know so I could show her 🤍

My mum is Polish and a lot of Polish Jews actually use the name Suki as it's a nickname for Shoshana (Susan). More likely not popular because lots of people mispronounce the name "Suck-ee".
Yep, it means that in most Slavic countries :/ watch out lol
😵
Elmer is a brand of glue in the U.S.! It would definitely turn some heads here, and probably not in a good way
Lol yeah. At least it’s non-toxic.
I think of Elmer Fudd first haha
Davis also means beloved
I love Mabel and Milena. Literally everyone in my life, though, said Mabel is an old lady name (including my husband) 🙄 - good thing I'm having a boy I guess 🤷♀️
My name is Davis & I’m a girl ☺️
I love the name Suki ( in Hebrew it's a nickname for Shoshana) and nearly named my second daughter this. I think it's not popular as most people mispronounce it "Suck-ee" and that's why we shyed away from it too.
I think Sage and Elmer are my favorite for this list.
I love Enid! Have enjoyed it for like 5 years been on the list but my husband can not get on board. 😔
Cato is a character in the hunger games!
Jebediah has Amish connotations to me, at least where I’m from in the northeast of America!
For me it's from the simpsons- jebediah Springfield lol
Happy Baby Name Monday! I’m really starting to get a name crush on Kittie & I adore the “ie” spelling also!
Loved this list SJ
I have suggested a graveyard vlog, looking at names! I totally understand you'd be worried about whether that was respectful. Perhaps it could work as a regular sit down video? Some of the firsts and middle combos from the 1800s and early 1900s are just what people are loving right now :)
I love this idea! If a graveyard is out of the question there’s also looking at family trees. I found an Amethyst Sable in mine on my mom’s side.
Name list suggestion....cherokee or indian-tribe names, love tnem fav is Shoshoni
Valentina is one of our planned middle names to honour my Nanny Val😀
Lovely. We are also thinking of this as a middle name for our daughter as my partner and I met on Valentines Day ❤️
My husband and I are having SO MUCH TROUBLE finding a boy's name we both love - so hubby went on a walk around a graveyard in my home town for inspiration. 😅
Hello everyone I rlly rlly need your help my friend is transitioning and I said I would help him come up with a name list at the moment he rly likes the name Jensen and any names that you think follow this theme and sound would be so massively appreciated!! (Looking for male or unisex names) thank you!!!!
Ah, good for him
Jason, Harlon, Jayden? Hope they help
@@carla_hi thank you so much!!!! they are going on the list
Your welcome, @@keira9107 pleased I could help 😀
What abour Ellis, Robin, Izo, Koa, Elio and Felix?
He went with Leif inspirated by his Norwegian heritage thank you all so much for your help tho he was so grateful for the list ❤️
@@isabellek293 I can see that being the case but I think the Irish accent is so charming! I wouldn't mind hearing Charlotte in that lovely accent, personally! Xx
Courtney-Leigh I totally agree, I live in France and I haven’t met a nice Manon 😂
@@courtney-leighoakes7474 I think we just all love accents we don’t have 😂 i hear the irish accent every day so it’s nothing special to me haha
also despite ireland being so small there’s actually at least a hundred different types of irish accent, most of which are completely different to eachother 😅
@@isabellek293 so true! I'm from the West Country so need to stay away from R-sounds with names to avoid it sounding too pirate-y 😂
I'm 16 weeks and we just found out were having a girl. I love Sloane which you mentioned before in your Popular names from the 1900's but its getting popular from what I hear. :(
My toddler baby girl is named Lincoln.
Ethelind is so cute!!!
i just KNOW zoe and alfie are binging these videos!!
OMG YES AHA i cant wait i wish them all the best
I actually do know a jebediah. ( Jeb-a-dye-a) they have always just called him Jeb though.
I love this list ☺☺! I have a question, when you say how many babies were called Cato for example, I think it was four, is that in the UK? xo
I would love lists based on the decades. It would be really special if they were inspired by the pop culture of that decade not the most popular names.
OMG! I love Milena Ciciotti 😍
Milena is actually pronounced mi - lay - nuh 🥰
I have a Valentine’s baby too named Amanda. Not unique, but it means “worthy of love,” which seems fitting. Sanka is a brand of instant coffee in the US so I can’t get past that. 😜
Haha I love the name Milo, but here in New Zealand where I live and in Australia it’s a hot chocolate powder so can’t use it and my husband says hell no 😂🙈
People are starting to use simple names from a few generations ago.
For example Alice, Billy, Eve...
My best friend’s name is Justice:) I like to tease her every so often and ask her if she plans to name her future children: liberty (lily), independence (penny), Riot, revolution (Lulu), reign etc… I love her! If any one has any more ideas pls let me know so I could show her 🤍
Sanka used to be a brand of instant coffee in the USA in the 50s and 60s.
What do you think of the names..
Tammy
Tammy Lynn
Tamlyn
Tambrey
Not a fan of any. I prefer Tamsin.
A hart is a male deer! As in, White Hart pubs which would usually have a deer on the sign. So you have two naturey middle names! 😍
Hi SJ, I sent an email for my baby name dilemma and also messaged on baby name envy Instagram (it was a few weeks ago and am now just over 39 weeks pregnant 🤰🏼)
Probably going to be a bit too late now but if not please don’t hesitate to share your wisdom and thoughts for our (nearly born!) baby boy ❤️
Jeffrey Paul, Patrick Benjamin, Phillip Angus or Walter Jeremy
@@katherineforbes9440 you are very helpful, thank you! We live in France, hubby is French and already have a Lucy Rose. The baby’s middle name will be Christopher (family name) and we were struggling with a first name that could work in either language for a boy.
Husband has rejected countless names, he does prefer more French ones (thus why I hoped SJ would help).
When there are two cultures/languages it does make agreeing on a name more difficult!
@@VictoriaJoly congrats! I’m 21 weeks with a baby boy. My husband and I have only agreed on one name. Quill Matthew but Quill doesn’t work well in French at all (I think). We have an Emrick Terence (who was conceived in France) and I love ‘E’ names but won’t use any for this one.
I love French names! But we couldn’t agree on any but here’s what I had, I used the ones that sound well with Christopher (again, I think):
Noel Christopher
Raphael Christopher
Simon Christopher
Theo Christopher
Rémy Christopher
I love Étienne too but I no one seems to love it like I do.
How about Silas? I'm not sure how it's pronounced in french but it's worth a try ;)
Vincent is a good one that works in French and English!!
I would have said Milena like Mih-lay-nah 💕
I am trying to find names for my quadruplets (3 girls 1 boy). Older sister is named scarlett. Any recommendations??
I'd continue the word theme 😁 What about Willow, Dove, Iris, and River?
@@wildnfearless9840 I LOVE the name river! I am adding it to my list!
@@roxyfoster4791 Great!
Someone in my family’s giving birth soon ish they r having twins they love spiritual names but they want a theme with there names they want them to some what match and it’s a boy and a girl any suggestions?
Hugo and Minerva? They have the same meaning (of the mind, intellect) and they're both vintage.
@@wildnfearless9840 aww there really cute names
Hi from Canada! 😊 It's funny how sometimes artists wrote a song about kinda "unpopular" names, maybe because they make the song unique??
"Enid" is a song by Canadian band "Barenaked Ladies" (who, FYI, wrote the theme song for tv series The Big Bang Theory).
Anyway, Enid will always be that song for me! 😅 Any songs you can think of that bring a name back to popularity? 🤔
Nice video
As an American true crime junkie Cato just reminds me of the OJ trial… 😳
