I been doing this vertical string arpeggio progression thing for about a year now. I kind of discovered It on my own with a ukulele. I like how you put this together on a video and explained every other note. I even went as far as practicing 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 2(11) and 4(13). I am hoping for some more like this but a little more advanced. Thank you
Simply the Best. Thanks Charlie. You epitomize the old Chinese proverb of "Give a man a fish you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime". Thanks for showing us the way. The rest is up to us.
This was a pretty cool way of looking at appegios especially at the beginning with the three starting fingers. Easier and quicker than just stumbling across them As I did over the years.
@@MacKinnon2k13 thanks! Yes, starting smaller and building always seems to work out better - but I can remember how some lessons were like drinking from a fire hose when I was learning!! 🎸🎶🔥
Wow! This week I started practicing switching through the 1 4 5 progression staying in the same place and realized I couldn't yet go through each chord of the diatonic in the same position on the the neck. So I started working the arpeggios to get my head around it, so this is definitely going into routine!!! Fleshing that major scale out is such a long process but I'm blimmin determined to get there!!! Your vids are so helpful thank you Charlie! Nice move working the relative minor in there and vice versa too.. sounds great!!! Thanks heaps!!! Have a great week!!! 🙏🕊️😎
@@Monika-f7j Hi Monika. I would like to know when youstarted thinking that it would be better to thank Charlie rather than sharing something about my IQ. Also, when in the world did you start believing that talking about my IQ was nonsense? And when in the hell did you start thinking I didn't have enought intellectual and practical skills to watch Charlie's videos? And when did start believing I should take a beginners course. Your comment is filled with so many insults, I would rather think you have no IQ at all.😀
The intervals walk you back to home and it feels good. It's sinking in Charlie, thanks.
@@Bojangles149 love this - thanks for letting me know it’s helpful! 🎸🎶🔥🎶🎸
holy moly you just opened my eyes man!!! now I understand why they're major minor or diminished

Really like the lesson but the notes on that guitar are really twangy and hard to hear clearly.
You're joking right? The notes are clear. Perhaps your hearing is the problem?
Miracle ear. 😂. There's nothing wrong with the sound of the notes. Invest in Miracle Ear. Lol
You lost me when you said I had to understand something....🙄I have a spatial IQ of 82 and a verbal IQ of 165
