@metternichart yes Ronnie did play bass with The Jeff Beck Group and when he joined the faces then he switched to the guitar and he was Rod Stewart’s Guitar player at the same time Ronnie was in the faces when Stewart made his first album in 1969 an old raincoat won’t let u down the true stones really really need Bill Wyman once Wyman left the stones lost the roll and they never never the stones once Bill left in my honest opinion the stones all should of hung it up after steel wheels u can ask Geddy Lee or any one whose a bass player no Wyman no Stones every member should of hung it up after steel wheels and Charlie has passed the stones are over now
The Stones are a loose and sloppy Band. Not sure that's a 'good thing' though. I prefer tight n punchy Bands that play their songs 'true' to the studio versions. That's why I have 33 studio albums and have seen STATUS QUO 'LIVE' 25 times. In hundreds of years time, humanity will look back in shock n awe at how superior STATUS QUO were to everyone.

Mick can play. There's a clip of him somewhere showing Ike and Tina this new song he just wrote (Brown Sugar) on the electric. And he sounds great. He could blow Bono or Robert Plant off the stage!
I keep going back to the old music and live concerts. Sorry, I just can't get into watching them live now! Power to them, being elderly and still doing it with energy! Thanks to "you tube" we can watch old classics like " Fingerprint File" top song and haunting!
Came here because of the BBC's The Serpent. Couldn't watch it properly until I found out who the artist was. Couldn't believe it was the Stones. Incredible track, incredible bass line. Got it playing on a loop. Right up there with my favourite Rolling Stone's tracks.
There's a recording of this song of around this time on Love You Live, which is one of the highlights on that album. Ronnie Wood was Jeff Beck's bassist and for a good reason. His playing on Emotional Rescue is another example of that.
Crazy that a band as big as even the stones, get completely overlooked for the most part. I guess the extensive catalog just makes it impossible for a casual to get through everything. It’s only rock n roll and black and blue are both awesome imo. I’m just glad we got everything we have from them.

Jagger has a distinct rhythm guitar style. It shines on tracks like “Sway” and “Fingerprint File.”He always provided a gritty touch when necessary. His playing on “Stop Breaking Down” is excellent, too.
I saw this tour in the Seattle Colusium. Loved this song. Vietnam war was still fresh, VHS and Betamax was about to happen, and I knew nothing of the Government.

Exceptional performance and realy fine execution from musicians, some disco/jazz/rock/funk/Stones fusion. For Jagger he is "singing in the dark, people think l'm crazy", no one else could cross USA with greats lyrics against FBI, it gets me down......

I loved the stones even when it was popular to bash the stones, late 70s early 80s, forget it. A lot of people say they like the stones but don't really know s*** about them. And it's annoying when one strikes up a conversation about the stones. Now it's like water cooler talk, and no one really gives a s***.
