I found your videos are much more clear. You explained everything very well. It was easy to understand all you where doing and why it was being done that way. I spent 20 years as an instructor for the state of florida in the us. For law enforcement. You would have made one of the best instructors. I have just subscribed to your channel. I have just got back into building models again. After 25 years. You are a grat help where I need it. Thank you for your time and knowledge. Please stay safe and happy
Beautiful ... Absolutely Beautiful !!! I have already seen almost all of your videos... but I could easily watch them over and over again. Not only your work is superb but also the way you share it on video is very professionnal. Thank you !!!
I'm excited to see more model companies tackling the more obscure armor and vehicles from history. Some really neat stuff has yet to see plastic... *fingers crossed for a proper 1/35 Bob Semple release*
Amazing work, James....your work is an absolute pleasure to watch and your commentary so full of tips. The attention to detail is great and provides us viewers with lots of ideas to improve our modelling. I will eagerly await your next project!
Thanks Benny, theres a bit of a dilemma, I want to make my weathering realistic so i look at references and try to emulate the things i see. Vehicles like this are hard to do as the reference material is overall thin on the ground, lucky Copper State provided a good few in their book.
Steampunk Fledermauswagen indeed! I really like it when some of the more unusual subjects come out in kit form as they're effectively impossible to scratchbuild. Thanks for showing us this one so well executed.
I've just manage to get hold of one of these kits. Its a stunning looking period model. I think I will portray it as a museum piece with worn looking paint but no dirt. This also gives me the opportunity to leave the engine panels off to expose the superb engine detail.
That's a cool vehicle. I really like WW1 and WW2 armoured cars. I'm waiting for the Meng RR Armoured car to arrive and will hopefully get that build on my channel at some point as well. You've done an outstanding job on this. The weathering is spot on and it has quite an attractive paint scheme. Cheers!
Very good Video. Excellent weathering the "Oldschool" way with Oils. Very unique in times of all the ready to use stuff by AK etc. I like that a lot. Keep it up 👍🙂
Thanks, I like to play with everything I have, and although I love using oils I'm not going to rule out other ready made stuff in the future, however, they dont beat the versatility of a decent oil pallet
Beautiful! I have this one in my stash and have been wondering whether to build it open or closed - I don't wonder anymore, it's definately going to be open. I must say I really enjoyed watching your video on this; the pace is perfect, easy to follow and the music to match, not disturbing at all. Inspiring.
Stunning work again, sir! I've been eyeing up this kit since the Model Shed boys have been bigging it up on their show. Such a cool subject. Inspiring as always, thank you.
Excellent job and a great kit. I love the CSM products...I put them right up there with Wingnut Wings in quality and presentation. I have this one and two of the Lanchesters to put together. Looking forward to them. Thanks for the video, and well done sir.
Was surprised to receive this kit as a Christmas gift. Thanks for showing how it all goes together. CSM have announced kits of Italian and Belgian armored cars for 2020! Hope you can do videos of those as well.
Fantastic build, another odd subject that finally gets modelled! I love these more less seen vehicles from the Great War, and you usual building and painting style has done this one justice. Thanks for sharing!
You've done a cracking job on this! I loved the CSM Lanchester and I have the Romfell to build. The mask templates are a great idea...I hadn't realised that they were in the handbook. Thanks for sharing the build...great video. 👍🏼
The Lanchester looks really nice, how did it build? The masks were a lifesaver especially with the rivet details and the grille on the front of the car. Thanks a lot !
It was really good. No fit issues...no clean up needed. Just a lovely model to build. I did an audio review of the Romfell for our Scale Model Shed Podcast project, if you're interested...scalemodelshed.libsyn.com/audio-review-4-copper-state-models-135th-romfell-panzerwagon Not sure if links work in YT comments. I've been following your builds for a while...keep 'em coming...they're great. 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks a lot ! I have been listening to the Shed and it's very entertaining and informative, I know by doing these vids how much work it takes so I appreciate the time you spend doing the casts.. and it's the first podcast I have ever listened to.
@@lpjmodels cool....thank you. Oh and sorry...we may have just pushed you into a rabbit hole! Podcasts can be quite addictive. So many of them, covering so many subjects. I don't listen to music anymore...just podcasts! 😳
I am more of a plane builder, but this model really blew my mind and tempts me to buy it... i got here because i didn't know anything about this brand's kits (Copper State Models) and they have some really nice WW1 planes, that seem to be of very high quality....
You missed an opportunity to add exhaust staining. Bigger engines of that vintage had no oil filter system and you tended to get quite a bit of oil blow by. That oil blowing out of the exhaust would leave a light black sooting along the side of a vehicle. With a pipe that close the soot pattern would be a fan like spread. Starting about a half a foot back and getting lighter and wider as it moves back
Looks amazing, a credit to youy friend! The more unusual subjects are way more interesting than another tiger or Sherman, and I'm with you on the whole 'steampunk batmobile' thing, sums it up quite nicely I think! 🤣
Many thanks Simon, although I like the more standard vehicles as well it's usually the more quirky types that catch my eye and interest . They are a lot more fun to build as well.
Mr. James, that was a verynice kit build. Your paint scheme looks great, I think you should have greased up the rear drive chains a bit with your weathering effects. Just a thought, take care!
Steampunk Batmobile or a Mad Max style vehicle. It could be really dressed up with a different paint job, spikes of the wheels and rolls of barbed wire around it. Mmmmmm ideas....
Just come to your channel after listening to your excellent interview on Triple P . Great builds and narration James. Keep them coming. Those CSM instructions are on a par with WNW instructions, aren’t they.
Superb - as is all your work; I wonder, would it have been possible to make the doors & engine doors movable - instead of glueing them in fixed positions, so they can be opened & closed at will ?
Thanks Jan, the size of the hinges might make it tricky but you might be able to make some PE ones? I remember having moving PE hatches on a tristar PZ1 a long time ago
I wish I knew more than a few words. I have learnt most of the Cyrillic characters, it may be a while before I can string together a proper sentence lol .
nicely done. I've enjoyed your armoured vehicle series - ever considered IJA armour from WW2? PS just imagine if Bruce Wayne built his Batmobile as an armoured vehicle ca. 1918
The attention to detail is just... mindboggling! What a joy to watch!
Thanks Karl, the Copper State kit was awesome highly reccomended !

Wow! And the model is... I just want it!
Thankyou , the copper state kits are really nice, highly recommended

lpj models yeah I’m sure it’ll cost me a pretty penny.
Great build, and I liked the colours chosen.
Thanks Nick
I got a lot more modeling tips from your full build videos than some other channels, lol
That's good to hear Carlos, thankyou
Very good video and a superb build. Like you I really like the shape of this vehicle and will get one.
