- We keep working on the new battery and systems room inside the Off-Grid Garage and install a water, dust and dirt seal under both roller doors. The work seems straight forward but needs a bit of effort, especially when installing the door seals in the tracks under the roller doors. I still can smell the WD-40!!!

Regular WD40 degrades rubber. They have a silicone lubricant version that's good for it.
Agreed but most of the strips like that are synthetic rubber now and the instructions say that soap or WD are good to use to get it to slide.. I just replaced my 16-foot doors bottom seal and had to remove the aluminum track and scrub and straighten those channels before I reinstalled it with new screw placements before I spent about 15 minutes inch worming the new seal on all by myself.. I did it dry so it can be done..

Regarding the floor seal, as others have said you can buy silicone lubricant for rubber, but why bother when neat washing-up liquid works perfectly and you've already got some in the house. Just brush it along those T-channels and the seal will slide in a treat. Wipe off the excess afterwards with a wet sponge. Eventually the rain will wash it harmlessly away but by then the job will be history.
And I don't like to mention it but if you re-examine the diagram for the product I think you'll see that the _smooth_ side of the ramp attached to the floor should go to the outside in order to shed rain outwards. Just my 2c.

Nice! I weather seald my battery inverter room 2 months ago I put Amp limited inverter 12k btu ac unit I think you should at least make glass room for the batteries and inverters Cooling in the summer. My ac unit consumes 6kw per day 😅.

Andy that Liquid Nails won't last for long. Should probably use a polyurethane based adhesive!
I used that stuff in 2009 to bond some timber and it is still like new. We will see, ey.
@OffGridGarageAustralia yes it works but goes hard and your are using on a high traffic area. Might last for few years aswell. I would be pulling off to do again just reference for when you fix it.. keep up the great work. Love your videos and reference you a lot when people are seeking advice!

When you have to do it again because the liquid nails has gone brittle use T-rex it sticks everything to anything.
Got some of that liquid nails for over a decade holding some timber and it still looks like day one.

We used to use a lot of that when I was a copier/printer tech.. Lubricated the bearings on stepper motors with it to make paper stackers and sorters move easier.. The paper draws moisture and the hot rollers and fans vaporize it so the dampness would get blown into the works causing corrosion.. Then there was the flood that put all sorts of stuff ankle to knee deep in water that I spent weeks tearing apart and drying.. We used a lot of WD and stainless brushes cleaning motors and CRC circuit cleaner and tooth brushes cleaning circuit boards and sensors..

I could have used a video about what Android devices and versions can load the crazy JK app.. Just figured out that the phone or pad has to have a GPS function for the app to install and run.. Spent a frustrating week trying a number of things till my son gave me an old phone that works.. Simple is not in JK's vocabulary and neither seems to be clear instructions or compatibility lists..
