Did my Dares for the week and got it on my first run T_T
Looking at the chances. Ignition code is 1 in 21 of any single drop from Dares. On that Ignition Code you look at the specific roll you want, Blinding/Slideshot/Vorpal(optional). Probabilities for those are 1 in 5, 1 in 6 and 1 in 6 respectively. If you crunch the numbers any singular drop from Dares has a 0.03% chance of being your god roll ignition code. Without vorpal bumps it up to 0.16% chance. You had 283 chances, the percentage of people that would get a god roll ignition code in 283 chances is, wait for it.... 8.14%. Roughly 1/13 people would get one doing that many runs.
The fact that you did the calculations and willingly took time to putting it into UA-cam comments for fun facts is genuinely worth the thumbs up and my attention.

Side note: I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that with armor there's a better percentage for the whole scatterhorn set (you don't have to do the math for me. I'm just hoping it's better chance than Sweat's ignition code).
Ill say it again to know what weapons are god rolls are you need to look at the barrel an the masterwork those two combined with the right perks make the weapon a god roll bc you could have just the two perks but wont be a god roll if the master work an barrel isnt right smh thought you ppl would know these things
Considering you always get 2 different options for your blinding nade perk chpice wohldnt that perk be a 1/3?

@@chadmabe7069 Not all weapons need to have perfect barrels and magazines to be god rolls. It's asinine to ask for a perfect 5/5 when the game drops them too little to care about. smh though some would have fun in a videogame

Bungie knows what they're doing with Dares, because if they really wanted to, Xur would offer the weapons in the weekly rotation on his bounty screen with the ability to focus them for treasure keys or strange change.
That would mean good and rewarding loot distribution, you can't have that go grind the same garbage over and over till you hate the game and quit it.

I'd personally love to see the return of menagerie's rune system for focusing loot drops from dares. It removes the need for the weekly rotator, and allows people to actually focus for what they want rather than play 100 runs only to get like, 11 drops

Rework Dares like seasonal war table, by focusing Umbral + Strange Coins or Treasure Keys on the specific weapon you want. It would be a godsend.
I saw your other video on trying to reobtain it and got inspired to try and get it myself. I did one run and went to the horse spending all my strange coins on the horse, got 2 ignition codes in 5 drops, the second one had Blinding/Spike, Slideshot and Demo, which is my ideal godroll. All in all, it took me 20 minutes to get my godroll. Thank you for suffering for my success sweat.
It be cool if they added either another mode or a focusing option for weapons that cost strange coins

BTW ingition code with blinding and slideshot vorpal is 1 to 22680 and only then if you got a roll which you didnt have till now ( and I didnt calculate the 5% of something you mentioned )

Sweat just farm for a militias birthright when its in rotation from nightfalls. You can get it to roll blinding nades and slideways which is basically slideshot, and once gms are out you can get the adept version.
Slideways has a 3 second cooldown on the reload, slideshow doesn’t have that

I feel what sweat is going through here. I had a similar experience with getting a subsistence frenzy funnelweb to drop. 7 MONTHS, it took me 7 months to get a subsistence frenzy funnelweb to drop for me, and I played almost every day, I'm not a casual. I remember my reaction too, I wasn't even that excited at that point, just relieved that the hunt was finally over. I could stop getting disappointed after checking every single funnelweb roll I got and it wasn't the roll. The 7 month long nightmare was over.
Wow..i got like 6 sub,frenzy funnels..the rng is assss..i had so many i only kept one with super high handling and one with high range lol.
i can agree with you, i still can't find a worth Funnelweb, my vault fills with copies that i keep collecting just for the reason that "one day I'll compare tham all and i'll stick to the god roll" but when i sit to compare them, just to make space in my vault, None is worthy... and honestly? just by the comeback of the Adaptive frames and the nerf to Lighweight? no 900 rpm is worth... Stick to 750s and most importantly, wait for guardian games, The Title Is The Best smg of this year so far for me

The one exact role of blinding,slideshot,vorpal and blast radius masterwork aswell as even getting the weapon is a 1/20700 drop chance, unless my maths is off
All these old seasonal weapons were so easy to get and focus at the time I’m surprised sweat doesn’t have one yet, he had a game he played for vids involving focusing slicer etc weapons

back in D1 I had one time laid my eyes on the scope of my favorite sniper .. all mighty black hammer .. It was me and 5 of my buddies running my favorite raid Crota. It was getting late and I got 2 Gallajorns to drop and my team never got one . We decided to call it a night as it was 5 am eastern time for me and couple and was 2 am on west coast. I was in the inventory screen and was slowly drifting off in a way . I was looking at energy weapons and I was deleting a weapon but the weapon I deleted was my all mighty black hammer ... I never got another Black Hammer playing in D1 and till this day still have yet to get one even going back in D1 ... I feel the pain and whisper of the worm is not the same but close enough I guess , All the Raids Crota is my favorite and to me the best design weapons for a specific raid / playlist or seasonal I guess , Loved that sniper looking down the scope lines lol

I only ever got two ignition codes. Because I never bought the season pass, so it was only from the free-to-play intro mission stuff.
One of them was blinding + slideshot + danger zone.
The other was blinding + slideshot + frenzy.
And I just got to sit on the side and watch you suffer with that in my inventory, knowing you would use it way more than me.

This could be turned into a gameshow type thing. "God roll or Go Home". It could be essentially "Umbral Roulette", but a bit different.
If I'm not mistaken if you reset your rank at the xur vendor there's a chance to drop an extra perk in 3rd column and another reset would give on the 4th column so maybe the chances of getting a God roll will be slightly higher

i wonder if sweat knows that militia's birthright can roll with slideways (which basically functions the same as slideshot on a gl) and one for all. Sweat can essentially just get his old roll from playing nightfalls and an even bigger bonus he could get and adept one from gms when theyre out. and he doesnt have to gamble with the dares loot pool for even one ignition code

I went through this for the old god roll of the Ikelos smg. Grinded for weeks and got a 4/5 missing one of the two main perks
Slideshot, blinding nades, danger zone. I have it and what I was using up til this season came out. Taking a break as it is be there if I come back to Destiny.

This reminds me of the Spare Rations and Mindbenders farming. Its so low of a chance to even GET them that even a shit roll gave me hope.
i luckily got one w slideshot/blinding + one for all to drop the second to last day of splicer which was probably the best thing i got from that entire season since it was/is my most used special kinetic weapon
Just took a look in my vault and I have a slidesho + blinding + vorpal Ignition Code, I dont think I have ever used it since its level 1350.

Man I feel this i did 64 runs of dares last season just trying to get the dares patterns and other than the swords the only other one i finished was the BXR
It was a you had to be there weapon I still have my leaf from gold vorpal roll with both spike and blinding. I had one with slide shot frenzy and spike but it was taking up space
man its a real good thing that im no content creator so that id never had to throw mine away i think i have the same roll he used to have and this season its so nice

I'm so happy I spent an ungodly amount of time in splicer getting a perfect one, it's never left my load out you'd have to give me a winning lotto ticket when it's over a bill to get rid of it
I had such bad luck with eager edge on a purple sword I did 500 over the course of season, then the next season they made it craftable.
i feel the pain, a few months back i tried farming a dire promise, done over 100 runs in 3 days and i never even got one opening shot rangefinder, i got a 4/5 that had osmosis :(

I just got the 5/5 perfect roll finally!!! took me 173 runs of dares split between this week and the last week it dropped, with who knows how many lightning rounds, ogres and token engrams. I did 100 of those 173 runs in a single day the last week it was around and that was a memory ill never forget lol.
