PLUG! Not a cap. I'm staring at the stuff here at home depot and the cap is actually larger than the plug. Going to do this to my LBZ today, it popped a hose somewhere, I can actually hear the boost venting while I drive
I just installed an RDS 64mm this past weekend on my lly. Did the boost leak test and it appears there a leak at the egr cooler. Just bought a full delete. Should it hold 40psi with no leaks or will it leak slowly? It wouldn’t hold any psi
I’m no expert by any means. It is to my understanding that you will get some leak down. But it should be very slow compared to an actual leak. It’s leaking past the piston rings.
Back in the day. the Techs I worked with did this to a fuel cap. Helped to bleed the lines / fuel filter
Awesome video, got what I needed for less than $6. Beats spending $150+ on a boost leak tester
Great idea thanks 👍
Can do this on the air intake tube as well with a rubber fernco and valve stem.
Thanks Kyle!

Same
can you post the home depot sku# of the plug?
You are smart dude.
🎉
How did you tighten those clamps on the hot side intercollegiate clamp. Mine is factory crimped no adjustment nut?
Do you have to plug the other end of the circuit ( the intake valve end)? Or did you make sure all intake valves are closed?
well since theres no overlap itl be leaking past the rings bc the ex valve will be closed.
Nice!
