Don't apologize for using what you have on hand because you will have viewers who may have limited supplies to play with. Just focus on being creative and your channel will grow due to your fun energy.

I love "let's see" videos - go boldly forth. Look up how to make gesso for homemade recipes. Basically white glue, H2O, baby powder a a bit of white craft paint. Have you done much w napkins?

Love this idea! Thank you! Nothing with napkins but have experimented with tissue paper…with mod podge.

Great job. You will get it all figured out and the fun part is playing, right? I started at the end of last year playing with junk journals and now and just having so much fun with all these techniques…not to mention Tim Holtz! Hope to start a channel too, but I am really intimidated at this point.

The heat activates the Mod Podge and makes it sticky.

Why don't you also try with matte medium and / or clear gesso they can be easier to work on top of

Someone else suggested gesso. I have looked it up. Can you explain it? Not quite understanding…and so I g
Do clear or white? Is it a glue? Can I use it over stencils for texture too? And it takes color or resists it if I do the white one? Thanks for the suggestion too!

@ManleyMadeMinute You could try either clear or white gesso. They just prime the paper and give it tooth. Neither of them act as a resist. If you get a thick gesso, then yes, you could put it through a stencil. And then use your inks to colour on top. You could replace the experiment that you did with mod podge and try matte medium or gel gloss instead. If you get gel instead of the fluid matte medium, you could try that through a stencil. It is white but dries clear. It is acrylic that acts as a glue and / or sealant. You can easily put other mediums over the top of matte medium, and it plays well. Mod podge can dry quite sticky and is not so good at taking other mediums over the top. You could also try modelling paste through a stencil as well. I thought that perhaps you could have a play and see how they work.
