Hi @PragmaticWorks , referring to 1:58:46, in the "reading score average difference", the tutor didn't show where she copied the data she pasted in the box, pls kindly explain where u copied the "test scores data" from
This part was mentioned as optional and not needed to continue. There was no data pasted here but instead a bit of DAX code to potentially clean up the results. You can rewind a few seconds and see the before and after but again this is not needed to continue.
A very good video. You can feel it that their word are carefully crafted, such as the constant repetition of key processes in the dialog to keep you reviewing, so perfect for this video!
UA-cam will sometimes change URLs when you right click and copy them. Try instead to highlight the text of the URL and do CTRL + C to copy it then paste into Power BI.
@@PragmaticWorkshello, I've done exactly what u said, selecting the link and then Ctrl copying but it's still showing "displaying options", text, html code, displayed text, what's the solution? or maybe the right link should be copied and pasted on my comment.
I do recommend this course because I ran into problem of outdated UA-cam videos from two to four years ago using old versions of Power BI that left me confused. They need to upgrade as well because who wants old information on old versions when you're rolling out new menu screens with the new features. The only criticism I do have is a little too much talking back and forth and the guy breaking in may look like he has to "mansplain" everything. Not sure it's needed. It sometimes disrupts the flow. I get he brings up valid questions but it prolongs an already long video.
I'm following the course with a lot of interest. However, I'm stuck in the data modeling Section, I can't see the save button after matching the primary and foreign keys (StudentID and StudentNumber). Kindly help.
I don't get it -- I'm at about 37 minutes in and that link provided in the video and in the description, both do not work... in fact, now I think I've messed up my access because it no longer brings up the "Access Web Content" window that you'd see for example at @37:15 -- what am I doing wrong here?
Try just copy and pasting the text of the link into Power BI instead of right-clicking the link. UA-cam sometimes adds their own things into links when you just right-click and copy.

Hello, thanks for this. However, I have a question regarding the Data Modeling class with Amelia. When she was creating a relationship between the two tables, she used the student number and student ID, even though the data in those columns were different. Why didn’t she create a surrogate key and merge the tables, as Mitchell did in his Data Modeling class?
Hi there! The Student Number and Student ID columns actually do store the same data so it's ok that the relationship is built on these two. Surrogate keys are a great option to consider but since this is more of a beginner class than the Data Modeling one it wasn't covered here.
@@babatundeolamideogunkoya3909 The StudentID column should not have a value higher than 1000. It sounds like you may be having an issue with the delimiter between the columns next to it. Each column has a comma separator delimitating where one column starts and stops.
