    Great video! And very helpful, I am thinking about hosting my own candle making workshop and was curious about the wax pouring. I love the idea that you just pour the wax for everyone yourself to decrease liabilities.

    New viewer here! Thank you so much for shedding some light on how to run these classes! I started by business in 2021 and have always wondered what hosting a class would look like. This was super helpful!

    Very helpful video. However, fragrance oil should be poured at 185 degrees in soy wax. If they’re not melting their own wax, it’s going to be much cooler than 185 degrees by the time everyone gets their melted wax to begin mixing their fragrance oils. Fragrance may not bind in wax properly. This is the part I need to think through.

    Thank you for sharing!! Do you have a reference you can share for using drops? It sounds like a cleaner method but I just don’t know how to measure how many drops based on the FO percentage. Thank you!

      Great question! Yes, the mini beakers that they are mixing the fragrance oils in has lines on the side and I just show them which line they need to fill to for the right percentage for the candle :) Hope that helps!

    Hi Steph! I want to start hosting candle making classes and i just started making some of my own to get a feel of how to do it and I’d love to get to know more! How many ounces are your tins for each person? What’s the ratio of wax to fragrance that you have each person use?

    • @hellobushyl
      @hellobushyl  Рік тому +1

      My tins are 6 oz each, I do 10% fragrance oil but I think you could easily drop down to 8% and still be good.

    What wax melter do u use when hosting classes?

    • @hellobushyl
      @hellobushyl  10 місяців тому +1

      Great question! I use a presto pot - I think smaller is better so that you’re not waiting super long for the wax to melt like I would be if I used my big melter.

      Amazon! I think it was this one (and they don’t take them home - I clean them and reuse them for each class): 2PCS Candle Wax Making Pitcher, Measuring Cups Stainless Steel with a Spoon, Double Boiler Wax Candle Melting Pouring Pot, Milk Frothing Pitcher Cappuccino Cup 20oz, Dripless Pouring Spout a.co/d/b8j8Xd4

    Hey Steph! Thanks so much for this info. Super helpful. How do you go about them mixing fragrances that haven’t been tested together? Do you just stick to your baseline wick size for all the candles they make? Thanks again!

    • @hellobushyl
      @hellobushyl  Рік тому +2

      Correct! I’ve done enough testing to see that the standard wick I use will burn well with whatever combo they end up using. Great question!

    Thanks so much for your video--I wanted to ask about paperwork (not seeking legal advice) but where did you get the information needed for any forms participants should complete prior to for legal purposes -was this something you researched yourself and could do on your own or any recommendations?
