- It's not everyday that you get to experience a 900 horsepower 2020 Audi R8 with a 2.9l whipple supercharger at the track! When this R8 first drove into our shop (Precision Sport Industries) it was bone stock with barely enough miles on it to break it in. With the dream of creating a track monster to bring his track day fun to the next level, we took the R8, installed the supercharger and had him out on the track all within the same week! This customer (being new to the track world) decided to have us accompany him as apart of our track side assistance package where we were able to both take care of his car and help him lower his lap times throughout the day.

A stock v10 r8 is my dream but this with the exhaust and 900hp? Haha cant imagine how nice this is

Great build. Tell the driver to put hands at 9 and 3... a very fundamental piece of performance or street driving practice for car control.

@@_Ambition124 Is that a joke? If not, 12 and 6 will only let you emergency steer in one direction. I have been to 3 performance track driving schools over the years and every single instructor is at 9 and 3
19" instead of 20" wheels is perfect. A RWD R8 with suspension, CCMB, wheels, and either this or a UGR kit would make the perfect under radar ultra comfortable reliable hyper car slaying super car.

Seems like a phenomenal upgrade... One thing I did note was at full throttle on the back straight, it was not really closing the ground to that GT4. Short of that being a Deman 4.5L car that shouldn't be a car it cant close the gap to rapidly.

Can you guys make a video on the comparison of this Whipple vs the magnson the Vf engineering uses , pros and cons of each or why the whipple is better? I’m looking and can’t find much info on the ess supercharger kit for the r8 & hurucan.

What are weak points when boosting an R8? Example; pulleys, belts, any lines, cooling, internals, etc. Are the pulleys cast aluminum like the Aventador? Those tend to shatter and make a messy job

The real question is what the hell was in that cayman!??
He said it went into limp mode.. that could be the reason the Cayman looked quick. Alternatively Cayman could have had a Turbo upgrade.
ESS doesnt say any where on their website stage 2. What does that have over their base kit?

What r u running for fuel is it 900hp on pump 91 or 93 ? Or is it e85, ethanol Blend of some kind?

Right ! And then hit limb mode 🤦🏻♂️ I’d rather take my r8 to sheepyrace..shoot I already seen a couple of UA-cam videos and nobody does engine out for a supercharger, not even for a twin turbo kit..
Whatever in front of the r8 is a monster you gained 0 ground on it
