The cupra keeping up is insane😮 not just in the corners (R8 had bald tires) but it didn't fall that far behind in the straights

V10 r8 is a thing of beauty. Sadly the tyres were not up to spec, but that is going to change. Than it will be a very nice machine.

It has APR emblem on the rear. Probably has an APR stage 3 hybrid turbo kit (same engine as golf gti) on it and suspension mods, rear sway bar with semi slick tires. Those cupras with hybrid turbo can easily do mid 6 seconds 100-200kph which is similar to audi r8 v10.

You know, when you hear comments like the cars never been pushed this hard. It alwsys surprises me how so many people who own sports cars this powerful or even a lot less never learn to push them. It blows my mind when folks with cash have so much opportunity

Not sure if I agree with this. Do you think your typical owner can push a 600 hp car on the Nurburgring without 100s of laps of practice on that track? I don't think so, unless some serious talent. 😅
@@big-R that's definitely a valid point but you don't need to be at the ring to push a car that hard. The vast majority of people would be pushing a car harder at a different track, airfield etc. Harder compared to themselves that is. I agree with you but it still surprises me
@@Itsallfun3000Not sure if you have ever driven here but it's is a lot more difficult to take the car to its limit at the ring than a typical track. Anyway, I am sure we are both correct, some don't push their cars hard anywhere, and some are just surprised how fast you can go on the ring.
@@big-R I have a couple of times and I definitely cannot push very much at all. I've no shame in saying I would look a bit of a snail there but hopefully my point came across cool!

beautiful car and great driving as always.....It's just not the same emotion or excitement as when your driving a little k swapped civic hatch lol. I do believe if money wasn't an option, I would still fully build a K swapped hatch for the track. Mainly because of the pure emotion and excitement I see when your driving.

Awesome video! Have you done any laps in a Gallardo LP 550/560/570? I couldn't find anything when I searched. I'm considering one for the future, but it needs to work at the ring! I would love to see how it does, especially after seeing the disaster that the Huracan STO was. That got me a little worried that Lambos perhaps are not suited for the ring at all, even though the R8 and Gallardo are quite similar!?
Please do an r8 V8 gated manual! Would love to hear your comparisons with the other variants

Quick question though?… how are you getting the cars telemetry up onto the screen? Always wondered but only now am I plucking the courage too ask 😂 it really makes the video feel more involving!
Those telemetry are on the R8 dash. He had a camera point at the whole thing, crop it out and make it slightly transparent.
The R8 has rpm center, power torque on right side and temp on lower left. Definitely one of my fav dash out there, a long side track day Ferrari, Lamborghini and LFA.
I'm not sure about the G meter, this seems newer than the one I was on. Could be on the car could be his own addition

120 Oil seems hot to me.
It already has an oil cooler, stock 120 isnt bad at all, considerung the cooling loop only opens at 105.
