Just watching this back and I only just realised. When the last fist with the hammer has his arm up in front of his face, that's probably a good defence against bolter rounds as the weak points are the eye lens, the gorget and the joints in the armour, none of which are exposed to the oncoming fire. The tradeoff to this is that in covering his eyes, it probably helps the dreadnought attack catch him off guard.
fun fact. bolters do exist in real life. well one of them. they created rocket propelled bullets but it was too expensive to be used and dangerous so its prototype was all that was made
Not close to the same unfortunately - the Gyrojet rifle suffered greatly in accuracy because of low muzzle velocity that caused shot to veer wildly off course A bolter is a bullet as a kicker charge to accelerate the round before a rocket sustainer motor kicks in Gyrojet rounds where also solid AP where as Bolter rounds are like 20mm cannon shells and are explosive

@@davidlivingston9169 It's the Imperium. "Standard-issue" as we see it today does not exist across the entire galaxy. I hadn't looked much into Warhammer40k until I stumled upon your channel, and an absolute THANK YOU for getting me into 40k. Most other sci-fi has always seemed rather bland, and "Star Wars" or "Star Trek" and whatnot have never seemed like something I'd take interest in. 40k however, is just what I need; the GrimDark is perfect, the lore of the universe is as interesting as it is exciting to learn about, and once more I am so glad I stumbled upon this channel. (With that being said, I don't mean to put down other sci-fi. My own personal tastes just seem to favour 40k over the rest, as I find them incomparable. They're all good works of sci-fi in their own right and I am merely expressing my opinion rather than declare one thing is "good" and another is "bad" and whatnot. My apologies if I caused any confusion, or made it sound like that in any way.)
The fact that you're giving SODAZ his proper respect in a world where so many noobs consider Astartes the best and only, just raised my respect for your opinion way high. SODAZ is his entirely own category!
Odds are, the marines are voxing eachother through their helms. Also, in Astartes, Those militia are corrupted by an alien species, can't quite remember which but they weren't Enslavers, thats a certainty.
I would also like to mention that, yes these guard/PDF had auto-guns. But they would have a better chance if they had loaded up decent ammo in the form of man-stopper rounds. Could actually penatrate marine armor. Another thing they could have done was aimed for the joints cause it's softer armor but... these are humies after all
Most of the time yes... then again, bodies, bodies and more bodies... if ten guardsmen piled onto one marine, at the same time mind you. He wouldn't win. Ten guardsmen shooting at one marine might drop him with a couple of lucky shots... remember, as captain Diomades said, "our armor is strong but not infallible"
Personally, I think Sodaz is better than Astartes; there's way more action. Maybe he hasn't got the money to render the artwork as smooth as Astartes but I'm totally satisfied with Sodaz's productions. I think Sodaz, Astartes, Gabriel Christtiane, the 'death of Hope' guys, and others, should totally remake the Ultramarine movie
It needs more smoke and lighting. The textures are actually really good, but the lighting looks like it was made in SFM, and the lack of smoke makes the environment seem too clean.
