She's wonderful! Thank you Charlotte, I learned so much. I agree about the dishes. I have a friend whose house flooded, and he temporarily (2 years!) while things were rebuilt, only used a bowl and a spoon and a coffee cup and a rice cooker , and he realized that's all he needed!
Heh. Yeah I moved once and it was taking me a while to unpack all my kitchen stuff and I found myself just cooking all my meals in 1 casserole pot on stove top. And worked out that's all I really need. Unless I'm cooking something fancy that's still all I use. I figure it's good practice cos this is my retirement plan
I’m also a female in a truck camper and absolutely love it! Charlotte is awesome and I would love to see how she rigged up her motion detector lights! Neat lady!
Also a full-time, senior, female, solo nomad in a truck camper. Love, love, love it. Mine is an older Lance with a dry bath. The older models have much more storage than the new ones. My fridge is huge with a separate freezer. Runs on electric, propane, or battery. Bought it for my late husband and I to travel in so it's pretty spacious for just me, my pup, and senior cat. I sacrificed a clothes closet for a custom made small wood stove. Best change ever!!! Got rid of the microwave -- never used it. Generator was too heavy and loud so it's gone too. I'm adding solar motion lights but sounds like this lady has something a bit more sophisticated. Would love to know more. I can easily climb onto my roof from inside to see what people are doing around my campsite if necessary. I can also climb through a camper window directly into the back seat of my truck if it becomes necessary to drive away. Did have an incident where two guys where on my back ladder. Scared them off in a hot second and then had the ladder removed. I urge everyone to be prepared and don't advertise your choices of protection. I'm 72 and people always ask if I'm a vet. Sometimes the way you look at people and carry yourself is enough to keep trouble at bay.
I have solar motion detection lights but they also hold a back up battery for less sunny days or weeks of charging. I can't remember the name exactly but its something like Halo. I live far out of city. I like to no ( for my safety also my pets ) if a 4 legged or 2 legged animal is lurking 😂.

Awesome! I love her positive attitude too. Through the years I’ve learned to go less and less. I had a 1,200 square feet condo by the beach, moved to the mountains to a 960 sqr, got a place to retire in Baja that’s a 30’ trailer exclusively on solar which was my big realization I don’t need much indoor space. Now I’m selling my house in California, getting a van and going camping for straight 4 months coming back to my trailer the rest of the year. I’m realizing the open space is my thing when I see how super friendly and down to earth these people are I want to be part of nomadic society. Who knows maybe I’ll do the Van life much longer since my place in Baja is off the grid it costs me nearly nothing when I’m not there and I’m retired. I would like to add an FYI for all you nomads who don’t know how they’re going to make money on the road… I can assure you, choose a city you’d like to stop and walk into the busiest restaurant ask them if they would like a dishwasher for at least two weeks, 90% of the time they’re going to say yes, and if they say no you move onto the next restaurant somebody will say yes. You work two weeks you have enough money to last you for months, really there’s all kinds of odds and end jobs you can do. Car washes are also GREAT to get temp work.
This is one strong and self-reliant woman! Her set up is perfect. I am looking to get into a pop up camper soon. My wife and I are rock climbers and the low profile and lower center of gravity make this ideal for getting up into the mountains.
Right on! I like your style. 45 years for me. I love my truck campers, always been hard side. Lived in everything but popup. Thanks for the water pump idea. Have fun on the road. Hope our trails cross. Thanks for the interview Bob.
As a woman, I would not choose the truck camper because it doesn’t give you an escape option if someone was outside messing with you. I need to be able to jump into the driver seat and leave. Truck campers don’t have that option and you’re pretty much stuck in your camper.
What an amazing woman. I love these interviews. You know the most interesting ppl Bob. I guess you never thought you would end up being such a guru but I find you much more authentic than any of the Russell Brand, Jordan Peterson types. You are doing good work here Bob, you are a good man.
Wow!! Bob. Thankyou and Thankyou to Charlotte. This Lady has it totally together with wonderful advice. You could not have given your viewers a more valuable gift, Thankyou.
I love that you addressed security. I’m a single woman who lives alone and also worked in corrections. I have several dogs and other measures to help me feel safe. If I stayed in a camper I would definitely have my dogs with me. I have 3 Pit Bull mixes and my “motion detector” Pip a small dog who is a GREAT watch dog.
I agree with you 100% on the security while out camping by yourself...... My dad and brothers were military and law enforcement so they make absolutely sure I am secure when I venture out on my own..... I too am a loner and love being on my own...... No tents for me cause the crazies are everywhere ..... Love your camper
Charlotte, I'm in my third year full timing and I think you bring what some people might describe s a suburban attitude out into the wilds. Polite, inquisitive and not afraid to explore. Happy camping!
I never considered a truck camper after seeing the cramped quarters inside my friend's 1990-ish rig. Wow, have they ever changed! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I love everything about Charlotte's. She has created a cozy, beautiful home, not only physically but spiritually and mentally, as well. I'm a true believer in if it feeds your soul, do it; Charlotte is a fine example of that.
As a neophyte nomad, my hat is OFF to this young lady. Much respect due. Anyone that's lived nomadically for that long has such a wealth of experience at it that you can't help but be drawn to them. Really, really nice rig. She may have me sold on a truck w/pop-up too. 😀
I loved my palomino pop up camper but the one thing they are not is a big thing for full timers.. they really are only 3 season campers. Love my hard side for 4 seasons.
I admire all this ladys to take the risk to start over, i as a younger woman don't think i have the courage to do it. Also i see a lot of true in her comment that when you live in a normal home you tend to stay still and maybe isolate, this proves how important are the social connections for mental health. Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴.
What a great setup. We have a Palomino Pop Up too and we love it. You don't need a lot in life. It is more about the memories that we create. We really enjoyed this video. Mary💕Fred
My sister married a doctor/hospital administrator. They lived in a 10,000 square foot McMansion. The water bill alone for their little landscape sprinkler system was $700.00 a month. Their heat and a/c was more than my annual income. The carbon footprint was huge but they never gave that any thought. My house is small and comfortable. I am building a schoolie conversion now. So much fun.
Charlett is one smart cookie. She is a real expert on camping in many different vehicles. So happy and healthy in the open air. She sure doesn't carry anything that she doesn't need. Thanks Bob for this interview and tour.
I have a 32 ft. Aerbus (no slide outs) and I have great admiration for this lady. I think I could live in a 24 ft. motorhome but doubt that I could manage to live in a truck camper. She's a more hardy soul than I am. God bless her for many happy years of RVing.
Thanks Bob for this interview and tour of Charlotte’s set up and her expertise. Her background and knowledge base is inspiring. Love the go sun cooker. Please see if there’s more information about her security set up, if she’s willing to share that. Maybe a follow up video??😊 This is one of your best! ❤
What a great attitude and spirit Charlotte has, and a very nice setup. With her RV ownership experience, she could answer questions and offer consults regarding different products.
Wouldn’t we all want to have the ingenuity and freedom that is available to all of us? She’s made choices that mean so much to her and we feel the inspiration and admire the choice of freedom she has taken. It is an inward choice we all have everyday whether the living conditions are a camper or a motel or a house in a rundown subdivision. Choose. freedom. - not just survival. This was so inspirational to all of us❤
Love the rig it looks like it would fit everything I need to make a little home on wheels. I wish you could have shown the truck. I’m not good at guessing what size it is but I have an idea that it’s on the larger size. Security is critical for everyone. Safe travels 👍

Bravo and thanks Charlotte keep living and loving and spreading kindness.
Bless her for doing this lifestyle for so long!
Very nice and informative! Thank you
This was such an enjoyable interview. Charlotte just has an amazing spirit about her. I rarely comment on these videos, but I am so impressed by her!
That woman is an ACE!
Respect!
A well grounded independent woman!
I camp too often in bear territory. It's hard-shell for me.
I love hearing her story! Thanks! 💚
You're my new hero Charlotte!
"I love hiking in the desert and just spend quality time by myself." Love her perspective ❤
A Great interview. A very nice lady.
Awesome Video of an Awesome Lady, Brother Bob!!!
Right on! I like your style. 45 years for me. I love my truck campers, always been hard side. Lived in everything but popup. Thanks for the water pump idea. Have fun on the road. Hope our trails cross. Thanks for the interview Bob.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful home Charlotte!! You go girl!!
That bathroom is so awesome! Holy crap what a roomy little spot. Has to be one of my favorite setups
What a beautiful camper! And I love her joy and enthusiasm for the nomad life! I really enjoyed this interview!!
Cheers
Beutifull
Brave and happy woman
She is amazing! I love her knowledge and her love of being a nomad. I’m a loner and I can relate so much with her. Thank you for being so special.
Wow 38 years rv living, nice and beautiful plus a big inspiration. 😊 Thank you
Wow!! Bob. Thankyou and Thankyou to Charlotte. This Lady has it totally together with wonderful advice. You could not have given your viewers a more valuable gift, Thankyou.
Love her set up, and her energy
I love that you addressed security. I’m a single woman who lives alone and also worked in corrections. I have several dogs and other measures to help me feel safe. If I stayed in a camper I would definitely have my dogs with me. I have 3 Pit Bull mixes and my “motion detector” Pip a small dog who is a GREAT watch dog.
Charlotte is a wonderful soul..
Thanks for sharing your home with us. It’s a great setup. Thanks Bob!
She’s a hoot!
I agree with you 100% on the security while out camping by yourself......
My dad and brothers were military and law enforcement so they make absolutely sure I am secure when I venture out on my own.....
I too am a loner and love being on my own......
No tents for me cause the crazies are everywhere .....
Love your camper
Beautiful lady inside and out! Thanks again Bob for this great interview. So inspiring!
Love her joy and confidence!
Rad lady! She has more storage than most tiny homes. Unusual bathroom inside but doable.
Charlotte, I'm in my third year full timing and I think you bring what some people might describe s a suburban attitude out into the wilds. Polite, inquisitive and not afraid to explore. Happy camping!
What a delightful interview with a gem of a woman.
Yes, thank you Charlotte for your story!! We loved it😁😁!! Ron M.
I wish she had her own channel!!
Totally agree with harsh chemicals in our cleaning supplies. She's an inspiration!
Awesome! You go girl. Love your enthusiasm for life!!!
New subscriber, thank you for the show. I'm looking to learning more from you show
It's referred to as his channel, I believe . 🚔🌝
As a neophyte nomad, my hat is OFF to this young lady. Much respect due. Anyone that's lived nomadically for that long has such a wealth of experience at it that you can't help but be drawn to them. Really, really nice rig. She may have me sold on a truck w/pop-up too. 😀
Me tooo
Excellent video Bob , interesting information, good motivation for us , thanks
Charlotte is my new hero! I love her attitude of being proactive rather than reactive!
Maybe a follow up video??😊
This is one of your best!
❤
That is one extraordinary woman. She knows how to live well… for her!
This was so inspirational to all of us❤
Thank for sharing, her set up looks amazing, a great consideration for a tall person too.
Love the rig it looks like it would fit everything I need to make a little home on wheels. I wish you could have shown the truck. I’m not good at guessing what size it is but I have an idea that it’s on the larger size. Security is critical for everyone. Safe travels 👍
What a woman! 100% American
Bob ! Do you remember the TV series in the 70s where a doctor lived in his RV in the hospital carpark. "Trapper John MD. Watching from Dublin Ireland. 🍀🍀😺😺🇮🇪🇮🇪💚💚🍀🍀
Glad she mentioned security and motion sensors. "When Seconds Count, the Police are Only Hours Away." You are your own first responder. Be prepared!
What a lovely, lovely Lady. So happy for her. She’s figured it out for sure.
I love it! Truck campers seem like a great choice.
@16:00 her life experience: probation officer, child abuse investigator. wow. On top of being a backcountry horsewoman and 38 year veteran nomad. She should write a book!
