Well, this rips your heart out...
Not gonna lie, I'm proud of this tone I got, even though I use EMG pickups and play at my bedroom (volume is insanely low...), I got the closest tone ever probably. I needed to use some eq magic but all is well.

Very underrated Gilmour solo
In addition to being hugely underrated, this guitar solo from the song "In Any Tongue" is also gorgeous !!!!!!!!

Dude, you nailed this tone. The Pompeii 2016 tone has this very gnarly bite that is so unlike his other eras. I haven’t heard anyone capture it correctly until now. Amazing job! I gotta go check out the tone guide for this
So good to watch at 50% slowed down and seeing all the intricacies in bends and vibrato.

That tone is spot on! Thankfully now a days we have so many resources around to get the right sound, and still cant manage to nail it perfectly. This is as close as it gets. Well done!

Great playing! You got more of a sharpness to your tone than I did on my cover for this solo - I just couldn't quite get the settings right on my amp! If you have a moment I would appreciate what you think of my cover as the Gilmour guy on youtube!

Since you are as fascinated by Gilmour as I am. One small tip. At 0:21, ending of the phrase, he actually does not bend from 10th to 11th fret. He slides from 10 to 11 and back to 10 very quickly. I noticed this in the video of the concert. Try it out of u want ;-).
I think the best version for this solo is the bootleg from Live in LA 3rd night (out on the internet somewhere) . So musically.
I play that version and mix in the part from Pompeii in this video from 1:27 - 1:42, to make it even better.

I wish they were giving me proper credit but people like your good self knowing who is the creator is enough for me. Besides, I take from documentaries and interviews as well, I add subtitle and adjust the frame, not gonna lie that takes quite a lot of time too though :)
