An honest showing, NICE refreshing to see a lineup of reasonably comparable trucks, hear what is different between them, then see each one do the same lines,
How do you only have 3.3k views after 2 months? UA-cam won't show me "old Toyotas off-road" but finally showed me your channel and is bumping these videos for me.
This is great! The first 4wd I owned was a Mitzi fg639. I used to crawl up rocky hills with 4 ton in the back using the choke as a throttle. Very relaxing.
I remember stock gears...ahh the memories... jumping rocks...hard on you and the rig...gotta go 4.7 t case gears...hope to see Dirt Garage on the rubicon some day. You make great vids.
@@DirtGarage Can you have duel case on a full time 4x4 toyota? Mine has nosier low range, would be good to add ahi low range and piggy back to existing transferase with Visouse system
Like all the trucks in the line up and it is interesting to see how all the trucks with different mods manage the trail. There is something in between stock transfer case and dual case . 13 years ago I put 4.1 trail tamer gears in my t-case and that truck climbs awesome . No grinding to the housing was required cost was $431 in parts checked Advanced Adaptors but they only have the 4.7:1 which requires a $216 housing . Keep up the good work whish I could go wheeling with you guys
Thank you! I thought it was pretty interesting to see the difference in all the rigs too. I'm super happy with the double 2.28 gears, and I will most likely end up putting the 4.7 in my rear case, even lower is better for deep snow and I'm excited! I actually don't know anyone who has a 4.1 in their case? Must not be popular anymore?
I'm pretty excited. I bought Martin's "Dual Ultimate Crawler" gear package.(2.28 and 4.70) Hope to have them installed before EJS. Little nervous... been like the mid 80's since I tore into a yota tranny. 😬My buddies are all jeep guys, so I go up and crash the jeep party. 👍 Good video. Inspires me to tear into the project.
cool video, I hear some people say that its good enough to just do single 4.7 Tcase and use all the 5 speeds on the transmission to get that original 4lo stock feel and faster speeds when needed. do you agree?
do they hate how slow it goes or do they hate how easy it makes everything look. Hey Sam, the big problem being camera man on trips like these is everyone wants to drive at the camera.. LOL good shoot nice trail might be a bit rough for my stock rig though.
Both, hate how slow it is because they need to stop and let me go ahead, and then get further frustrated as I make obstacles look like speed bumps... Also this is a 35" + tire and rear locker atleast trail, otherwise your gonna hurt some stuff.
I have an 89 with chain drive transfer case. 5 speed stock tranny 3.0. Can I use that same adapter plate you did to go to the gear driven transfer case? I want duel transfer case to!!!
Your great at convincing us all we need dual ttansfer cases! Looks dreamy bouncing so lightly. I may have missed it in this video but what engine does your friend with the red truck have? Sounds a litttle whistly. And with the 2 stacks pn the back seems dieselly. Your truck kills it inspiration right there.
The dual cases sell themselves honestly 😅 I did not realize how much I wanted them until I seen them in action. Skylers Red Pickup is powered by a 2-LT diesel Toyota motor.
as far as them hating on you for goin slow ??? thats what CRAWLING is all about let em go around you will catch up to them after they breakdown because they are running to FAST!!!!! HA HA HA
An honest showing, NICE

Damn, I can smell your buddies clutch through the video! 😆

Looks like an awesome trail. My Jeep's buddies hate how slow my double low is but I love it
It is a fun trail, to bad it doesn't last long, its maybe 1km total. And that is funny!
They don’t hate it, they’re simply jealous of it.

Dual cases are the way to go!
Hell yeah!

Sweet I am working on a 1980 Toyota that I am building into a crawler
That is awesome! Great platform to build from.

Good video. Inspires me to tear into the project.
Awesome! See you at Easter Jeep 👍
That trail looks like a blast, may have to join all you yotas one day to see how the jeep holds up, keep up the awesome boys
For sure!!
Great video bro. Man that thing crawls!!!
Thanks 👍 I'm stoked.
That double transfer sure seems to calm down your rig. It doesn't seem to bounce around as much
Exactly, just idles up everything giving maximum control. I love it!
Dual-cases seem like cheating sometimes. Those 4.7 gears are crazy and the front lockers help some too. It looks like a fun little trail.
Definitely want to to this to my truck now.
Your videos are so awesome
Glad you like them!
Dual T cases or a T case with a 6.1 sure take the strain off drive train components. Even easier on the clutch in manuals.
Wow dual cases are awesome.
Right? I love them already!
Going fast through rocks only results in one thing, broken parts. Low and Slow is the way
What engine is in the red diesel pickup? sounds pretty good!
cool video, I hear some people say that its good enough to just do single 4.7 Tcase and use all the 5 speeds on the transmission to get that original 4lo stock feel and faster speeds when needed. do you agree?
If you still have to use the clutch on obstacles then you don't have enough reduction.
No kidding. It's so nice!
Can a t100 be dual transfer cases?? I have an 86 but interested in getting a larger truck and sas?

Think LT ifs will make it on that trail?
Great video! Thanks 👍🏻
Glad you liked it!

Absolutely you can! My trans is the stock 3.0 transmission, as long as you get the v6 r150 to gear drive case adapter you can bolt up doubles.
I love your videos but i wish youd turn the music down a little sometimes so we can hear the trucks better.
Noted!
How is the 1 peice driveshaft at highway speeds ? i wanna get rid of steady bearing so bad
1 peice is no problem whatsoever on highway. I drove this thing to Moab and back last year. 3000kms, I love the 1 piece.
I love this! New sub!!
Thanks for subbing!
nice trail
What brand tire are you guys running,,anyone run the km3
Awesome
Thank you!

Skylers Red Pickup is powered by a 2-LT diesel Toyota motor.
What gears do you have in the transfer cases
Stock 2.28 in both. Eventually a 4.7 will be in the rear.
And the truck with the stacks,,,what motor does he have
It was a 2L-TE in this video.
i think coil springs best for climbing
Probably, but leafs are cheap.
Sliders Clinton... sliders. 🤣🤣🤣
I know, I know 😂
Dirt Garage your buddy’s reaction when you came down off that rock meant it was close!
Love the dtc makes u nice and controlled... fiesel needs dtc
You runnin open front or ,,,,,,
E-Locker in front.
@@DirtGarage wander if a spool would work and just lock one side until the other side is needed,,wander if it would hold up
as far as them hating on you for goin slow ??? thats what CRAWLING is all about let em go around you will catch up to them after they breakdown because they are running to FAST!!!!! HA HA HA
Haha they are not actually hating. All good fun!
gotta admit i didnt get the benefit of dual case till i saw this video
man it kills me to watch your buddys smash into the rocks locking diffs??? better throttle control?? not just MASH ON IT
It's hard to go slow without low gears in the T-Case. That being said Boy Boy and Cory like party mode 😂
