  • If you have an intermittent extended crank or hard start on a Chrysler 300 this is the problem.why is your Chrysler 300 giving you a hard time starting? Most likely it's because of the cam sensor and crankshaft sensor. In this video I will show you why they caused this problem and how to replace them.

    Great video! This is exactly what I was looking for in terms of a visual on the location for camshaft and crankshaft sensors. Do you have a video of what it sounded like before this fix? That would be super helpful! And as far as pricing goes, you are 100% right on that. Prices at my local autoparts stores are about $150 for one of the sensors and about $250 for the other. Crazy....

      Before I replaced the sensors the engine would still start but it would crank over for about 30 seconds before starting.

    Thanks for the video. I am positive this is the problem with 300.
    I've been putting up with this starting issue for way too long, and haven't found any
    solutions until now. I'll definitely give this a try.

    My 05’ 300c recently started doing the same thing but it’s only happened a few times so far. I hope by replacing both sensors it fixes the problem. Can it also be a leak in the fuel system? Before I bought my car it had been sitting for a few years without it being driven. I’ve already had to get the head gasket and oil pressure sensors replaced. It’s recently had a tune up and battery changed

    • @thelimogarage9665
      @thelimogarage9665  3 роки тому

      You may have a problem that is called bleed back. What that means is that your fuel pressure bleeds back down into the system when the vehicle is shut off. Then it takes time for the pump to prime the injectors on startup. The best way to test this is to put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail and see if it holds pressure after you shut the vehicle off.

I took my car to the dealership for an alternator and another warranty issue. I’ve had code scans and all that pops up is cam, crank sensors, knock sensor, O2 sensor and ECM malfunction, Throttle body failure... is there anyway you could help? 😂 I just can't seem to find my car is having. It starts up fine when you first start the engine like everything's okay. But after the car's been running for a hour or so, it won't start. The starter would drag like the battery is dead, but after the car cools off for about an hour or so, it will start just fine again. Can anyone help me with this damn problem!? It has a brand new battery and I got the starter replace at the beginning of the year, and a voltage meter reads that the alternator is good although it fluctuates up and down sometime

      Pull up the carpet on the front passenger side floor. Just under the glove box. There is a terminal There where the battery cable connects from the trunk to the other side of the firewall for the starter. This connection is known to get loose and corroded. I hope this helps.
