@@scotttuckerphotography agreed. Definitely my favorite winter hiking I’ve ever done. Been wanting to go back to do Chasm Lake but lots of warnings online about avalanche risk in winter
Great work Chase! That X2D is beautiful, but when I was looking for MF I ended up going with the 50s II at 25% of the cost. I did the same analysis on focal lengths used and realized that the 20-35 and 45-100 would cover 80% of my most used FLs. I’ll probably never get rid of my 5dsr though because of the ability to go from 11-600mm. That first image of dream lake is a stunner! Great inspiration to get up there
Yeah there are definitely more cost effective ways to get into MF. I have a friend with your same camera and he’s getting awesome results. Hard to go wrong with the upgrade in sensor size!
I got the Really Right Stuff one. More pricey than I’d like but it fits perfectly and allows good access to the battery. I worry the universal ones would give you issues with access.
Congrats on your choice of the Hasselblad X2D, wonderful images from the X2D.The X2D will be my next camera.
Beautiful images, Hasselblad colours are exceptional
The back to real life part is always tough. Great shots and tones from the X2D.
This is incredible...we did this same loop this summer, Winter in Estes/RMNP is unlike anything else in the US.

Great job and great photo!
Great video and conditions in the mountain 👍❄️
Amazing video!
Great images. That extra work and exertion paid off.
Thanks for making this video, Chase. Keep it up, mate.

Sold my X2D a month ago and bought Leica SL3 - Hope it is not a mistake, lol
@@lighthunteralp never shot with Leica but I’ve heard great things
Excellent
What is the L bracket you set up on your x2d ?

Poor answer to the question, sadly
No bears and wolves at 1:33 ?
Aren't there any bears there? How can you protect yourself if you encounter a bear?
Black bears. Not very common though and generally not a threat. I only worry about bears in grizzly country.
