    Great work Chase! That X2D is beautiful, but when I was looking for MF I ended up going with the 50s II at 25% of the cost. I did the same analysis on focal lengths used and realized that the 20-35 and 45-100 would cover 80% of my most used FLs. I’ll probably never get rid of my 5dsr though because of the ability to go from 11-600mm. That first image of dream lake is a stunner! Great inspiration to get up there

    • @cbphoto87
      @cbphoto87 7 місяців тому

      Yeah there are definitely more cost effective ways to get into MF. I have a friend with your same camera and he’s getting awesome results. Hard to go wrong with the upgrade in sensor size!

    How far into notch peak can you actually drive until you have to start hiking?

    • @cbphoto87
      @cbphoto87 2 роки тому

      It ends up being an 8 mile round trip hike if you drive all the way to the trailhead. You’ll want something high clearance to get there since there are some sections that might be tough for a sedan. There is an alternate route where you can drive up to the base of Pine Peak to the north where you start at a higher elevation but that requires more heavy duty off roading and off-trail hiking along the cliffs to the north of Notch that I’m not sure I’d recommend

    • @cal8016
      @cal8016 2 роки тому

      @@cbphoto87 thanks for the response brother. I ask because I’m a drone pilot but not much of a hiker lol and was wondering if there are roads that I can get as high as I can for signal and range purposes.

    • @cbphoto87
      @cbphoto87 2 роки тому

      @@cal8016 you might want to look into the road to Pine Peak if you have a vehicle that can manage it. I’ve never been that way but I’ve seen a couple UA-cam vids of people who did.
