    I got to the end of the video and I’m already subscribed, so instead I adopted a dog. I just felt so compelled.

    I’ve planning on doing the same thing to my board (only with a MC6). Thanks WT team for putting this out! Very insightful.

      MC6 is great too, you will like it. It is what I use to run my board similar to this and also when I use my Fractal, the MC6 is used for extra sections and to move presets up/down, and a the tuner.

    As someone that is fairly proficient with the playing aspect of guitar, I find myself woefully ignorant when it comes to the technology side. I have a pedal board with all the usual suspects, and it is great. MIDI and all the modeling IR, stuff is a bit overwhelming. Then again, I haven't devoted much time to learning it either😀 I did good to upload Miraculum patches to a friend's Helix I used for our Christmas program!

    I have been using a MC6 and an ML5 with on my board for all my midi devices for about a year now, and it had been nothing but a breeze to play every week. It has allowed me to focus more on my playing and less on trying to change settings and pedals during songs

    I like using MIDI for church. I don’t do any type of “snapshot” but basically just for patch changes/bpm’s/on-off with the Strymon pedals. It’s more convenient than tap dancing but does require some level of preprogramming.

    awesome! was actually thinking about getting a MC6, i love the design of the pedal, as well as the design of the software. super efficient! thank you for the video fortify my decision that a morningstar is the best for me!

    This is so interesting! I just got an MC8, and I have the ML5 on the way so I’m trying to get a head start on the programming before I set everything up. When is it better to use the CC messages for the ML5 rather than just set up the program change for each loop?

    Thanks for great content, I was aware how MIDI commands work, but never saw how to configure it practically. Honestly, not gonna lie, snapshots in Pod Go / Helix look trivial in comparison to the complexity of this MIDI setup :P but yeah, if you want to use traditional board, that's the best way to do it.

    Can you guys do a similar video using HX Stomp, GFI Specular T and pedal board. I’d like to see how well the Stomp will do the MIDI thing while trying to be versatile as possible with od pedals and what not. Hope that makes sense. Thanks!

    The ML5 would make it much easier for sure. I run the MC6 and tap dance my drives, Julia chorus and POG sound. It is manageable but I am used to one press on the Fractal...

    @worshiptutorials I just had a quick question. In helix, you can do multiple delays at the same time. But I'm guessing with this pedalboard, you can do one delay or use dual delay at once right?? Because I'm trying to purchase big sky as a reverb and timeline or dd-500.

    Using a Boss ES-8 and love it. Nice Expo Brian! How does the standalone Blackhole compare to the H9 algo? (I have MAX).

    Can an FM9 send clock and midi commands to a select few pedal I really enjoy? If so, how would you go about it? I am saving towards an FM9.

    Can the MorningStar just turn pedals on and off if you’re not concerned with presets what parameter would you look for?

  • @soundofseventythree
    @soundofseventythree 5 місяців тому

    I have a question. Do your delay and reverb trails get cut off when switching between presets? Thank you for such a great video!

    • @worshiptutorials
      @worshiptutorials  5 місяців тому

      That depends on the delay and reverb pedals you are using. The MC8 won’t affect that.

    Hi Brian. Thanks for this. I would love to put a second board with analog pedals and have been thinking about midi. I get how midi enabled pedals work with midi but I’m a bit confused how you get non midi pedals to work with a midi switcher?

    • @worshiptutorials
      @worshiptutorials  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks! There is a midi enabled looper under the board. So the drives are routed through the individual loops in the looper, which can then be controlled via midi. The one I’m using is the Morningstar ML5.

  • @larriveeman

    I think with 2 over drives, one delay, one chorus, and one reveb pedal you can cover most styles

    I noticed that in recent videos there are little blips of footage out of scene with the rest - is this intended or accidental? 1:06 is an example

      Do you mean the glitches that happen sometimes on transitions? That's DaVinci Resolve not getting along with the new Apple M1 chips. Super frustrating, and not intentional. I haven't found a fix yet...

  • @jeremyloudermill1912

    So the MC8 acts as a switcher as well? Or is The Duelist and King of Tone?

    • @worshiptutorials
      @worshiptutorials  Рік тому +1

      The MC8 is controlling an ML-5 that’s under the board. The ML5 is a midi controllable switcher.

    Hmm, i put this comment the other day, but it's gone. I know the WT crew's position on music stands, and I get that - not trying to start that discussion here :) Are there any onSong users out there who are using onSong as a MIDI controller (or integrate with propresenter or something like that) - automatically change your pedals' (or Helix etc) settings as the song goes along?

      This video isn’t an advertisement for Morningstar - that’s just what I use on my board. You can do this stuff with any similarly featured Midi controllers. Lots of midi controlled loopers out there (like from RJM for example).

      … what?
      Hendrix, for one, was hugely innovative with effects. I think he would have embraced the bleeding edge of guitar tech in whatever era he lived in.
      Stevie would have just turned all his amps up and played.
