I’m done as well. From now on, I’ll be spending on bespoke clothing, shoes, and handbags with a tight supply chain and superior construction. Plus, the person I communicate with to purchase is also the maker, so that eliminates concerns about labor practices and fair wages.

Now, I am more intrigued by beautiful bags without a logo.

I’m going back 30 years and taking inspiration fromCarolyn Bissett Kennedy. She is timeless her clothes look just as relevant today as they did back then she’s now my style muse.

Thank you for this video, I. Happy I’m not 1 of these customers ☺️🤩😊

As you say, it's almost laughable how gullible some of these brands thought customers were. We're all learning and experiencing the increased pricing, the lack of quality, the lack of customer care, and poor working conditions.

That’s true, when I first bought my Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Paris in A flagship store You know I I was convinced that if it is a luxury item (my first one) I shouldn’t inspect it in the boutique, you know, because I thought it would be perfect🥴 but after coming to my hotel, I saw that one of the stitching holes was so big that I could see the red lining. so I came back to the boutique to replace my purse with an identical one and it was still not perfect. The canvas print is a bit unevenly aligned. So why is it considered luxurious? If you need to have a magnifying glass with you to be sure you are not sold something poorly made, it was the biggest surprise for me.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. It's wild how they just don't seem to care at all...

A few months ago I bought a Dior Wallet while on a trip to Berlin. The SR packed an item from the stock, that I also didn’t inspect. When I arrived home and was unpacking it, I saw there was glue on the leather. Then I searched some UA-cam videos and cleaned it. Later on I saw more glue in the item. I didn’t complain to Dior, but I guess I won’t be buying leather goods from them anymore

I have a closet filled with many “luxury brand logo” bags and I don’t want to wear them anymore. They make me feel like a show off…..which I’m not. I genuinely loved these brands for their history, quality and the luxury experience , which no longer exists. Lately I’ve been reaching for my understated YSL tote as a practical everyday bag, Strathberry and Longchamps mid range high quality underrated brands.
I will still continue to use a Chanel classic flap and a few other items on the odd occasion that are appropriate at the time. No more LV, Gucci of other heavily branded logos. You’re right….they should be making it worth our while to wear and advertise for them. Rant over! 😅

It’s so sad that people think we wear these bags for the logo when we just appreciate the history and the design, and wearing them makes us genuinely happy, not trying to show off.

luxury needs to be made well (stop passing off inferior goods). have a history (a story behind the product) sold well (stop hiring employees that could easily be working at grocery stores who have NO idea about customer service, product knowledge and offering the luxury experience) and SCARCE!!! (saw an elegantly classy woman yesterday sporting a GOYARD tote. you hardly EVER see one of those in the wild). if you know, YOU KNOW!!!

To me, luxury is high quality materials and workmanship. Sticking a logo on rubbish is not luxury. The latter is becoming far too common.
Moving on... if I were you, I'd avoid dying on the "cultural appropriation" hill. It's a nonsense. Far more western, first-world culture has been "appropriated" than the reverse. Moreover, it should be viewed as a compliment and a cause for celebration; not denounced as a negative. It strikes me as a mantra chanted by those with nothing to do but find negatives with western culture... a culture that provides them with the luxury of being so pathetic.

Where does she mention fashion industry in general? There's a difference between expecting everything being green, ethical and sustainable for 7,99 for a dress or at least no laws are broken for around 2500 for a handbag.

🌟..social media is a curse and bless both in today's time...brands kinda ruin their image by invoving influencers..but it's the very s.media that give us the true picture of these brand's haughtily "craftmanship"..
