The saying "A fool and his money are soon parted" rings so true with luxury goods.
How this any different from going out to eat or paying for a movie or the dumb things people spend their money on. It’s not. I think people who spend money to go watch a football game is as dumb as it gets yet many do.
In my opinion, FOMO isn't it. It's the fear of being seen as ''not as good as."
1. Most of the fashions I don’t care for.
2. The Gucci bags I got long ago have lasted all these years. The price has long been forgotten. But I’ll never buy them again.
3. Snob appeal.
4. A Birken bag sells for $10k but only costs $800.00 to make? Who is getting ripped off?
It how you feel about a product that makes it special.
@@kafenaded Marketing capitalizes on human emotion, and that "feeling" is exactly want the brands want from its consumers.
The stories behind these luxury goods are just the brand's marketing strategy, and the history and culture are also part of the marketing, in order to deepen consumers' recognition and make them more willing to spend money. Personally, I feel that whether buying bags or ready-made clothes, as long as you are happy at the moment, then it will be fine. *condup*
@@articulatemedia8552 yes, who wants to settle if you can get the best.
The easiest way to successfully rob a bank is to work on the building's construction. The easiest way to get a Birkin for 800 bucks is to get a job at the factory or be on good terms with them.
I’d never wear luxury to prove myself or to anyone, I’m happy to thrift most of my clothes, give me more satisfaction to recycle preloved items , there is enough clothes out there to recycle
I agree but there are times when I buy new. Usually I get deadstock or on sale items which is almost as good. I try to buy at least a few high quality items per season and that way my clothes last decades. The analysis ignores the role of quality.
I purchased a Vintage 1960's Louis Vuitton Men's Duffle bag paid $60.00 at a thrift store that had items from an estate sale. I also purchased 4 sets of vintage 1970's Gucci Horse Bit men's loafer, $100.00. What I found out was I got more Compliments on My Floto Duffle Bag over the Louis Vuitton Duffle bag. I also get more compliments on my Johnson & Murphy Horse bit Loafers than I did on the Gucci Loafers. People will see the items with true craftsmanship over the Luxury goods.
Who the hell on earth compliments the loafers? :D
@@dmitriyrabochiy4475 I DO, LOAFERS ARE CLASSIC,EASY, EFFORTLESS AND NEVER OUT OF STYLE. I Love them as lots of people dp too.
Anything with logos on them is vulgar.
As the saying goes: money talks and wealth whispers.
Everybody I meet on the street , at the airport , at shopping mall …. These people all look the same , wearing horrible clothes that look like pyjamas or something they found by a dumpster , yet they carry these shopping bags with brand logos … 🤔
Buying luxury bags is the dumbest investment. I personally don't think it's worth spending so much money on a bag. It's better to invest in gold. Of course I like those big brand bags. But I can't bear to give up the money. So all my bags are knockoffs from *hotdups* .
@@LianeBroz SOMEONE SHOULD COME UP WIT A BAG DESIGN THAT LOOKS LIKE A GOLD BAR ??? OH, I JUST DID.....
Here is how not to play the game: don't buy above your status. If you make minimum wage you are not wealthy buying a $1,000 pair of sneakers or purse. If you are rich, then that $1,000 item is not expensive at all, it is merely a small price to pay compared of the million dollar income a year you are bringing in. Also, if you know of a brand, it is not the brand the rich are buying. Don't use not "faking it till you make it" as an excuse not to dress well. You can dress well by buying a few timeless quality items and taking care of them well. These items must fit you well no matter if you pay $20 or $200. The most expensive brand still looks like trash on you if it doesn't fit you well.
How come nobody ever talks about the upper 10% who maybe treat themselves to one luxury item because they want it, and can easily afford it after decades of working hard?
That’s what I’ve been wondering, because I’ve seen numerous doctors who live like that
They're busy working, not posting videos on TikTok.
These brand clothes literally look like something children will create
Lol
I have a *amzclothes* dress that I bought in 2019, a white LV dress. It is counter quality and the fit and fabric are still the same as when I bought it. I think as long as it makes you happy, it's fine. I've also seen LV use plastic leather and blood red glaze...
I can’t speak for everyone but I get tried of hearing about all the stupid reasons why people buy this stuff I know some people just buy these luxury items because they just enjoy having the finer things in life that’s all nothing other than that
and how are they manipulating the poor, who dont have the credit or money to get this stuff. It's the middle-middle class and above.
But you are not buying “finer things” I.e. better quality, but a brand name
I always wear the highest priced designer clothes and shoes. Impressing people who don't know or care about me is very important. I feel real special now.
Great content. It is eye-opening.
Fear of missing out beeing robbed.
buy what you love… why care about others
Those outfits so ugly, it takes a list of top celebrities to promote. If it looks good, it looks good. Just saying.
I wish people would dress better, especially in the US. It’s horrible to look at all these poor dressed individuals in their baggy, ill fitting loungewear everywhere. It’s disgusting. What are these guys thinking?
Honestly? They are thinking how comfortable they are.
Luxury houses tend to use the word aspirational & ppl fall for it😂😂 I own luxury but I get it overseas at practical value
Giant logos on clothes are a dead giveaway that they are designed for the lowest low-lifes.
Fake rich are for people who have low self esteem.
Yes, especially women from the hood are crazy about carrying designer bags. It's laughable to me.
Yup wit an EBT card in it I'm like say whattttt 😮😂
lol I shop at Ross and Tjmaxx I might get a pair of Jordan’s sometimes at retail but I’m not paying over 200 nope. I like watches but I pay 200 max on it too. No one but the poor care about designer because it kinda makes them feel rich like they got a piece of the pie. I look great and people always ask where I get my style from. I just get what I like and put cool fits together and most of the time if I don’t add the cost of the shoes and jewelry I’m wearing the fit was probably like 120 to 200.
Top celebrities none of those mention qualify in my himble opinion 😊
I was in Gucci today and the SA told me they can’t often tell the difference between the authentic and MoMcoco 's bags. Surprised to hear that from an SA.
None for me, these items don't 'earn' there place in my life.
I am going to be completely honest. I have never been influenced by celebrities or any influencer. I am not a big fan of designer luxury. However, I did buy one designer sneaker by PRADA (PRADA DOWNTOWN SNEAKERS in the black/white color way). I bought them, because I like Nike Dunks, and I wanted a quality elevated version of them and PRADA did it best. Cost is $1100. I have had it for 2 months now and I have yet to wear them. I think it's because of all the branding. There's too much branding 4 in total - heel tab, tongue, triangle logo on the side and branding on the side of the soles. Why so much? The design of the sneakers and craftsmanship speaks for itself. As much as I love them, I might return them. I doubt I will find a sneaker to replace them with. This is about as designer as I get. I prefer street style.
Thank God I don't fall for this nonsense of buy now and pay later. I own 2 credit cards, aways pay the whole balance every month. My only debt is my house, because, it is a large amount of cash which I don't have it to pay it off. I could have paid the house off if I wasn't a victim of my ex-husband scheme . And I'm proud to say, my credit score is 806. Humble, poor, and simple, but not loosing my mind, in order to impress no one.😊 I only wish I could pay off my house before I die, but that dream is not on the horizon for me, because I'm already 65 and I owe too much on it, thanks to my ex scheme 😮
How can you feel FOMO on a brand that was here for the last 50 years and will be here for another?
i've read "The Nacklace" by Guy de Maupassant
Great.
That is the truth! I see that all the time! 😳
Not necessarily true Mark wears a $400 freaking t-shirt for goodness sake’s and I don’t really see anything special about it
That is very cheap. You know how much he makes right? A $5 t-shirt is cheap to you, and a $400 t-shirt is cheap to Mark.
@@CanadaFree-ce9jn the point is what makes that $400 t-shirt that much better
I wonder if beyonce ever look at jay z's hair, and say, "your hair is ridiculous"
Those millionaires have no style to begin with.
2:40 Proof how these brands started the brand ambassador bs and have celebs and kpoopers to become one. I lost interest once they started doing that.
The fact is these luxury brands are predatory. And the perceived poor/lower middle class are gleefully exploited.
This makes no sense you choose 60 year old people . Compare against the actors , sports players and other entertainers and see if the argument still stands they are also millionaires.
I was poor aa a kid I always missed out I never much cared for this crap now I can buy now.
There are luxury companies and fashion companies; the fashion companies owned by Mr. Arnault such as Louis Vuitton or Tag Heuer or Dior are not doing well while the real luxury companies such as Hermes are doing fine. I would not buy from any of these.
Manufactured status.
"luxury brands" mmm I doubt it.
Ask a person from old money families and I bet they don't buy any of these "luxury brands".
Squeezing their insecurities.
It's soo easy to separate black Americans from their money... From McDonalds up to Louis Vuitton...
It's pretty easy to separate most Americans from their money.
The fact people wear this shit is comical at this point…
The ones I bought before were so expensive that I didn't dare to use them because I was worried about scratching them; but you don't have to worry about the replicas because the MoMcoco ’s bags itself doesn't cost that much hahaha
#KKUWAN There is no competition in the world of fashion dups. These sacks are on a whole new level
These billionaires are ruining the luxury brands for greed
Why should to nerd robotic billionaires as been normal people rich or not those two would still not have an idea how to dress themselves.
French fashion going US ghettos?
Critical thinking is so badly needed.
Nta.
Scam
I despise these "luxurious" brand, so i stop pronouncing them "correctly". Its louis vuiton, just say it so, not looi vitong. Idc
Good one 😂
i stopped watching when she said bal-MAIN
i love you so much! I recently just found your bbkbags and i’m in love!! Your videos are so fun and you energy is just MWAH! keep living your life
My friend sold the MoMacoco and it looks like the real thing you showed. It even comes with an authenticity card that matches the serial number of each bag. But her fake was $500.
I'm very happy with the *hotdups* package. Beautiful storage compartments. Looks and feels like leather. The shoulder straps and zipper are of high quality. Very happy with the purchase.
Is diddy there?

New friend here sending may full support. KKUWAN
If you want to match different clothes, you may even need several bags with different styles or colors. You don’t want the bags to not match the clothes you are wearing, right? *condup*
I miss your crazy self! Love the videos lvguci
