I had big problems with mine too. Power and motor still great, but the string head was worthless and impossible. I'm going to give the replacement a try.
It would have been nice if you showed unboxing, loading the string and a short demo showing cutting grass and bump feature.
Nice video, tells a lot on how to install. Like many manufacturers equipment is upgraded over the years then newer trimmer heads do not fit. I have a model ST1500SF. Looking at the Amazon link it says the AH1531 will not fit the ST1500SF. The trimmer head is junk (I acquired the trimmer used). So I need a replacement...ideas?
Use the AH1300 replacement head for the ST1500 series.
After locking the had in place with an Allen key I can't get the nut to turn. Scratch that....I gave it one more go with a stronger ratchet. Thanks for the vid
How does the string load? Do you have to take it apart to get the string in? The power head attachment automatically pulls the string in. I know this one doesn't do that because there is no power down to the head. Thank you for the video it was very informative.
You have to set it to loading position, then run the string from one side all the way through to the other side (there's a gap that allows this), then pull the two strings even with each other. Then I just crank the top part of the head to reel them both in.
Does the replacement head come with loading string?
