Then Leadon does the lead guitar part -- pretty well, too -- instead of Felder. (Leadon played lead on the original song by the Eagles.) So much hair and masters of their craft. I am afraid this era of popular music is gone forever. Now it is drum machines, auto tune and self indulgent blathering, Glad we have this old stuff recorded.
It's one thing rap crap cant do is make people happy and smile. So much talent on stage, real guitars and drums so on. No computer generated sounds here like in rap and hippity hip hop. What's fun about rock is even watching the band jam and getting into it. No hate words just pure goodness bringing smiles

It's a girl, my Lord, In a flatbed Ford, Slowin' down to take a look at me. If those aren't the greatest lyrics ever. Memories of a misspent youth. I wouldn't have done it any other way.
It's weird that when I first looked this song up the Eagles were top hit. I thought that's not right even though I heard a falsetto, I remember a woman. I'm glad I came back to look up the year. This was great, and I didn't think the Eagles did it first. Great 🎶🎶🎶
Filmed during the very brief period when bernie leadon and don felder were both still in the lineup. Bernie was, IMO, the greatest instrumentalist in the eagles. Not a whole lot of live performance footage of the group during bernie's tenure...thanks for uploading.🙂👍
Yes sir...but watch Felder laying back in the background...not one solo or fill licks...just a very solid strumming pattern..letting Bernie do his thing...other than the editing/director who kept cutting away to the audience just when one of the band was in a close up...great clip/historical for sure..thanks for posting JB
Knew a German guy ages ago who told me there had never been one single night in which he didn't listen to JB's music before sleep. That I did too. That I did too! JB is not only a poet, not to mention a singer-writer, but a prophet whose depiction of the existential vacuum in the modern world is rarely surpassed by many contemporaries in the industry.
What a band that was. Bernie Leadon played a mean lead and the harmonies were fantabulous. My favourite version, particularly with Randy Meisner's cool harmonies. Great track, all round!
Linda Ronstadt every boys rock n roll wet dream back then. Her Rolling Stone magazine covers and album covers were 🔥. And she could sing and play with the boys to boot. When she wanted to belt she was the best chick rock n roll singer of her generation.
Great to see Berni Leadon and Don Felder there along with Randy Meisner. 😀 Also Linda Ronstadt. The Eagles harmony was never the same after they gave Randy Meisner the boot.
Thiis was Jerry Brown concert -- I was there at Cap Centre. You can see Berniie was a great guitar player and Randy an exceptional vocalist. So sad they changed it

He is always a joy to watch and listen to. I can truly say he's my favorite artist of all time because his pure love of the music always shines through.
Crowd clapping on the "1"...
Imagine being in that audience and witnessing history
imagine one of those making a comment on here,"hey thats me"
So much hair and masters of their craft. I am afraid this era of popular music is gone forever.
Now it is drum machines, auto tune and self indulgent blathering,
Glad we have this old stuff recorded.
Such a wonderful time it was!
Back when we were young ... ah, the memories
They all just got up there singing and strumming and making it look and sound easy. Those were the days.
70’s music has something special, don’t know why, you got to feel it.
Never knew Bernie played that most awesome haunting lead guitar..
It’s one of my all time fave guitar solos!
It's one thing rap crap cant do is make people happy and smile. So much talent on stage, real guitars and drums so on. No computer generated sounds here like in rap and hippity hip hop. What's fun about rock is even watching the band jam and getting into it. No hate words just pure goodness bringing smiles
Real music , played by real, talented musicians playing REAL instruments !!! Lord I miss them good 'ol days .... PEACE to all !!!
My favorite Eagles member...on the bass ladies and gentlemen Mr. Randy Meisner! 🔥
Jackson Browne gave the Eagles this song and the line there's a girl my lord in a flatbed Ford actually happened.
You are singlehandedly bringing back far too many memories that are still CRYSTAL CLEAR after 50 years !!! I am so glad you posted this !!! Thank YOU !!!
Their strumming hands were moving in sync.
@@tjwash2...........as are the claps in the audience !!!
Now this is a super group! Pre Walsh but all the boyz + Jackson & Linda. Fan-tastic!
True Eagles Sound !
Thanks ,Jackson Brown!!!
Happy Friday!!!🙂🙂🙂🙂
5 guitars (plus the bass) - and they're all in tune! When I was in a band we could barely keep the one guitar in tune
Take it easy ,eagle Thank you so and very much for the song maddy oje james ❤️
It's a girl, my Lord,
In a flatbed Ford,
Slowin' down to take a look at me.
If those aren't the greatest lyrics ever. Memories of a misspent youth. I wouldn't have done it any other way.
We were all that young once. And we’re all still here still loving Jackson Browne.
Sleeps Dark and Silent Gate. It has a spiritual affect.
Believe me it was Great Back Then,I'm Old School And I Loved It Best Years Of My Life,The 60's and 70's.
Epic, and to have Linda there too must have been absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing this with us.
We were so young full of life and music. So grateful to be part of the tribe.
Great to see Berni Leadon and Don Felder there along with Randy Meisner. 😀
Also Linda Ronstadt. The Eagles harmony was never the same after they gave Randy Meisner the boot.
OMG, my all time favorite Eagles piece, with Linda and Jackson. Such great harmonies, well-crafted arrangement. Part of the soundtrack of my life.
JACKSON BROWNE FOREVER
Thiis was Jerry Brown concert -- I was there at Cap Centre. You can see Berniie was a great guitar player and Randy an exceptional vocalist. So sad they changed it
Bernie Leadon’s guitar playing is brilliant.
Awesome. And Linda sings and plays guitar. One for the ages.
Linda has played guitar very well since her early teens. 🎶👍
Thanks for posting this, love the eagles especially Randy Mesnier, appreciate if you can share more of the live performances in the 70s thanks again.
