Got to love a graveyard tour, thanks Paul. Couldn’t catch the live as horrible manic day at work, nothing to do with Friday 13th, just a typical day in the short staffed, over worked profession I work in 😬😬 Will try and drop you an email this weekend as I have a few suggestions you might be interested in. All the best 👍🏻
Hi Paul, We did a tour of that graveyard, Its got Ellen Ternan ( Charles Dickens lover) in there, Shes buried on her own away from her two sisters, Also i think its the graveyard with the most Victoria Cross winners in there, Theres a grave for a young lad they called a monkey oy on ships that used to get the gun powder on ships to load, He was the only civilian to have a gun carriage funeral in Portsmouth, Also theres a mausoleum to the Dupree family. There's a lot more history in there mate.
That was great fun, sorry I missed the live, I was howling when ya swore with that branch, rain is lovely but its the specs innit? Pain in the arsenal xx
Hiya Paul, The cemetary looks very neglected, maybe its council cuts with money, I didn't catch your live vlog but I watched it later, what I was going to say the Headstones are about 5'8" tall, but you did mention it during the vlog, on your way up to Liverpool you could go to Duncan Edwards grave, its in Dudley or Wolverhampton if your going that way, when you go to London you could go to Freddie Mercury's grave,I'm a huge Queen fan, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England
Morning Paul the director !there will be no cuts,no waiting for sunny days ,loss of production ,and rain wind all the time, speckles of rain on his glasses, hope you’ve had your breakfast ,look at the weather for Friday the thirteenth 😮.sorry late watching this not getting the notification at all for these have to peekeepoo what’s on homepage UA-cam then see you’ve been on already😊despite clicked on bell long, long, ago boy you been doing these since dawn of time paul.😮maybe be Wi-Fi line across bell my settings are messed up sorry.
'The Penguin Guide to the Superstitions of Britain and Ireland' points out that the first confirmed reference to Friday 13th being unlucky is only from 1913. The idea that 13 is an unlucky number cannot be traced back further than the mid 19th century. That 13 people sat together at a table is unlucky is older but only from the late 18th century. Fridays were considered unlucky to begin a journey or start a new venture etc from at least the 14th century. At some point in the very late 1800's someone put two and two together (actually Friday and 13) and concluded that this day must be particularly unlucky.
Paul seeing you with that Grim reaper T-shirt on I've asked my goddaughter to dress up as a grin reaper at my funeral to stand outside when the people are coming out of the church. I just thought it was funny. My sense of humour I suppose.
I was going to ask you if there was some reason some of the crosses and headstones are laid down cos they look too heavy for even strong winds to blow them over xx
Some interesting military gravestones Paul ,I did comment on the end of the live feed about the knight's templer orgin of Friday 13th were hundreds of them were arrested and later executed on the orders of the pope and King of France on this very day October 13 1307
Paul, my comment that you couldn't read 'cos of the rain, when you asked if anyone was superstitious, was that as a Humanist I believe that everything has a scientific explanation, so I'm not superstitious. I do believe that the Paranormal exists, I've experienced it quite a few times, but believe that it's just the normal, for which science doesn't currently have an explanation. Boss Brucie Bonus live, thanks Paul👍🙏
Was going to put up a new shed today , maybe not - nothing to Friday the 13th more to do with the high wind & rain. Hello from the Norfolk / Suffolk border
Hi Paul, very interesting graveyard today. I really like the war graves as we don't honour these people enough. Have you been to the cemetery at Portchester castle? It isn't very big, but lots to see, as the castle is very old. 🙂
Hi Paul, great content as always missed your live show due to coming back househunting in Cumbria. While up there, we were looking at property in a village called Croglin and while I was researching into the area using UA-cam, I found that the churchyard there had a crypt and in the crypt England had it only vampire so the story goes. Wondered if you might be interested. By the way, I do love your jacket, where did you get it from, all the best mate!
Hi Paul again. Yes I heard about it purely just to find out what the village is like the village it’s quite remote but very picturesque. The information I found on Google and when I found that at once, supposedly had a vampire I then looked on UA-cam! anyway, just thought you might be interested. And also see if you can get to West Brompton Cemetery has John wisdom, who practically invented the game of cricket , I know you don’t like Cricket, finally rests!!! all the best Phil
Well done Paul, excellent video carried out in very difficult conditions. Stay Safe.
Good evening all! It's 9.25pm in Australia, wishing everyone a lucky Friday 13th. Paul, I hope you don't catch a cold, take care!☮️🇦🇺
