Good video as usual. One thing I would say is you were fortunate that the Autel showed the bad sensor waveform. I've had 0778 code, or whatever, and calibration not work because of the tiniest glitches you could imagine. VCDS scope feature usually shows them but sometimes only properly scoping the sensors shows the problem. That's the reason the car needs driving in a straight line for a while, so the computer knows there are no glitches in the wheel speed signals. Until then it instructs the under wheel computer (or if the angle sensor is in the rack and connects straight to the ABS pump it just disregards it) to kill one of the 5v feeds to the steering angle sensor (there are 2, one for transmit IRs and other to the receive IRs - can't remember which one it kills but 7 diodes for each and 2 supplies, 10 pins). This is an underhand way of doing it by VW. There is no explanation anywhere of why the calibration fails - especially when sometimes there are no codes. And the steering to the left then right procedure for the calibration is done right to left to set the limits. Don't you just love German cars 😁.

The magnetic abs rings on the wheel bearing rust underneath and swell up to close the gap with the sensor. Seen that with the live data after the fix wasn't exactly the same on both sides. Aftermarket ones are terrible for this. Hope this info is of use to someone watching. Happy new year my friend

The sensor should be a line of code in software but they made it a mechanical part that will ALWAYS wear out as it is in the wheel well (LMAO) that is always jostled around from terrible roads(especially in Murica).
The sensor makes the front right headlight turn off after 2mins, and the sensor with installation is around $400. 🤣 Degenerate 20th Century morons with their mass production garbage. Every single car ever made is a piece of filth designed to fall apart to make mechanics and dealerships Trillions across the Earth.

I actually just purchased a Audi A6 with only 96000 km on it. Only a week in and I'm having some driving issues. I kinda noticed when driving last couple days but got really bad last night driving home. @@LMAutoRepairs Hi Bro, I have a question if I may, If I had a faulty brake switch, would it interfere with calibration of the steering angle sensor?.
Basically I changed the ABS sensor on a Audi a3 2007, I cleared the code and reset the module, Immediately the steering went 20% heavier. Before that I also replaced all disc n pads and pumped the pedal a few times all the way down, I was thinking maybe this caused the switch to fail. Now I cannot seen to recalibrate the steering angle sensor and the ESP warning is on.

My issue is: on very wet days (after heavy rain) the car will drive fine but then flash PRNDS when coming to a stop light or stop sign, issuing a Traction Control light, ABS light and check engine light. Turn the car off and on again and quickly place it into manual 1 and i am able to get going again. The lights eventually all go away once the weather dries up and i am able to drive perfectly for hundreds of miles. Car has a brand new bosch reman alternator, newer battery, new rear brake switches, the new mech unit and service. Any help would be so appreciated you have no idea! 12 codes total, relating to abs, epc, tcu not communicating with ecu etc. but when dry, no issues!

I was on audi yesterday. They did a Dignostic and they couldn’t find any faults because they told me that my ecu has been upgraded.
and when they try to find the faults the computer is crushing and doesn’t show any fault.
1 another guy told that the gateway and the wiring has been changed.
I have no idea what the problem is but I have saw many videos of you and u find solutions for everything.

it looks like the front brake pads are fitted with the inside pad on the out side as it has the metal location strips on the outside, these usually fit inside the caliper piston... i assume this is why the brake pad wear indicator is not attached as the wear indicator wire is fitted to the inside pad .. and now the wire will not reach.. total bodge up and the owner should be advised not to try to fix the car as they have no mechanical knowledge and could lead to an accident..

On this A3, the outer pad also has the metal clips... the clips are fitted on both pads...
