Thanks for posting this! Was able to correct mine just a few hours after bending. May not be 100% perfect, but it's barely noticeable now.

Just thinking a clamp might work better than the adjustable spanner.

Yes, alloy wheels can suffer lots of dents and be perfectly safe.

I got three on one day. It was the 4th ride so like new. One of the dents was huge. So huge that affected the area close to the napless but no to twist the rim. It toke me long time to fix it but I will replace the rear rim anyways for sure.
MAy I ask you how good is that rim? lg1?

It's not that great, got the dent on my first couple of rides out on it. I guess you get what you pay for. That being said, I got some Minesweepers tire inserts and I haven't had a problem since

@@mikenbikin9182 It is not expensive and thats because is one of my options. I found that rim on a web at uk but Still not sure where and when to replace it.
I was thinking on my case when damaged my rim/s; My rim is not a top one. it is a standard WTB 27.5 29mm rim.
The sealant was low when started to use it at summer from new because the bike was stored for months before ride it. And, the worse was that I rode it on a very rocky trail very fast where rocks were sharp and pointing from the ground. I didnt avoid the rocks at the last part. Awful idea so mostly my fault.
I may be wrong but I think that even top wheels with top rims can get damaged no matter geometry of the rims or carbon or 6061 or 7051 alu.
Couple weeks later rode again the same place being careful but my tyre, a new schawlbe hans dumf, got holes even on the walls like the nobby nic of the previous time. Some "holes" on the walls very close to the rim and on the same same line that the hole on the tread. I think that explain a lot.
The second tire got flat after ~15 minutes. What a mess!!!
My bike is at Spain now so I have time until I come back on holidays to rebuild the wheel.
got months to find a proper rim.

@@Fromheaven007 Man! You must be riding some really janky stuff! I'm a pretty big guy myself, so I've found that not going under 26 psi with the tire inserts keeps me from making contact with the rim. As far as your tires go, line choice matters! To make my cheap rims hold up better I went with DT Swiss Alpine III spokes, in my case I'm more worried about durability than weight. Good luck with yours!

Came here to say that. Absolute trash. Dinged the rear so bad it won’t hold air. Replaced with DT EX511’s, ride the same trails just as hard, zero problems.
