Your video is such a blessing. It answered so many questions I still had and my last doubts about dark rides are gone. The game will be a blast. Thank you!
Appreciate you taking the time to set this up and give us such an in-depth look into the game. That resort pack is looking so nice! Can't wait to get going on this one!
Who knows... but to be very honest, I'm not interested in doing it right now. First want to focus on doing some builds of my own that I've been thinking of!
Ngl, my favorite and most wanted feature for this game is the updated lighting mechanics for the buildings. I haven't seen anything about it yet but it was the first thing you showed us! That makes me even 10x more excited for this game than I was previously! Thank you so much for your thorough showcasing Silv!
The custom animatronic pieces excite me the most. The creativity is going to be ENDLESS! Thanks so much for showcasing everything. This must have taken a very long time. Cheers Silv
Would've loved to see the Paratrooper, Twister, Power Moves or Eagle back in this game. Also would've loved to see a Mondial Top Scan, Shake and a Fabbri or KMG Booster among the flat rides but instead we got 2 more swings that are similar to the hammer swing. I really hope they'll add these rides later, albeit through a DLC
Really good amount of coatsers and flat rides. However I'm a bit dissapointed in the unnecessary large footprints of the coaster stations and flatrides. We'll basicly have to play with a no-clip option to make anything realistic...
@@ThrillsofColdplay Really? Just look at the first one already: 1) The boat is less than a third of the length of the station 2) The gates don't allign with the seats 3) The gates allow for like 6 people to queu, even though only one person will be able to sit on a row 4) The exit is at least double the width it should be 5) ... How can that not bother you? I'ld even prefer the stations to be normal straight track pieces with a walkway, entrance and exit like in RCT.
I think the idea behind the station size is to minimize the number of sizes to make blueprints of coaster stations more viable for use with any coaster. And nothing really stopping a DLC or an update for coaster stations down the road....
this one's already looking significantly better than Planet Coaster 1 was. So much more stuff, I can get the ideas flowing in my head for how to do a park, it's awesome. Can't wait to see what you cook up.
Thank you for this. I’m excited about the 2m x 4m wall pieces. You mentioned the kerbs. Still kind of blows me away what is possible in technical terms with these games nowadays. Just the fact the rides look like that and can all be rendered in real time at the same time. Just a little over 20 years after Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 came out. Just imagine where it will be in another 20 O_o
I've realised something, where is the B&M Sitdown (F25) that was showcased in the trailers? You know the one where they showcased the train editor and turned it into a submarine. I wonder if they removed it because it was still themed to the mustang car.
Man the scenery is going to be skyrocketing with the new options to attach stuff to rides/animation pieces, I can see people building coasters undergroud to make vehicles move above ground!

It's a bit of a tug-of-war between the business and consumer interests on it. Frontier are coming off the money sink of developing the game and, having laid down all this new engine work, the easiest thing for them to create as quick DLC is more scenery items. Allowing for community-created assets on release would effectively be them giving up that money, which would be a wonderful thing for them to do, but it's hard to justify for them. The compromise on PC1 was for them to put out some premium asset packs for a while, but to later give the game fully over to the community with the Thememaker's Toolkit. It's a goodwill gesture that doesn't really give them much immediate payoff (other than maybe getting a few more people to buy the base game down the line than otherwise would have) but it's there to build trust between them and their customers, trust that they'll put in a bit of extra time to ensure the best possible longevity for the games they're providing. In a similar way, they're seemingly giving complete early access to content creators to reveal and review as they please, in comparison to other companies that often try to hide a lot about games so they can get away with buggy or unfinished work. That's all to say: I don't see any reason why they wouldn't follow a similar pattern here, i.e. some initial DLC offerings with new assets, and then adding full community modding support as they move onto the next marquee release. It's extremely difficult at the moment to consistently have video games return their investment; AAA developers, particularly Ubisoft, are in a crisis trying to pursue that consistency. Frontier have carved out a niche in this genre, and seem fully aware of how valuable it is to retain a good relationship with their audience. I think you can be at least optimistic that they'll remain on such a course.
Great insight, thanks for sharing! My comment was referring to ride customizability - in that sense it's a great choice for them, it gives players a chance to build things for other players to easily use in their park and expand the amount of ride choices, without affecting their ability to sell DLC much.
I'll be looking forward to when it comes out. Pre-purchased mine on steam, the deluxe edition of course. Especially the slide building, as I have recreation of slides lined up.

The water slides are unbelievable. I've been waiting for a Planet Waterpark for years thanks to how much fun I had with RCT3: Soaked!. I'll never be seen again once I buy this game.
I really do need window panes. I really love making indoor parks. Now we've got waterparks, which are indoor way more often and I really think they should add window panes before release.
1:04:10: Believe it or not, there is actually a mat slide with uphill water jets in real life, by WhiteWater West! I only learnt that myself today lol.
Heya looking forward to seeing what projects you have lined up for PC2. Are you planning on doing any Planet Coaster College videos, this really helped me with my builds and would love to see a return.
Love the theme sets, the only gripe I have is no spoopy or fantasy theme which is always my favourite part of a theme park. Oh well, mythology theme will tide me over until hopefully we get them.
I can't believe they didn't fix "one" of the biggest complaints of planet coaster 1.. the tower rides are still at set heights. In the original they said they couldn't donit due to technical issues but then.. they actually did do it on one of the dlcs with a tower rides you could adjust the height of.. now in planco 2.. we are back to square one with the non adjustable heights on screaminator and the rest. Ugghh.... I'm still excited for the game but it's the little things like this that make me scratch my head. Also.. why no open chair lifts. Come on Frontier.. you can do better.. hopefully we get more of the old rides we had previously in some dlc.
I'm clearly very very very excited to see the game come out, I'm just a bit worried, it's silly but I love fireworks, they were outstanding in RCT3, great in Planet Coaster, but I feel like they've taken them out in planet coaster 2. Maybe I was the only one to use them, but I'm still a bit baffled, especially as they've improved the sequencing system ^^’ But hey, I'll focus on what I have and less on what I don't ! Ok, now I'm excited. I was worried that I'd have to wait for a bunch of DLC packs just to get back everything we had in PC1. It's great that they're basically picking up where they left off and adding more.
This looks really promising! However, I'm a bit sad that there's no fireworks and pyro effects like in Planet Coaster 1. I really hope they will include it in an update.
True. I think this is an underrated nuance to the common complaint that they just copied things over. It's like getting a bunch of PlanCo 1 DLC's and the base game in one go.
I’m honestly disappointed in the lack of humanoid or creature animatronics. With the new lighting engine, you’d think they would have given us more to work with for dark rides. Hopefully we’ll get more in future DLCs and updates. However, those moving platforms that you can attach objects to is a game changer! That unlock so much potential, it’s just too bad there’s not a lot of animated figures to work with.
I consider this Planet Coaster 1.24 rather than a true sequel, but I'm cool with that. Frontier aren't a huge studio. I did worry a little that the water rides would come at the cost of an improvement in the core game, glad to see that's not the case. Shame about the lack of proper water ride physics, it is what it is. I was surprised to hear Asobo worked with Frontier to bring animals into FS 2024....maybe MS could return the favour and bring the FS2024 physics to PC!
Loved that video. But i am really curious to know sth more about the special effects, especially fireworks. Are they included from the beginning? And have they changed the style, more diversity, options for own adjustments, smoke from the explosions? I would love to hear from you about that, because i couldnt find anything about that yet
Oops, I placed those down on the map but I forgot to show them (I was very short on time, in my defense). They're in the game, but very similar to the first one.
@@Silvarret all good^^ and thanks for the quick answer. Although it sounds a bit disappointing for me. Nonetheless it will be an awesome sequel i believe
Not that fast, I first want to practice on some blueprints... + I'm hoping those will appeal to casual players as well. But I'm planning to do a big Eurasian port-themed park in the near future (which was originally my idea for Aerobats of Arabia... oh well)
Great but you forgot to mention the sequencer. Any improvements to triggering doors and effects? Speaking of effects, where are they? Fireworks and water effects, explosions and lights? PC1 had nice sliding doors that could trigger at certain points along the coaster track... the doors could be set to stay open until closed by another trigger, do we have that? I guess we have to buy all those PC1 DLC again to get spooky effects again?
The fact the EVERYTHING is recolor-able is absolutely huge. No more "i wish this piece was more like this other piece"
This, and rescaling, makes for so much customizability!
Sadly the same can't be said about all rocks and all trees. Just to get that different rock type and tree type.
So impressive that this is base game, can’t wait to see all the stuff that is added over time
I think this is a good start! Can't forget the hopefully future (free) updates and DLCs will add more and/or change things.
This does include the pre-order and deluxe bonus keep in mind. :)
How can you be impressed when they have removed security
you will have to pay more money for DLC
i haven't got the game myself DLC puts me off
@@Silvarret I bought it but I'm really annoyed at having no security

only thing i miss are glasses for windows, so we must build now buildings without glasses in it or is there a other way to do?
No other way right now unfortunately.
It needs some fixes like no guests at the start, but other than that, it's promising!
Thanks, Silv. How fast you gonna build a park? Doesn't matter... I am looking forward to it! Thanks for the info!
Not that fast, I first want to practice on some blueprints... + I'm hoping those will appeal to casual players as well. But I'm planning to do a big Eurasian port-themed park in the near future (which was originally my idea for Aerobats of Arabia... oh well)
1:10:16 How can you use the ferry entrance
Duuude you rock. 🎉🎉
