    Another cool trick. You can duplicate twice, and change the pitch slightly on both duplicates. So that way the tracks will be in sync, but still sounds like multiple voices.

    In addition to the editing shown, use of the Time-Shift tool to offset sections gives a more natural feel, but no more than +/- 5ms. If modifying the pitch, which is really undesirable, detune only a very tiny amount. But multiple recording of the chorus is best, especially by using different vocal tones. Once you have recorded about 12 mono tracks, lower the amplitude before mixing down. Save as a 32-bit float for headroom and attenuation if clipping occurs (multiple tracks mixed down increases the volume).

    ok. in 25 yrs i never seen anyone manually do a chorus feel. but maybe the beatles did this on 4 track tape. U r thinking creatively . and so I like that!!!!...thats what counts. I would buy a chorus pedal..call it a day for $20

  • @havenisle

    This is great! I tried it, and I wanted to let you know that I found a really cool way to build on it! Basically, you do the same thing, but on tracks 2 and 3, raise the pitch of one, and lower the pitch of the other one. It can be super subtle, but sounds awesome!! The left and right thing on head phones ftw!

    What you did with the secondary track by shifting it is called "stereo separation" ... There's probably an effect in audacity that does it for you (idk I don't use audacity but most DAWs have this feature built in}

    If I wish to record a song in my own voice through a microphone, should I do it in mono track or stereo? Suppose I also have an instrument on the second track, and beats on the third. Should they be on mono or stereo. I suppose while exporting, it should be in stereo.
