Lol thank you
Ur the 2nd comin of jesus
Thanks

THANK YOU!!!!
Another cool trick. You can duplicate twice, and change the pitch slightly on both duplicates. So that way the tracks will be in sync, but still sounds like multiple voices.
Thanks for the additional tip!
James Doakes How much should you change the pitch
omg thats what i want to do how do you do it?
choose effects -> change pitch
Very little.
"dis is mah kingdom come"
+Mister Babadook lmfao XD
hahaha duuuuuuude xd
whahaaha
Dis is my Monster Condom...
This is my.. MAGNUM DONG
Paegan Terrorist damn i was gonna say this..lmao
As someone trying to record and mix their own songs at home, this is really helpful, keep it up!
And you got a really good voice, even without the chorus stuff haha
+Jorgen Wu Thank you! Glad you found it helpful.
Thats all you had to say... this is the time shifter... tweak it till you get the sound you want.
_video done_
Wait i'm at the half of the video and i was hoping he would add something else, please man i heard 30 000 words in 12 mins but only 20 were necessary xD
You have a great voice. I tried to sing something and it sounded like satan's doorbell
+iPodiMaster Thank you :)
+Tutorials with GS Yeah i use this technique in my songs :)
+iPodiMaster LMAO! XD
I just pissed myself lmao
send me a recording
Duplicate - Zoom in - Delete 0.01 seconds. BAM! Delay! Different sound!
Brilliant
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this tutorial - I have found it to be very useful! :)
Super ..teaching
I have only listened to around a third of this video and it has already completely flipped my production game, and I've been in this issh for years! Big Respect! Z-Z
6:50 to skip all the talking to get to the point, if you already know but happened to forget
I enjoyed this video and I do like when you talk and explain everything. some people have no patience and want to learn instantly and not listen to the instructions. I thank you very much for taking the time to create this video.
If you talk less, this video would've lasted 5 mins.
EXACTLY....i hate that shit.... its like they explain the same thing with another set of words....
#dontoverexplainsimpleshit
If he didn't talk at all it would've lasted 0 seconds
Johann Ettga hahahha
Yaah really ...it would only be 4.57min
Pretty sure you can condense it into 1 minute, holy fuck.
In addition to the editing shown, use of the Time-Shift tool to offset sections gives a more natural feel, but no more than +/- 5ms. If modifying the pitch, which is really undesirable, detune only a very tiny amount. But multiple recording of the chorus is best, especially by using different vocal tones. Once you have recorded about 12 mono tracks, lower the amplitude before mixing down. Save as a 32-bit float for headroom and attenuation if clipping occurs (multiple tracks mixed down increases the volume).
Thank you for this great video! For quite sometime I had been experimenting such chorus sound effects on my own until I bumped into this tutorial. Thank you once again!
ok. in 25 yrs i never seen anyone manually do a chorus feel. but maybe the beatles did this on 4 track tape. U r thinking creatively . and so I like that!!!!...thats what counts. I would buy a chorus pedal..call it a day for $20
This is great! I tried it, and I wanted to let you know that I found a really cool way to build on it! Basically, you do the same thing, but on tracks 2 and 3, raise the pitch of one, and lower the pitch of the other one. It can be super subtle, but sounds awesome!! The left and right thing on head phones ftw!
Thanks for the tip and feedback!
De cuanto debe ser la diferencia entre el tono de las pistas a la hora de bajarlo y subirlo ?
TSYM for this!!! Using it to create chorus to my first cover of a Vocaloid song, Black Rock Shooter. Thanks again!
Thanx, it made it a lot easier for me to get a great sound on the vocals!
You're welcome, glad it helped you!
Lol. I'm trying to learn this shit, I'm mad impatient.
ikr same here
Tah K.O. same
its easy (after 2 years xd)
I feel u bro lol
shit easy ass hell
Excellent advice I've learnt alot
This is what i did for some songs on my channel. If you like the SuicideBoys and underground stuff like that u can copy paste and pitch change it on one side or just mess around with it
skipped through the first 4minutes, just get to the point
What you did with the secondary track by shifting it is called "stereo separation" ... There's probably an effect in audacity that does it for you (idk I don't use audacity but most DAWs have this feature built in}
Very cool, i want to start a music channel so your tutorials will help me. You sing pretty good
Got tips to sing better?
I am not a singer, so no, haha, sorry.
I can't get enough of your great video tutorials....excellent..LOL
I have watched a lot of tutorials on Audacity , totally loved this one . I dont have the money to get all the instruments to do a proper recording of my original songs but between you and Andrew Mercer i should do ok ...lol
you're a really good singer
Thank you for making this tutorial it has been very helpful.
Glad you enjoyed.
Playing background music while trying to explain sound is insane. Let people hear what you're working on, not some bad background track.
Very clever and clearly presented. Thanks much
great video!! simple and smart
great video! Thanks for posting this :-)
Never in my life have I thought of doing these adjustments... that's quite impressive.
You had me at Rihanna , great video man still today!
Thanks so much. Love the video. Been kind of doing this just playing around. Never knew it was actually done. Going to fine tune my technique now. Thanks for lighting the 💡!
Demons hit me like a ton of bricks. My HEART
Hey it's so difficult to place so many tracks on correct timing ...can u help
Sir please explain all the terms used in editing like what is pitch , tune frequency and all other terms
how do you edit many parts of the song simultaneously so that only these parts will look like a chorus, while the other parts remain originals, without any editing?
You are talking so much, but from minute 5 to the last that was really helpful for me, thank you so much, like and subs from me
Thank you for the video :).Your voice is really cool, don't worry :)
Thank you. Glad you found it helpful. I have plenty of other Audacity tutorials if you're interested.
Tutorials with GS Will check out when stuck with my audio files again :)
Easy method on UA-cam thanks dude
Thank YOU
Thanks a lot man, great work and keep the good work...
Thank you!!
That was very helpful. Thanks for the tutorial.
WOW! this is super informative and easy to understand, thank you for making this and taking the time
Omg your voice is actually awesome...
Hey im using audacity but my time shift wont let the top shift by itself like it moves the duplicate to how do i get it to move by itself so that i can shift them?
Vanitè Mitchell bruh click the empty spot on the bottom, youve got both highlighted
If you don't have a second take, you can just duplicate it, pitch-shift it by 1% and do the other stuff and it sounds similar.
U can also do exactly what u did but instead of time shifting.. just pan one to the left and one to the right and it will still do the trick plus it wont make you sound off beat
You actually sing very good
Hmm I'll try it
I rap and I'm trying to expand my horizon
Awesome, I do some rap on my Music channel too, but just for fun. Good luck!
If I wish to record a song in my own voice through a microphone, should I do it in mono track or stereo? Suppose I also have an instrument on the second track, and beats on the third. Should they be on mono or stereo. I suppose while exporting, it should be in stereo.
Thanks for the tutorial . Very helpful and cool vocals with the chorus effect..
This is the tutorial I am looking for, thanks!! you really help me a lot
Thanks for watching, glad you found it helpful!
This is awesome, thank you very much!!!!
+Jonnathan “JebPride” Echeverry Benavides No problem, glad you enjoyed!
Excellent tutorial. Thanks!
Thanks for watching, glad it helped!
Bro thank you very much this helped alot ! ❤️
I downloaded the latest audacity and can't record a second track. It just adds to the top track. Any idea why? I have been using Audacity for years. So frustrated! Anyone? Thanks!
this helped a lot man thanks! keep it up!!
+Siem Scholman Glad you enjoyed, and thanks.
Helpful
Keep Up With Your Work! Its Really Helpful.
Your so cool sir 👑
You can also copy and paste the same recording and change the pitch
How can I mix two vocals
So say I wanted to take multiple voices and harmonize them together as a chorus, how would I go about that?
You're singing voice is pretty good tbh

I am trying to record, and you can hear the previous recordings when played though my Mac book, I went and got apple headphones bu they aren't working with audacity, what do I need to get for this to work for me?
What happens if i copy the base track and then change the pitch a little, to make it like playback vocal?
Very good chap
I been trying to find a tutorial on how to mix in your vocals with the beat so it sounds more better I think the proper name for it is "mix and master" I was hoping maybe you could make a tutorial for that it would really help me out thank you
I can for sure look into it!
mastering
Is that Tutorials with Gs? Or is that Dan Reynolds?! Good video. Ty
Thank you this was very helpful!! :)
Awesome, glad it was!
Thank you so much.. brother.
Awesome simple and natural sound trick bro i love it!!
Thanks for the video. Helped me out a lot. Question..Is there a way to look at each track and see what effects etc have been added? Oh and ignore the arsehole comments below about too much talking the vid is good. Some people have just got nothing better to do.
omg thank you! this is saving my project!
How can solo part be added to the chorus using audacity to record pls?
Great tutorial! Thanks for the tip mate, and by the way your sound is good mate, it's not bad :D
What’s the difference between adding chorus and using echo?
I have a little issue with doing multi track recording in audacity. on the 1st track I record my music(piano), but when I record vocals on the second track it also captured the sound of the instrument on the 1st track. is there a way while listening to the music I created on the first track I can record vocals on the second track separately without capturing the sound of the instrument i recorded on the 1st track? hope you can help me. thanks in advance.
it worked
Love u..very well explained and most important to me...very easy to understand what you say (im a spanish speaker lol)
Nice tutorial thanks man.
Btw, the irony is that the title is "love the way you lie" and you were singing imagine dragons' song. 🤪
Thank u for this!!!!
Man you ramble alot. Please get to the points faster. 18min videos for 3 mins of instructions. I'm not hating on you, I'm just saying that if you want to instruct please do so, don't waste the short time I have on this planet by saying the same, redundant things over and over. Other than that you have a great understanding of the program and I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos
ty this video helped me
Good video and vocals were pretty good man
