Apparently the molecule of castor oil is almost identical to a prostaglandin, which is a cell signaler/hormone in the body. This is why it does such incredible work.

@@nichellehowellprostaglandins refer to a group of hormone-like, biologically active endogenous chemicals that do various things inside the body by binding to different receptors. For example, bimaprost in Latisse reduces eye pressure, increases eyelash length, and darkens skin (maybe permanently). Castor oil doesn't darken skin, latisse doesn't induce labor or bowel movement. Prostaglandins are unique.

Castor oil has taken care of my raw lips and chapped nose from respiratory illness in just 2 days. I lost 30 pounds a year ago and started using equal parts castor oil and rose hip oil with drops of frankincense for my face neck and chest. My skin looks younger than a decade ago. I had a crusty mole. On my back. Got it checked by a dermatologist to be sure it’s not cancer. I put castor oil on it evening and morning and it has shrunk right down. Not gone, but much improved. I put it on my lids, lashes and brows at night and they are much improved. They look fresh and younger and my chronic dry eye is much improved so I only need drops a few times a day instead of ten times a day. Since I already had it on my fingers, I would rub it on my cuticles and nails automatically. Now I have long nails with no breakage for the first time since menopause. Good stuff. Thinking I now have to try it on my stomach for sleep.

African American woman, 36, oily acne prone skin….i also have extremely dry sensitive eye and eye area. Castor oil has been the single best thing for my entire face…it’s done more for my dark marks than retinol (i actually think retinol and castor are a perfect pair) i apply all over my body for various reasons…but it’s done more for my face in months than products I’ve used for years. So many moisturizers and serums and creams are collecting dust (eyelash and eye cream included) bc i use this twice a day in winter and once a day in warmer months. If you have no negative reaction (clogged pores) i highly recommend adding to ur routine!

Im so grateful for castor oil! When i was younger I used to get plantar warts on my feet that would grow deep into my foot and by applying castor oil on them they just disappeared, painlessly. I used to have a doctor either burn or freeze the warta off before and it was so painful and would cause scarring. Castor oil seems to prevent scarring as it does its work which is another miracle it performs.

I have been going for monthly facial peels for melasma for almost a year now and, other than feeling pampered, there has been absolutely zero changes in the discolouration! I know all the benefits of castor oil since a Naturopathic Doctor told me to do castor oil liver packs (for heavy menstrual cycles and detoxification) about it years ago but I was just never consistent enough. Well, after hearing your testimony, I will definitely be more consistent in using it daily especially now that it’s winter here in Canada and the dry weather wreaks havoc on my skin. Thank you for sharing, I always love it when “regular folks” share what worked for them especially because they have nothing to gain nor are they selling anything.

    • @SuzyTurner
      @SuzyTurner  6 місяців тому +1

I'm sorry your monthly peels haven't made any difference to your skin but at least, as you said, you got some serious pampering! I really hope the castor oil helps you though. We even thought about moving there at one point! x

Waist ! You Can detox your liver by applying castor oil packs AT night ?

    • @cozycoffee3831
      @cozycoffee3831 6 місяців тому +2

That's what I've heard. I drink detox tea daily (brewed along with a ginger tea, and I add honey), so I don't think I need it to detox my liver. But, the packs can also get your liver to function more on the healthy biological clock and I need it for that.
When you use it to help the biological clock of the liver, then that promotes the natural detox, healing, etc., processes which happen when we sleep. The purification of the liver is tied to the cycle of the kidneys, so that's part of it, too. It helps you to sleep more efficiently and healthily.
I haven't ordered my supplies yet, but, I'm going to use tshirt fabric cloths, plus clear flexible silicone placemats, plus wide medical tape. Some people are using saran wrap wrapped around the midsection to hold the castor oil pack in place, but since castor oil is so very powerful, I caution against using the toxic saran wrap, as the toxins will be absorbed by the castor oil and transferred to the body.
I am only mentioning the info about the supplies, because it's a good idea to do it the right way, and it doesn't make sense to detox the liver with toxic saran wrap.

Nice that it’s gone.. I’ve used for years with no changes in sunspots, but my lashes grew and skin is extremely hydrated.
When your friend told you to have it looked at, probably should have sent you to check it “just in case@ before wasting valuable time if it was skin cancer. Time is your enemy. I have had 3 skin cancers removed in the last few years and my dermatologist is really cranky if I do a “wait and see”. Twice the cancer appeared as just a patch of flaky skin.. no mole, no discoloration. The last one was on the tip of my nose. I had had a cold, so I assumed that it was just dry skin from blowing my nose so much. But after a few weeks, I had it looked at and biopsied. Squamous cell carcinoma. MOHS surgery, plastic surgery for this very deep cancer that looked like nothing. Before you ignore and self treat a discoloration or mole, have it checked by a specialist. My regular MD said some on my temple was nothing, but it too was squamous cell needing immediate surgery.
Long diatribe to say please don’t treat spots or anything casually unless you have them checked…especially if you have ever had a sunburn or exposure. Treating symptoms could waste valuable time.
Edit: if you still see anything, I would get it looked at-just an abundance of caution. Believe me, the scars and possible spread is not worth ignoring

I had skin cancer on my face, and I was horrified with my dermatologist, because she was not helping. I will spare you the details, but please trust me on that.
So, I was on my own, and I had to do something. I didn't know about castor oil back then, but I did know I didn't have basal cell carcinoma. I had a less dangerous type, which shows up, goes away, comes back again and so forth, back and forth. Long story short, I decided to burn it away with bleach and qtips.
The results were far better than I imagined! One, hardly any pain at all, --I didn't even have to think about it. Two, it freaking worked!!! The cancer was all gone and has not come back, and it's been three years!!! Three, it was the epitome of cheap and easy. I didn't even used bandaids or products afterwards. Four, no scar!!! I wasn't expecting that, but am thrilled by it.
I def would have used castor oil instead, if I had known about it, because it has so many other benefits in general.
It's really good to know it works on basal cell carcinoma, too!!! I'm putting it on every skin thing that I don't like right now, and so far I've had really great results with a shallow wart right under my lashline, and also the red spots which appear because the capillaries burst. My red spots started fading after the very first application, and I'm hooked on castor oil now, lol!!!

Thanks for sharing your experience Suzy. A few months ago when I came across the Queen of the thrones castor oil pack videos on UA-cam, I went ahead and purchased the pack and the organic castor oil, mainly because I was hoping it to help with my insomnia, hormonal problems and a 2 year burnout. While using the pack every night, I was sleeping a little bit better for the first 3 weeks and then the insomnia kicked in again and over the next 3 weeks wearing the pack I couldn’t sleep at all until it was time to throw away the old pack. Also the sunspots on my abdomen area that were in contact with the castor oil pack every day for 12-14 hours a day didn’t fade away nor disappeared. Now I am using the castor oil only for my morning oil pulling routine. Oh well, I guess everybody is different and luckily the oil isn’t too expensive to experiment with.

I have used castor oil for years and it is a staple for me. I work with animals and get scratched, bit, etc. I use castor oil to help heal. I haven't used any OTC items for years as this has been my go to. Give it a try. Even cooking burns, put it on right away, do not wrap. So far it has been great for that also. I like to read the reviews of others to see what they think and as of yet, of the reviews I have read I have not read anyone saying they had that kind of problem. On the scalp? Yes! And that can be a good thing. If it does happen discontinue use in that area. If your not used to it you also may want to take a patch test for each new area you intend to use it. I live in a tropical area, where skin fungus is a problem due to humidity. The skin fungus causes light or dark pigmentation marks on the skin due to moisture allowing skin fungus to grow. The fungus itself is invisible, you just see the effect - discolouration of the skin. The medical treatment here is Canesten cream - same cream used for thrush. And it does eliminate the marks (3x a day for 4 days or so). I have found that putting Canesten on cuts or mosquito bites straight away stops the fungus and prevents the white dots forming on the skin that are caused by fungus entering via mosquito bites. I've also used Canesten for dark marks by the mouth and under the eyes, with success. I'm now trying castor oil, mixed with hand cream and adding a few drops of cinnamon oil (caution: cinnamon oil can burn, don't use on face and never use neat, it's way too strong) and the light and dark blotches on my arms are much improved (melanin and lack of melanin). I was looking for an alternative to Canesten as it's rather expensive, a tiny tube, and it's 'strong medicine'. Interested to know if anyone else has found the same thing. I started using cinnamon oil because I noticed that when making cinnamon flavoured kombucha, it totally cleared the kombucha 'mother' to become white, whereas normally, the mother is blotched with brown patches, that are apparently, fungus or yeast.

I don't know if my info helps, but hopefully it helps a little.
I somehow developed a yeast (thrush) infection on the front of my neck, in the crease. I tried everything under the sun to get ride of it, but everything made it worse, especially tea tree oil and also bleach. I was willing to suffer the effects of the caustic treatments, as long as the yeast was killed. But, no, my skin suffered and the yeast persisted. Apparently yeast actually fights back (a dermatologist said that), and it will overproduce when attacked. So, you have to go slow and be sneaky. That said, the only, only, only thing I've had success with is by wiping it with ACV on a cotton ball once or twice a day. And at that, I've been doing this for a year, and I have zero symptoms, except that after wiping down with the cotton ball, the skin in the crease of my neck reddens, while the other skin is unaffected by the ACV. Which, to me, means that the affected skin is slightly compromised due to the yeast. So, I think the yeast is still there, but a small quantity of the super resilient ones. Anyway, I'm sharing this info because ACV is cheap and sold at the grocery store. I accidentally got rid of a skin tag on my neck by using it, so there's that, too. I started using castor oil on it yesterday, because it's anti-fungal like the tea tree oil, but castor oil is definitely not caustic like tea tree oil, so I hope the combo of castor oil and ACV does the trick to 100% rid my neck of the very stubborn yeast.
Other than that, I wanted to say that I had skin cancer on my face. I had it removed with surgery, but nearby to that spot, a new spot formed, and it was definitely skin cancer, because this particular type has the behavior of appearing, then disappearing, the appearing again, and so forth. That's what was happening, it had that telltale appearing and disappearing. So, back to the dermatologist and she said it was not cancer. I was truly devastated by her saying that, because the first thing I thought was that she was promoting/farming cancer in me, to increase profits for her clinic with surgery that would be needed when it got bigger. Later, I also realized that just to be safe, she could have frozen it off with a device in her office, or removed it with a punch biopsy in her office, and she did neither of these easy procedures.
But, I was on my own and I had to do something.
So, since I heard that some cancers are cause by fungi, and since I was already using salicylic acid to get rid of skin dots (anything I didn't like, I used salicylic acid to dissolve it away), I figured that instead of using acid on my cancer, I can use the opposite of acid, which is chemically "basic," the most common of which is bleach. And bleach kills fungi, so if my cancer was caused by fungi, then that would be addressed with the bleach.
So, I used qtips to burn away the cancer until it was gone. And wow, it barely stung at all, it was very mild. I super rinsed it all away, and then did nothing, no bandaids, no products. And, my cancer is completely gone, and it's been three years now!!! No scar either!!! It was a very, very good choice!!
So, anyway, I just wanted to say that bleach seems to be a good idea if used in a pinpoint area, as opposed to wiping it across broadly. If you wipe it across broadly, it will destroy your skin's natural, protective chemical barrier. Plus, you have to super rinse it all away, so that nothing lingers from the spot treatment, which can also harm the skins natural protective chemical barrier.
Castor oil is anti-fungal and super healthful, so I would definitely try that. I have light skin and I applied it on my stomach just lightly as a skin oil, to see if it would help a little like the castor oil packs applied to the stomach .... and it immediately turned my skin pinkish ----showing that it really does increase circulation and healing. I trust it to help a lot of things!!

My daughter has a bruise in the neck and I just put 2 or 3 times and we sow amazing cleansing in the area it's just gone, and if it wasn't me doing it I would not believe. Castor oil is a devine gift to the human being, God knows what he gave us. Plus I am using it for mouth wash and it's doing amazing to my teeth. It grows my hair a lot, my skin is not dry anymore, totally agree it's gooood😂🎉

I had experienced that same joy almost in the same spot on my forehead, though my spot was practically the same color as my skin. Even though it was harder for other to see, I knew it was there. I also had another smaller one in the 1 o'clock position spaced next to that other one, both similar and both moved in way/ time down and to the left of my forehead. I had been paying attention to the both for some years now. Never did they darken or grow, just moved more and more away from my hair line. The larger one was actually on my hair line when it all started some years ago. I found it very fascination how they moved
Caster oil made them both go away!
Methylene Blue made an old black head hole in the very center of my forehead go away! After months of taking just a drop a day in my morning water, I had seen that final puss/ oils get pushed out, the whole healed up and you can't see any evidence of original issue. (note that the Methylene blue didn't "seem" to affect the spots mentioned above.)
    I love them both!!

I've had warts before so I don't think it was one of those, but yes it might not have been a sunspot. I just did a bit of googling and I think actually it might have been a 'seborrheic keratosis'. Thanks for taking the time to comment, Kimmy!

It looks like your skin was darker in the phot with the spot. idk if you self tan, but tanner sticks to my brown spots and makes them much worse. Plus the sun makes them darker in summer. Your skin is paler now, so maybe it is still there, just not as visible. I still see the outline so... something to consider if you haven't already. I have been enjoying castor oil. The only improvement in my brown spots is they aren't as dry. Hope your spot stays away.
