CHATEAU kitchen RENOVATION, upper CABINET INSTALLATION and tiling - Journey to the Château, Ep. 104

- In this week's episode, Patrick and Stuart install the upper cabinets on the chateau kitchen wall that covers the time capsule. Once the cabinets are in place they prepare the glass front doors with paint and hardware. Patrick puts a base coat on the chandelier ceiling rose in the château grande salon, and also installs more of the beautiful artisanal tiles for the kitchen backsplash. They also share their recent visit to Lignières to give Tony his birthday present.
Join Patrick and Stuart on their journey to find a neglected, forgotten, or crumbling château or castle in France, and then continue to follow them as they work on its restoration, rénovation, decoration, and furnishing. Along the way, they will also create and share videos on their preparation for having gîtes for guests, and an event venue in their chateau (wedding, birthday, anniversary, organization or club meetings, retreats, etc.).

I don't blame you for getting upset to get people to fo their jobs. I am the same. I have been there before waiting 3 weeks for all new furnature to come from a local warehouse. I was irate because all of our old furniture was gone asvthey told us our new furniture would be at our house in 2 days. I also threatened to cancel the order and report them to better business bureau. All of a sudden the next day all of the furniture showed up.
I am so happy that Tony loved the clock, it is beautiful.
I am doing better. The pain is better and I can sit for a while. I guess soon I will have to attend in person clinic for daily dressing change. The tooth extraction went well. Hardly any pain. Compared to the pain I was in, it was a breeze. Thank God!
First day of summer here and it is rainy. My brother and SIL will visit July 6th for a week. I am so looking forward to it. I have been looking for red geraniums and marigolds, but our plant shops are almost bare. Oh well, I have other places to look. I can now drive again! Yeah. Short distances only though.

Good morning Patrick & Stuart, really beautiful and practical and very very smart. Hopefully your stove will arrive without any defects it will be perfect just for installation. We at intervals have so much to do, it does feel over whelming but, take heart. Work your way through it, and keep patience. there is still much to do, but in it's own time. Don't worry be happy enjoy each project. It was lovely to share Tony's birthday with him he was so chuffed and Jane is a great support for him. We got our outside light, my husband wanted the lounge lights changed and I said which is more important in or out and the vote came to outside, so a fitting was bought and my son will fit it shortly. See next month the lounge globes can be bought and done. I am so happy for you that the chateaux is coming together bit by bit by your standards and the lavender is looking great. The plant stand is working overtime it is constantly on seasonal change, now you can see it was an excellent buy, one item and many uses :) most practical and it is such a beautiful piece of furniture it has to be on show constantly with or without foliage. Gosh, I'm wishing there were stone walls in my home, but it's made of cedar and it loves to hold the heat, but then you feel the cold in the winter more.....can't win! Angry 😡 is red, green 🌳 is nature calming, blue imagen the sound of waves to unstress. Working in logistics I know enough about that deliveries that go wrong..to late or damaged. For the receiving party it's stressful and can get you to a point that you explod. Waiting 4 months for the cooker to get delivered is ridiculous. You could see that Tony was overwhelmed getting this gorgeous clock as birthday present. You're such dear friends. I hope that the tractor will be repaired and delivered soon.
