Hello, Toucan Travellers here! We hope you enjoyed watching our video on the most vibrant and cultural city, Havana. Let us know if you're planning on visiting or have already visited, as we'd love to hear from you // Hola a tod@s! Thank you very much. We would recommend Cuban Compass Tours : cubancompass.com/ Our guide was Alejandro and he was incredibly knowledgeable - definitely ask for him when booking if possible. The email is on their website and you can enquire about prices etc. Have a lovely time!
Hi Tommy! We did a guided tour in Havana for the day, so we didn't use any local taxis. In terms of cash, we'd suggest bringing as much as you can, as most places don't accept card. Bring lots of Euros, Canadian dollars and GBP, and avoid bringing USD due to the poor exchange rate. Susie
Boy, how I wish the United States and Cuba could see eye to eye again and fully reestablish relations including the repeal of the embargo. But as long as Cuba is under Communist rule, it appears that will dream won't happen.😥
I went to Havana for 5 days in May. I made a point to travel far outside the tourist areas. The people were nice but the vast majority were desperately poor. While I enjoyed the trip and the culture quite frankly it was depressing. Everywhere you went people were trying to hustle you for money non-stop. I don't blame them, if I were in their situation I'm sure I would be doing the same thing. I felt guilty eating a good meal at a decent restaurant.
Thanks for the feedback Larry. I hope it eventually improves for the people of the country. It's such a beautiful capital, yet saddened by the harsh reality for the locals.

Do it, Andre! They are lacking tourists heavily at the moment and could do with the support. When did you last visit? As I'm sure it's changed a lot!

@@ToucanTravellers Thanks
If you travel to Cuba go to see the real one, not the guided one. The regime don' t want you to see the real life cubans live.
Hey what type of camera did you use!?
Hey there! We shot the film with fuji film x-t3 and a go pro hero 8 :) but we now use the fuji film xt4 as its more stable when recording videos 😊

Desperately poor yet they all have access to food and 90% home ownership. None are exploited by imperialists and capitalists
@@ToucanTravellers As long as Cuba is under communism that’s not gonna happen. We’re trying to prevent it from happening here in the United States.
