My only tip. Done is better than perfect. I've been lurking for years on starting videos. I always begin editing, but never finish as I try to make each section as perfect as possible. Sucks. Done is better than perfect!

the desire for perfect drives many to never completing anything. And that has been true for me until very recently. Perfection isnt attainable, do your best, evaluate your work and fix. Youll be okay Emmanuel
my tip is make a few practice videos, figure out where everything is! you'll be much faster and better by just practicing editing

I downloaded VSDC and it's amazing how many things you can do for free... in the end, the software and gear are not as important as thinking through your story to have a start, middle and end. And to have everything scripted out beforehand so you stick to your structure and not ramble. Now that I finally got my hands dirty to start playing around just with what I have and free resources, I find that the most important ingredient is me -- to stay on script, focused and organized!!

Thanks for the great help and another excellent tutorial. The tip that I use the most, I learned from you! Always edit from right to left. Make the last clip as good as you can and work your way to the beginning of the video!
19:10 in and my anxiety is threw the roof with how many editing cuts I can tell you're doing. Good job man. This is alot of work to make a edited video of making edited videos

Excellent tutorial, Justin! 👍👍 The only tip I can offer is, if possible, have an outline of what you want to share in the video so when you start editing, you'll know where to make your cuts without fumbling around so much. The ideal is to follow your outline as you shoot your footage but we all know that's not always possible. Sometimes you have to improvise, but it helps to know where you're going with it and how you're gonna get there. 😁

This was awesome! Wish I had found this couple weeks ago. Been using Filmora (for 39 bucks) and it's been getting the job done. Found that to be a bit more user friendly coming into this with ZERO experience. As is, so much about this mad more sense now that I have struggled through editing my first 6 or 7 videos now.

I think the best editing tip is to gather all your music, video clips, sound effects etc, that way its easier to put em all together.
Another tip is to take full advantage of your video editor so u can include sound effects, text, etc Like If these helped you !!

My top tip would be to just get started, as soon as you do you will learn from your previous videos and what has done well, what hasn’t. You will get better at editing as time goes on, no matter what!

Well I want to create a good gaming montage with effects and the editor I’m using is called Share Factory it’s on ps4 and you can do it but it really hard
Have an adequate editing rig so it is smooth for the settings you are using:
720p 4 cores 8gb ram and low end gpu
1080p 4 cores 16 gb ram and mid gpu
1440p 6 cores 32gb ram and mid gpu
4k atleast 8 cores 64gb ram and titan or rtx 2080 and above gpu
