So true Jason. My entire career is in the creative arena and I create content for my customers nearly every day (I am freelance) - but nothing compares with the potential for creativity with UA-cam. Income fluctuates wildly and I do long for a job at times, but a few seconds' thought chases the longing away so fast...
For over 2 years of editing on my phone, I've never knew that using a CapCut on PC would be a game changer. It has more customizations than KineMaster, more features and more editing possibilities. I maybe starting to learn right now but this vid has a lot of information that could actually help for a small content creator like me.. Thank You Primal Video. 🙏
EXCELLENT TUTORIAL. I appreciated the depth and simplicity of your walk through. Also, the tips for your workflow in the editing process were spot on. I tend to edit in the most chaotic way possible and this is an easy template to follow. Well done!
Great explanation and love the fact you Zoom in for detailed views - not every UA-cam tutor does this, and can be hard if not watching on a desktop (e.g. TV or mobile). Would like to see you demo the 'tracker' in CapCut at some stage. Thanks for posting such a comprehensive guide in such a short period of time. Well done!
Wow, CapCut looks so innocent when you first load it, but has so much power under the hood. Thanks for showing where the steering wheel and pedals are. You got me driving this in no time!
The auto text to caption in Capcut is a game changer, I have started using it in my shorts videos. There are still some editing you need to do just to make sure everything is alright, it does most of the hard lifting saving me 80% of my time.
I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE AN EXPERIENCE: Ive been editing for a year now and one of the challenges i recently face 4:00 ( the ratio you said that is perfectly for instagram shorts), any time i set my ratio to 9:16 often make my screen freeze and gives my system issues .....I later figured out the solution which is importing an image that has 9:16 as it ratio, import the video clip i want to edit and then increase the size of the video clip to fit the frame perfectly and then delete the image because its not necessary
I agree with others when they say this is an excellent tutorial. As a beginner to learning CapCut this is the best I've found. So easy to understand, thank you all.
Thank you!! I appreciate this. I'm a beginner with Capcut, and this video answered many of my questions in a straightforward and comprehensible manner.
Clear and concise tutorial. Thank you very much. As a new user, I’m excited to try all of these options. I have two questions I’m hoping you will answer for me. First, how did you add the “timestamp” (maybe not the correct term) at the bottom of the video? “Interface”, “Import”, “Editing”, etc. I’m converting old home movies and I can see where having that added to the video would be very helpful. Second, it seems my player and timeline don’t match up. When cutting out sections of unwanted video, I’ve cut footage I didn’t intend to lose. There must be an easy way to get those in sync. Thank you!
awesome video! I needed to use some CapCut features in a pinch, after spending a solid week learning another program. Your video saved me so much time by covering the basics and having it all organized!!! Thank you!
Something I would also recommend for new CapCut users is to make sure you don't overuse effects and making sure your effects matches whatever your editing.
After spending over 40 hours on canva's "video" options and endless glitches and downloading problems, I was able to graduate to CAPCUT in less than an hour because of this video. I am so excited to learn a new skill and this video was the answer. THANK YOU!
Damn for free this is pretty great, you have all the essentials. I've used premiere pro my whole life but I literally might switch to this just for shorts and highlights to keep me focused and turn around stuff faster

Thank you so much for this video. I am just starting with UA-cam editing and really love CapCut. I’m looking for a way I can add a link to a video as an overlay? I have seen this in other videos and I don’t know how this can be done in CapCut. I hope I am explaining correctly. For example, as I am talking on video, and I mention a prior video, or a collaborator video, how can I make a pop-up link? Sorry if this is a silly question!
So 11:34 - let's say you have a bunch of b-roll and/or titles/graphics, etc. layered above your timeline and you decide you want to delete out part of that main timeline. When you trim the timeline, the right side clip will "snap" to the left clip to close up the gap from the deletion. When that happens, all your layers above will now be out of sync with the timeline after the snap point. How can you cause all the stuff on top to ripple delete when you cut out part of the timeline?
I've been using Screenflow for years but I think this looks even better. I was looking for auto captioning but this program can do everything. Looks like I'll be switching. Great Content, by the way

Incredible tutorial! Thank you so much! I know quality when I see it, and this is one of the best channels to follow for content creators! Thank you for making our life easier! Especially those just starting now!
I noticed when I was importing audio the audio is automatically muted for all. It's annoying to manually go into each one and up the loudness. Can I do it all at once? How can I be default make the clips when imported all zero decibles?
Hey great tutorial! I've been looking for an answer that NOBODY seems to address: How do you navigate the timeline when you're zoomed in? In Final Cut Pro, you press the H key. That enables you to drag left or drag right in order to move to a different part of the timeline without zooming out first. I've been looking for something similar in Capcut but literally nobody talks about this. Timeline zoom slider, and that's it. Please tell me there's a better way than constantly zooming in and out of the timeline.
capcut needs a search function for its effects and transitions.. and a way to increase the size of the audio so you can see the peaks or beats better in the music
Totally agree! And it needs a way for the timeline to follow the player screen. I hate having to scroll back and trying to find the same frame every time I make a cut.
Can you select audio track on a loaded video in CapCut? Im using OBS for recording and the exported mp4 has at least 3 different audio tracks. Will i be able once uploaded in capcut to select the tracks? Great tutorial btw and keep up the excelent work 👍
Does it have AI features, like text to speech, speech to text, translator, image making,, text to video, image cut out, and so on, video making ? Thansk very much.
This was an INCREDIBLY helpful tutorital!! There is only one thing I can't seem to figure out how to do in CapCut...I have multiple large files of old home vidoes (each file is over and hour of footage). As I am going through them in CapCut and splitting the video up, how can I save those "clips" as their own files so I can then categorize them in to folders, etc, so I can use those clips in multiple vidoes I'll be putting together based on categories? Or do you know of another program that would be better for that part of the process? Thanks!

I can't seem to find where CUT OUT is to make a fake background?
Can you select audio track on a loaded video in CapCut? Im using OBS for recording and the exported mp4 has at least 3 different audio tracks. Will i be able once uploaded in capcut to select the tracks? Great tutorial btw and keep up the excelent work 👍

Thanks!
