Just got mine today from Buck it came in that box nice . Great knife love mine. Now I have 7 bucks. The 124 is the best looking one so far all I need now is the 120 General thanks
Finally! Someone says what I know to be true. Made in Mexico, especially when it comes to anything leather, does not automatically mean that it is trash!
Just bought the #Buck102Pro and #Buck120Pro and they both came in black slip case boxes as well. I think Buck has different models that are sold in different packaging. Classy presentation for great knives/tools and keeping both magnet clasp black boxes. 👍
Well folks....when you pay $185 to $200 bucks for a 124, you better get the Custom Shop grade presentation box and packaging. Plus, the 124 has always been a limited production knife, so the high-end packaging adds to the collector's value. The 119 Pro and Custom Shop knives all use this very nice black box, so it's clearly used for Buck's higher-end offerings.
@@bushcraftdevotions5851 update: I just got an order from Buck in and I got my first black box like yours. Starting to think the black box is for their higher end knives, like above $100.
I bought a new custom Buck 124 knife with a Cocobolo handle and the name of the person I am giving it to engraved on it for $305.00. Impressive. I am sure he will like it.
I bought a 124 straight from Buck’s Amazon page, and it came in this packaging as well. My knife is dated to 2021, and has “2021 Limited Edition” printed on the blade. I’ve seem other Buck Limited Editions come with Certificate of Authenticity cards, but this one did not. Did yours come with a certificate?
@@CJG45lc Awesome, that’s good to hear! So far I’m really loving mine too. It came in the mail yesterday afternoon and I’ve already spent about six hours whittling with it :)
Yeah, there's a special edition 124 in Buck's 2021 "Legacy Collection." It has an ebony handle instead of micarta, and it costs $60 more. Buck can't make them fast enough; they're frequently out of stock.
@@Knifeguy1a the 124 I got has “2021 Special Edition” printed on the blade, but does not have ebony. It has the standard black micarta. Do you know anything about this variant? I’m having trouble finding info on what this “limited edition” really is. Apart from the nice black box and “2021 limited edition” printed on the blade, it seems 100% normal. On top of that, it didn’t come with any sort of card or certificate.
Thanks for your effort. At 3 33 you did not show the knife yet! Only few seconds on knife and back to the sheath...Are you in the shipping business? Box, more box and sheath..Please we are checking Buck because is American, show us the product. Thank you
Glad you're happy with your Buck. As a kid one of my very first knives was a buck knife. Then as I got older more knives became available with alot more options. For some reason Buck knives apparently has decided to stay behind the times both in materials and design. I mean, they are still at least two decades behind every other name brand knife manufacturer at this point. Don't get me wrong, I love the Buck knives that I have because they have sentimental value. My first knife, my father gave them to me etc. And others just have history. But when it comes to choosing an actual daily use knife or just a useful knife that you're actually going to use, way too many other options that have newer materials and better designs today. I looked at Bucks lineup a couple of weeks ago because of another video I saw of somebody and they're new Buck knife, I don't see anything that I would use over other options out there from other manufacturers.
I have a 119 from 210 with the limited rosewood grips and brass metalwork. They have really stepped up their beautiful knives.
The tasteful thickness of it.
That you, Patrick Bateman?

Yessss complete the collection!

Its just a leather sheath many hide leather goods from mexico are just as good as Italian hide leather.
Thanks for sharing! I appreciate it!
I love the knife AND the packaging! Nice job!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
This vid is a testament to our new society, more excited about the box than the knife!🤷🏻♂️
Lol watch the video about the knife itself. My box is in storage - my knife is always close by! Thanks for watching!
A well packaged knife shows Buck actually gives a damn. That’s a good thing.
We're all cats and kids now! ❤
I love the new box too!!! 😆 just got the new pro 120
I got my Buck 124 a few weeks ago, direct from Buck, and it came in the same case. Such a lovely knife.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Come on Buck, bring back the quality leather sheaths like you had in the early 80s and before that.
Very Beautiful! You cannot go wrong with any of the AMERICAN BUCK KNIVES ! I've got to score one of these!
They are very nice! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Got the s35vn pro 119 recently and it was packaged the same way

Gonna have to change your name to Boxcraft Devotions lol. First review I've ever seen on a cardboard box though.
Lol funny! Packing was a good marketing plan. It actually increased consumer likability and sales for Buck.
Great knife and presentation

I think those boxes are sent with custom/special orders only.
It is a stock knife. I ordered another stock one and it came in the same box as well.
@@bushcraftdevotions5851 maybe you just got lucky. Either way, count your blessings for getting the cool ones. The yellow ones are cheesy, IMHO

It is a really nice knife and I would get one but I really don't need a large knife for the things I do. But Buck is my favorite just the same.

Great video? Just got a 119, wouldn’t mind a 916 next 😅
I bought the 124 2021 limited edition straight from buck and it came in that box

Just received my 124 directly from Buck in this packaging! So it is a normal method of packaging.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! I enjoyed it!
I left @1:30 cause there's no knife in the video yet! 😳😒
I got the 120 general web exclusive from the buck website came with the box very beautiful but I tossed the box it’s of no need for me but it was nice

My Buck 120 didn't arrive with a box like that. Just the yellow outer box and that's it.
Many knives that were out and in store storage places still had them. Probably some years stored I can imagine.
3:30 of admiring packaging? Seriously?

they don't have the new 124 in s35vn?

Scroll to the other video on the actual review of the knife itself. You can tell because it says “Knife Review.”
You bought a knife and got excited about magnets in a box? I’m confused
It’s the packing! It does make a difference in that sales has went up with their knives since packaging.
Enjoy you jews.

Yep, definitely Mycarta
Horrible camera work.

Damn who wants to look at box? Get to the blade man!
That's my other deep dive video on the blade.
