I have the Turbosmart dual port bov on my n55 135i with high flow 4inch catted dp, bmw performance exhaust (= res deleted) and it is really almost non existent when normally driven. Most people wouldn't even notice that it is even a thing when driven normally. It is rowdy and awesome when you deliberately want it to whoosh.
i have a vr7 on my 4banger camaro fully straight pipe love the sound never gets old and def turns heads everyone always wonder whats under the hood little do they know its just a measly 4banger😂
I combined both. It’s hard to hear with a regular mic in the car or with the windows down because of all the wind noise so this is honestly how it sounds driving around with the windows down.
I’m just curious. Do you have an aftermarket intake on your car? I have an aftermarket cold air intake and I’m thinking of adding this BOV and I’m curious how it sounds when they are paired together

You would be a damm fool to install this on a V8 lol. Because of the location, the BOV will eventually fail due to over heating. That information came directly turbo smart the manufacturer technical team.

For the N63, do you have to buy it for both turbo diverter valves, or just one of the turbos.

I installed these on my 650i and I can't hear that whoosh should at all :( I also installed downpipes tho Maybe they're over powering the sound? 🤔
You probably purchased the plumb back version which won't make a woosh sound

Now i do and i'll do a follow up video with the intake. It was stock with a drop in filter.

Reliability it's been good. No major repairs outside of power steering leak/replacement and thrust bushings. 60k on the odo so far.
Got 125k miles on mine and no issues other than cracked dash on passenger side

Make sure your pressure sensing line is 1/4". The 1/8" sensing line often doesn't allow fast enough response, causing the compressor surge.

I haven't heard of it hurting any engines. If anything, it will reinforce a weak part. It's pretty solidly built.
