Unusual little lamp, the only ones I've seen were made by Primus which was a Swedish company( I think), and were fueled by paraffin.

Meths is Methylated Spirit also known as Denatured Alcohol.

Love the video and the lamp, would be a great burner for a center flue boiler, very like the Saito ones. How long will it burn for on a full tank?

I just got one of these nice little things.
Now I have a question about the wick you mentioned. Is the chamber filled with it or is it just a wick like in an old kerosene lamp?
    Thank you, sir.

I wish I could help you, but I have never removed the wick from my blowtorch. It looks very tightly fitted and I didn't want to risk damaging it.
Since the wick does not actually burn, I would think that it should last almost indefinitely.
