I wish I could help you, but I have never removed the wick from my blowtorch. It looks very tightly fitted and I didn't want to risk damaging it. Since the wick does not actually burn, I would think that it should last almost indefinitely.

Unusual little lamp, the only ones I've seen were made by Primus which was a Swedish company( I think), and were fueled by paraffin.
