- Engine company 8 and Ladder truck 1 of the Boston fire department responding to a central station alarm which is actually an automatic fire alarm. You can hear the dispatch message at the beginning of the video. This fire house is located in the North End, Boston's oldest residential community //

Because the street is at an angle in relation to the top of the bay doors, and when the firehouse was built, Ladder companies were tillered, and not rear mounted, and therefore height of apparatus was not a concern.
Excellent work!
Nice catch
If you can't drive in the north end you can't drive that is the best place to learn how to drive
could be easier for L-1 to turn out of the house. Its a really tight street, especially with traffic
they have always parked in those bays....ever since i can rememeber.....and I've been there almost sixty years
Nice roll out.
Good Pic . Thanks for posting .
Why are they parked in the wrong bays?
Great catch! 🚒🚨
That's where the trucks were originally located when the station was built. They have since switched locations, but the FD hasn't bothered to change the signs.
jazzbutterworth why
@@benjaminkeith8392 regardless of where they are parked, E8 and L1 are still assigned there. So, it's still accurate
0:37 the trucks should be switched
SkY Adapts it doesn't matter
Have always been in this order, as far back as I can recall.
I've been in that house.
ICH LIEBE DAS BFD Mai 2014 YES Monti in Boston filming :P
They have too. It's MA state law that all emergency vehicles must have 1 or more blue lights facing to the ear.
The sign over the bays are very deceiving
voodoo_ 1990 lived there my whole life.....on that street.....its easier for the truck to exit there.........even back in the tiller days.......same procedure
MrToocooljoe probably easier out both ways now with the smaller EOne Cyclones
Why was the ladder truck parked in the engines bay and the engine in the ladders??
In the early 1980s Engine 8 was a two-piece company. And yellow!
nice video man!!
It is easyer for the ladder truck to turn out of the "engine" bay, it has been that way since about 2004
The pierce Engine 8 had was scrapped
The real Q sounds SO much better.
Nice video :-)
i like the high pitched q on the engine it sounds like its from chicago or new york errrrrr
The ladder had the rear blues turned off!
Some engine reserves have EQ’s
Ladder 1 doesn't have rear blues, but the left rear rotor motor must have died
Nice the EQ2b
Any body noticed that pumper had a rear turning axle
nope
Because of the North End's very narrow streets and tight corners
it sounds like my Sirens on Mansfield MA Fire trucks
dirk has the is one hell of a fire buff to maintain composure and not video the GIRLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
hotties, hotties, hotties!!!!! lol
Too bad the Blackhawks won...
