    for those who complain about the use of sirens with no traffic around ... if there were a car that came out of "no where" and hit Rescue 2, they could sue and say "they didn't have their siren on".

      FB1 Response Videos yup, with the radio blaring or ear phones in, which is illegal, people don't pay attention. Also in an active fire, people in that house may hang on, knowing help is close.

      Please folks, remember. If we hit someone, and we didn't have ALL of our emergency lights, sirens, and whatever else we have at our disposal....activated, then guess who loses that lawsuit, no matter who was truly at fault !!

      In the state of New York, the law is lights on, sirens on no matter the time of day or night.

      Car or a person. They’ll complain about that too. People who complain should rarely be taken seriously unless it’s a legitimate gripe

    I'm not a firefighter but I deliver for a company in that area and there's always cars speeding up and down those streets and pedestrians and bicyclists darting in and out all times of the day and night so the use of the siren was good in my opinion. I just wish people knew how to park in that area.

    Some great driving on very narrow streets. As a former driver, driving instructor, and now Company Officer, I do prefer drivers using both hands on the steering wheel. Regarding the siren, these fellas were very professional and respectful by not letting it scream at the 123dB it is designed to do.

    They had a little difficulty finding the right address it seems. That's just the way it goes sometimes tho nothing we can do about it. Great videos by the way Dirk! I'm becoming a huge fan if your channel! Hope to see you in southwest Florida sometime soon! I live in Lee County Florida about 45 min from Collier County/ Naples I'm a firefighter in cape coral.

    It's like driving a tractor trailer thru city side streets with the turning radius of a 747 plane, lol & yet it is still a bad ass piece of equipment.

    They need some smaller rescue truck it seems like the big truck struggles with the tiny residential streets.

      josefina Sandén it’s actually smaller than rescue one it’s a single rear axle unlike rescue one which has two rear axles because of the neighborhood.

      1701spacecadet If someone comes out of know where they can sue us if they hit us and we don't have our siren on so please do your research before you comment.

    • @flairball
      @flairball 6 років тому +3

      1701spacecadet Massachusetts law defines emergency response and that definition requires the use of both lights and siren. The capt uses the Q sparingly to remain compliant with the law.

      First off, that’s a Q2b, motor driven siren, that wasn’t shit for noise. You want noise? Let em wind that bitch tight and give ya all 160db? Sound good? Good.

    Amazing with all the technology available today, they are still having trouble finding the address during a cardiac arrest. Scary to think that when seconds count, they may be freaking lost!

    • @Rummeltobi

      Boston isn't set up like New York with using grids. While Boston does have streets that connect Mass Ave to the Boston Common using grid like roads, that's a mostly central location. For the most part, Boston's streets are all over the place.

    • @tnzayatz6579
      @tnzayatz6579 Рік тому

      As mentioned below, those people who don’t put addresses on their buildings are just a**holes. Really messes a response up especially at night. Even better are the nouveau riche who have their addresses written out in script.

    • @Msmedic424
      @Msmedic424 7 років тому +1

      МиљковићSRB doesn't matter if they hit a car it's on them and they could be sued . So it was needed and that should be pretty common sense

    • @miljkovicsrb
      @miljkovicsrb 7 років тому

      Michael Smith There was no traffic and they used sirens... Americans always have to be complicated...

    • @Msmedic424
      @Msmedic424 7 років тому +1

      МиљковићSRB it's part of department protocols it's called saving your ass if they go through a red light or intersection and hit a car it's on them which could have been avoided if the car heard the sirens . Apparently that's not something foreigners use .

    • @miljkovicsrb
      @miljkovicsrb 7 років тому

      Michael Smith Dude, they were using sirens where there wasn't any traffic. They should use sirens only while crossing the red light or while approaching the busy crossroad. Europe is doing it good so far but USA always have to be complicated.

    • @Msmedic424
      @Msmedic424 7 років тому
