- the box call for a duck boat on fire in the Charles river...
Engine 10 - 2008 E-One Cyclone II 1250/500
Tower Ladder 3 - 2005 Pierce Dash 95’ MMA (former Tower Ladder 2)
Rescue 1 - 2007 Pierce Quantum Heavy Rescue
H4 - 1993 GMC/E-One Tunnel Unit - Авто та транспорт
There was initially some confusion as to what the incident was and whether it was a technical rescue or not. We were on the phone with dispatch while they were receiving updates. When it was confirmed to be a tech rescue they dispatched the rest of the tech rescue companies. That's why it looked slow.
I can see the dispatchers face when he paused to think about "duck boat fire" for a split second lol
0:25 wow they used the fire pole that's really cool
That Duck Boat must have been well done by the time they got there.
And why do you need so many trucks for a duck boat they are not big at all😂
@@haiden_07 exactly why do they need it for one duck and the fire truck can’t even float 😂🤣😂🤣
for everyone commenting on there turn out time if you listen to the video the dispatcher only dispatches a few of the station units which is r1 and eng10 with the bat then truck 3 and h4 get called I have to say eng 10 did take a long time seeing that truck 3 got dispatched after them
yeah and the tower left before the engine. keep exploring Clay, this is pathetic.
i love the station really cool response, great video
It wasnt a tech rescue at 1st, so e10 TL3 would not of responded. Once it becomes a tech rescue they would hence the delay
Great freaking catch dude!!!!!!
It's sucks that the real R1 was in the shop during this. But nice grab of all the units responding
It did rescue 1 is my baby love when I see here lol
Last time I was in Boston I saw the real R1 responding alone somewhere. It was cool to see
Josh W i was out Sparking with my friend and i hopping to see it but nothing. last time i saw was in south boston at the st.paddy's parade
It DOES suck.
Nice capture of a full response.
Very nice
I love how everybody's an expert I'm how long should take these guys to get out. maybe you should think that they got toned out at different times and maybe they're going on different calls. Some stupid people comment on these things.
Love the video!
I like the way people in Boston say "chowder".
Excellent video !!! :-)
Nice catch brother
Got a Q on that truck & don't even use it 😠
That's what Im saying like bro crank that q up
Does a one legged duck swim in a circle?
Why did hazmat 4 went the other way?
That hazmat truck is old
Was it one of those calls for the entire station to respond to?
I believe 60 seconds is the average turn out time out dept is at 30 seconds to 50 seconds at the most to leave
WOW GREAT VIDEO
Ha, im Talking during your video. Great video Mark.
Did E10 responded to the original call with E3 and the Truck and what about HAZMAT 4 another call??
thats was not haz-mat E10 TL3 R1 H4 (Tunnel Unit) and the district chief all respond to a duck boat on fire in the charles river
***** What does the "H" of H4 mean? And which chief was that, who rolled out with R1?
Toby Cameron Division 1. i don't know what the H stand for but i'll ask my friend thats on rescue 2
***** the H means it's a specialty unit I think. It's used for the call sign
FIRESPAHK hazardous materials
Must have been a formality for the insurance company!
Never say the Q WORD! Firefighter 101 LMAO
More like First Responder 101
What is H4?
Must had to let the trucks warm up I guess
The others left and turned right. That last one turned left, were they confused?
there was another way to the scene..
+FIRESPAHK yeah, it depends on which roads are generally free or what's faster to get there.
avenger007007 also depends on what roads you are taking. Some ways might be faster, but larger vehicles cant fit down those roads
wicked pissah video!!!!
I’ve seen duck boats when I was in Boston but never been in one. I’m from maine
out of house times are terrible!
That was a reserve rescue.
What is a duck boat??? I heard the term when the Bruins won the Stanley Cup, Is it a boat that tugs larger boats into harbor? That last one out looks more like a beer truck than a fire truck
They are old WWII amphibious boats that give tours of the Boston Harbor, the tour starts out on land and then you take a dip in the river, a must do if your ever in Boston!
Paulo Rodriguez Oh, ok, must be one of them armored personell carrier things with wheels on it that also goes in the water, i may have seen one on Revenge of the Nerds, and didnt realize what it was, thanks
*****
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DUKW
Unfortunately bro it carries people on it.I think their death traps if u ask me.2 people perished in PHILADELPHIA 3 yrs ago.Its a truck with wheels that can drive on the street like a truck but can drive like a boat in the water.......
Paulo Rodriguez or in the Wisconsin Dells. Considering that’s where the idea originally came from.
thank you love respect after 9/11 thank u all to fife department gracias
That's a helluva response for a duck boat fire! Those things aren't that big.
Uhh the rescue is not a pierce in this video. It’s an eone
You NEVER say the "q" word at or near a station.
What is a duck boat, I'm thinking one of those peddle boats, but is it like an army duck?
interesting how cities like Boston don't have the station numbering system Los Angeles has, and how a unit like rescue 1 is housed at station 10, where as station 88 in LA (Sherman Oaks) has Engines 88 & 288 Truck 88 Rescue 88 and rescue ambulance 88
Boston runs only 2 rescue trucks. Rescue 1 is the rescue truck downtown
Josh Wn j
***** u live in a small town or a city? City's mix numbers on trucks all the time
+JuszCause it varies place to place. I think LA runs units that have similar numbers but only in what they call a light force. For example, truck 38 and engine 338 is a light force in LA and would respond together if the light force is dispatched to a call.
LAFD numbers units by station....for example, truck 27, engine 27, engine 227, rescue 27, rescue 827, and usar 27. The only exceptions are command vehicles, boats, and helicopters.
why did it take so long for the Engine an truck company so long to respond?
what is the address of that firehouse
John Hooper Jr. 103 137 purchase street
My dad works on r1
Everyone is going on this fire call
i used to work on a fire department. never say the q word. that is like inviting trouble.
q word?
@Dave Ziesmer the s word is even worse.
@@dragon21gaming98 quiet. That is like dropping a bomb. Even though I was a part time firefighter/paramedic we had a rookie firefighter/paramedic and he said at the start of the shift he wanted a quiet day. We barely got breakfast down before we started running.
The rescue truck isn't a pierce it says E One right the front grill
YEE YEE the pierce was getting work on and that’s was an old reserve rescue they had.
@@FIRESPAHK welp I appreciate you clearing that. Next please put like reserve rescue 1 or sum. But gear vid man
Nice why did ladder 3 go to a duck boat fire?lol
cityofmatchbox fireandpolice depends where it was on Fire. They are able to use city streets since they have wheels.
They were bored lol
we are a very small volunteer fire dept and have a better turn out time. our FIRST engine normaly responds after 2-3 minutes. but it always depends on what time, day or night, weekend, what kind of call and where our szene is located. so on the highway we are most of the calls quicker than in the local area. but this depends on the traffic
sorry for my bad english, i am from austria
Over 3:30 minutes to leave the barn?
duck boat fihe in the dihty watah!!!
Hahahaha
Hazmat - Hazardous Materials
One eva 2020
5 minutes that every vehicle is out? woooow O.o
Oh look! It’s a reserve rescue
What was the q word
quiet
well I accidentally said that @ the fire hopuse 'cause I'm a volunteer FF and then we got a call but thanks any way
WHY… does it take these crews so long to go enroute??? This is disgraceful to the fire service!!,

Not as bad as the BPD but my god, hurry up! Remember when that truck ran the guard rail into a pond right off I-93 North? They blocked off 4/5 lanes and backed up traffic as far as half the damn state. I blame them both. Was on my way to NH about 10am got back around 2pm traffic was even worse.
What's wrong with saying quite? Proofreading is your friend. The word you want is QUIET!
Poner en Castellano
Spare R1 :(
LAD23DER one the old rescue 2s if im not mistaken
Long gone now
They should have sent a fire boat. What good is three engine companies for a fire on water.
4 min+ Roll out time??? ......not good
xfernydrummerX some were called later.
Long Beach, California fire is faster than this!
Mark check my vids out im actually friends with u on facebook. Great catch

Wow first unit out at 1:37, 2nd at 1:46, 3rd at 3:46, 4th at 3:52, 5th at 4:33. Say goodbye to the duck boat thank God I don't live in Boston, I thought New York was slow this is sad.

@@MrTenor-ch5gs Write!
@@ABMP4D3 se yow gett eit
Everyone besides the rescue are as slow pulling out of the house as FDNY... No sense of urgency it seems... Then again, What are they going to do for a duck boat on fire IN THE RIVER... lol
If you listen to the video at all the engine and tower weren't initially toned out which is why it took so long
@@MrTenor-ch5gs Yeah your right. Sorry.
Volunteers coming from home would get the trucks out of the house quicker than those last 3 got out. Geeze.
Slowest turnout ever!!! Very disappointing for a great department!
absolutely pathetic response time! embarrassed for you!
greg gillam they got toned out at different times
Too slow
