Really enjoyed your video as I spent 10 days in Guangzhou in July. It was very hot, around 38C every day! I stayed in a regular hotel in Liwan district and had absolutely no problems, so I guess you just had bad luck. I went to the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Zhu Jiang Xin Chun and the Canton Tower too. Also South China Botanic Gardens and Foshan, amongst other places, both well worth a visit. I love Guangzhou and will definitely be going back. Your video brought back a lot of happy memories, thank you!
Haha, one point in the video I want to explain is that when you carry the liquid on the subway, the staff usually ask you to take a sip of your water. It is a measure to prevent dangerous liquids such as gasoline from being taken into the subway. Of course, there are liquid detection machines in many places, and you just need to give the liquid to the staff and wait for the test. But during peak hours, in order to save time, the staff will let you have a sip, which is more convenient and quick

Welcome to Guangzhou as known as Canton, the origin of Cantonese culture. Although there were many changes in recent decades but Guangzhou still the main city in southern China represents the southern culture and traditions. You should try roast goose that is very famous cuisine in Guangdong province.

Hi, Jay and Karolina! I'm one of your fans from China. I came across your videos on Bilibili and I really like the way you interact with locals and share your understanding of Chinese food as well as culture. In your first video of China journey, you said you're gonna spend a month in China and visit a number of megacities. May I know whether whether Wuhan is among your destinations, and if so, what's the approximate date? Cuz I live in Wuhan and maybe we can meet by chance!
Guangzhou is the capital of Guangdong Province and an ancient port city. As early as the Tang Dynasty, Guangzhou was one of the most important foreign ports and also the birthplace of Cantonese and Cantonese cuisine. Guangdong cuisine and Sichuan cuisine are two completely different cuisines. I hope you can taste them separately.
@@JayandKarolina Cantonese cuisine is light and the seasonings are simple, just to avoid destroying the original taste of the food as much as possible, and the soup of the food is a very important dish and the essence of Cantonese cuisine. Sichuan cuisine is just the opposite. It is very rich in seasonings and very spicy, so people from Sichuan and Chongqing cannot adapt to the diet when they arrive in Guangdong.
In China, if a store has a "必吃榜" sign at the door, it means the food in this store must be good, because this is voted by many people on food apps. In addition, Guangdong subway stations will test liquids, such as perfumes and beverages, during security checks to prevent dangerous items from entering the subway stations.
You booked an apartment hotel, usually they rent different private apartments, so the layout of almost every room is different, they don't show all the photos on the website, they only show a photo of a room at the same price. So I basically don't stay in this kind of apartment, because it is often too different.

In China very few hotels accept foreigners, not to mention with pets. Not very welcoming.

The popularity of inbound tourism is also a microcosm of the continuous improvement of China's comprehensive national strength. It not only demonstrates China's openness and tolerance, but also brings us new development opportunities.
Loving the content. What are current temperatures over there?
广州温度27℃
Thank you so much!!! It was 27 degrees Celsius on that day but it felt way hotter 😜
@@JayandKarolina factor in south china high relative humidity, easy to feel 5 to 10 degrees hotter
Beautiful night view. This city is nice. Luck y’all ❤❤❤
Its terrible journey & amazing tour thanks ma'am and sir,
porridge should need a fried dough sticks😊
JAY LOVES YOUTIAO! ❤️❤️ But had to have the rice noodle rolls as they're very iconic in Guangzhou :)
awesome trip! Awesome vision of Beautiful china and his Very Kind People 👌
Welcome to China!❤❤❤
I love Guangzhou, beautiful, about 2 hours ferry boat commute to Hongkong airport with checked in luggages. The city is clean, organized, and very safe. During the peak hour the subway is really busy, but they are able to schedule the train run one by one every 2 minutes, amazing efficiency, quite fast, though still packed. other than the rush hour, I enjoy taking subway than cabs.
Great vlog! 🥳 Thanks for filming the reality of travelling too 😊👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it Pamela! Sometimes it feels like we're not really showing the Behind-The-Scenes that you might see as entertainment too so we're planning to show more of it in the upcoming vlogs!!! :)
Welcome to Guangzhou as known as Canton, the origin of Cantonese culture. Although there were many changes in recent decades but Guangzhou still the main city in southern China represents the southern culture and traditions. You should try roast goose that is very famous cuisine in Guangdong province.

the ferry trip amazing not the heights one terrifying , i never realised that from one part of china to another the total difference in food ( i'd have struggled with spice ) . How is electric powered there ? great video as always
Yeap, the food is very different from each city in China, especially the south and north.
China is totally different level.. a good thing is they can stay humble yet helping their neighbors to success together.. magnificent
Muy inteligente lo del agua, te hacen beber el agua que traes para ellos asegurarse de que no es algún tipo de ácido o gasolina.
I saw your video on bilibili and came here to subscribe to you.😊
Great! This is our main platform so hope you'll enjoy watching our videos :)
Me too🎉
Thanks for you guide.I will
go travel to china soon
Welcome to Guangzhou. In fact, the roast goose in Guangzhou is also very delicious. The price is much cheaper than that in Hong Kong. There are also authentic Chaoshan restaurants. If you come again next time, I can be a free guide. Finally, thank you for telling me the truth. Show China to the world!
Traffic here is true....not very in order.
Some people call it "freedom of moving around as you want".
Yeap, a lot of motorbikes
The Clan buildings are not temples!
Absolutely fabulous! Thank you ❤x
Try to choose a chain hotel. B & Bs can sometimes hit a brick wall
THANKS A LOT.
VERY NICE WORK.
We are the foodies so we've tried many dishes already and found the food to be way different in each region! :)
Great job bros
In China, if a store has a "必吃榜" sign at the door, it means the food in this store must be good, because this is voted by many people on food apps. In addition, Guangdong subway stations will test liquids, such as perfumes and beverages, during security checks to prevent dangerous items from entering the subway stations.
great video!looking forward to ur video of shenzhen!❤❤
Coming soon! 😍
You booked an apartment hotel, usually they rent different private apartments, so the layout of almost every room is different, they don't show all the photos on the website, they only show a photo of a room at the same price. So I basically don't stay in this kind of apartment, because it is often too different.
Thank you for sharing it's just like I have been travelling with you to see so much amazing views
I am going to Shanghai for the third time this year ! After seeing your video, guangzhou is on my next list ❤ thank you for sharing
Shenzhen is also very beautiful, welcome 😉
That's not a Chinese sausage but the normal western sausage. Thanks for the tour in Guangzhou.
roast goose is a must have! dont leave china without giving stinky tofu a go!!
We've tried Roasted Goose in HK! You'll see the verdict but it was a bit controversial 😂😂
