- Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
Today we're going to be driving a Class 444 Desiro EMU on the Just Trains Wessex Mainline. Today we're taking over this service which has originated its journey in Poole, and we'll be driving it as far as Brockenhurst. The actual service runs as far as Winchester, but we'll pick that up in Part 2.
The Class 444 is an absolutely fantastic unit and a true pleasure to drive! We're just a little 5 carriage service today operated by just the one Class 444, which I'm sure will be a relief for the guard, as they won't have as far to walk to check the tickets!

Good video as always Joe. I drive 444/450's out of Waterloo for SWR, initial braking for Desiro's is 35%, I often then vary between 30-60% braking and between 30-35mph at the platfrom ramp arriving depending on the platform length :).
Also the shop on 444's got removed for more seating during the refurbishment.

2:30 the Weymouth to London services are either 5-Cars that go from Weymouth to London, or they're a 5-Car from Weymouth that connects to a 5-Car from Poole and then carries on to London. So yeah you're basically correct
We used to have a lot of the class 360 desiros in Essex when greater Anglia had them along with the class 321s. Sad that they’ve all gone now 😢
from what I know from using these trains for years they never had a shop but when they were with South West Trains there was a trolly service.

Joe you should turn on EFX in the settings, it makes the sounds outside the cab a lot quieter!
Hi guys need some help when I use the class 444 in the game after about 1 minute their is a rapid beep and I am the only one who seems to have it if anyone can help that would be great
Usually it's the DSD pedal, if you press E it should reset it :)

It's very odd to see you drive a 444 on this route, as I've only ever seen 450s operate the all stop service between Poole and Winchester.
444s and 450s are quite slow, especially compared to 350s, as their power is limited due to power supplie issues on third rail. 444s are limited to about 70% whilst 450s are limited to 50 so that they have a similar performance. (they have the same number of motors, but 444s have one extra carriage and longer carriages)
