- Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
Today we're going to be driving an LNER Class 800 for part of the journey from Inverness to London Kings Cross. This video sees us drive from Dunblane down to Edinburgh Waverley, calling at Stirling, Falkirk Grahamston, Haymarket and Edinburgh Waverley.
We're running a few minutes behind schedule which could result in us losing our path into Edinburgh. If this is the case we're going to end up sat behind a stopping service! That's not good!

Many great memories of GNER. Such as when me and my pal got kicked off a London-Newcastle run at Peterborough, so got the next one and my pal got kicked off in Darlington. And the time I was already three sheets to the wind and the air-con in our car was broke. Missed Newcastle and ended up in Edinburgh on the last run. And it was during the festival. Great times.

what did your friend do to get kicked of twice?
@@JoeTW67 The first one was because we were smoking out of the slide down windows on a HST. The second was another passenger complaining that we were swearing (we were both navy lads, it's a second language) even though we were in the vestibule.

Taking about different types of dispatch im pretty sure the Northbound Chieftain has to self dispatch at stations like Kingussie and Avimore but the southbound on a morning is definitely staff dispatched at nearly every station apart from Carrbridge on a sunday and probably a few more im insure about.
I have just realised that I actually saw this exact service on the first of April with 800106 at Avimore! what a coincidence

36:41 there are now two road bridges, the old one is now only for buses(?) and emergency services only now
Fantastic video Joe this route is amazing and another Lovely scenario by magic Toad i agree the new class 91 livery looks fantastic i much prefer the new livery to the cola can one and the full Edinburgh to London would be ace 😁
I've put the idea to Magic_Toad and we're just concerned with the ECML merge being as unstable as it is, whether the livestream would actually work. But cheers Imran I appreciate your lovely comments as ever my friend :)

Does train sim world 4 have overseas trains like in Europe i whould love to see that where you drive the Eurostar to Paris on something like that you will have to learn new signals though 😂❤

The only thing is lner don't call at Dunblane also at 38:30 thats the depot for the Edinburgh trams.
LNER does call at Dunblane but not very frequently.

Yes the 801 is electric only with 1 backup engine for emergency use
38:35 that’s actually the main tram depot and the trams turn around there and head back into the city as far as I understand.

Class 801s only have 1 diesel engine so they can run in diesel I think but it's not as reliable as the 800s as I think they have 3 or 4 engines I think the 802s with TPE r similar to the 801s engines wise i think I can't remember off the top of my head but I'm sure someone will correct me
the 801's diesel engine is for emergency use only and iirc they're limited to somewhere around 20mph when using it. Its for use when there is an issue with getting power from the overhead lines, which could include a pantograph fault.

The title is the name of the service, which starts in Inverness and terminates in King's X. The title is correct.
